One thing u miss in this video is kid's part in marriage . Most of the the time kids are a major reason for not going to a divorce . Bcz after divorce u may loose it's custody . That is a prime reason for some people to kill their partner other than going for a divorce . So that partner is eliminated and kid is retained

One reason why humans tend to make more choices emotionally is because, rational choices require us to think more to get a long term perspective. And thinking requires energy. We tend to minimize energy consumption and do things that are more energy efficient. I can't remember where I read this but it makes sense.
Your Law of minimal regrets reminds me of opportunity cost used in economics. It's the cost of foregoing one option for the other. It can be applied to make any decision, not necessarily economical ones.
I had some more thoughts but now forgot. You should do a video on economic theories because I believe many of them can be applied in daily life. I find it very interesting.
