Hey Alex, I absolutely fell in love with the BMW R or K 100 bikes , when they are turned into a Cafe Racer style, they look sexy period . Love the set up on yours and the colour choice , I was debating a Grey and ( Taupe / Mahogany seat ) combo . Seeing yours and I'm sold , great contrast ... Thanks for the breakdown on the costs .. Have fun and thanks.....
Your a legend brother! There aren’t a lot of vids out there regarding cost of whole transition 👌🏽 Keep it up ! Looking forward to the Budget vids! Any updates on that?
thank you very much for all the info. it is totally awesome build and i am seriously consider doing one myself. as you mention the fork conversion is a little bit pricey, any other recommendation you suggest? thank you once again. awesome build.
looks sick, thanks for sharing the cost. I want to build a k100 or k1100 cafe racer but wasn't sure how much to expect the total build to cost. What yours comes out to is in my opinions pretty reasonable.
I just started to work on my k1100. My plan is to keep the forks and wheels to save some money but I am thinking to redo electrics with mo.unit blue. Not sure though if I should keep the ABS, what to do about those front and rear sets. I would also like to reroute the exhaust to the other side but considering this is my first bike I'm thinking this could be left for a later stage. Looking forward to see your budget build series.
hey Alex, great build ! question, those velocity stacks, i noticed that inside you have some covers in it? correct? can you give some details about that? thx
You did a great job and it looks amazing, still cheap than what my bike cost me to get it looks good, I learned a lot from you and looking forward to seeing the new project 👍🏻 if possible would you please share the links to the website used to buy the parts 😁 thanks 🙏🏻

Where did you get the seat? Mine is flat. Looks fine, but yours is nice. I'm turning mine into a scrambler after the cafe build

@@alextrout2631 yeah your first build is what got me to start recording what I do to the bike and put it on tiktok lol
hey Alex, great build ! question, those velocity stacks, i noticed that inside you have some covers in it? correct? can you give some details about that? thx
Thanks a lot and yeah it’s the covers they came with it’s just a mesh screen with a rubber seal around it
@@alextrout2631 cool. What did you do about the air sensor? Where did you get those?
Where is the VIN carved on the frame? I need to know this information in order to validate one BMW from 1990.

Speedometer do you used ?
How did you swap out your stock coolant tank for a glass bottle?
I just make a bracket and did it
My name is Doug im on my wife's UA-cam. Where are you located got the same bike. Not sure if im going to just sell it or try something else.
dual headlight or aux is a good idea........I had a headlight go out, at night, on a curve...... fortunately I was famaliar w the area.
I just did my k100 1985. The cost was $40 altogether.
What’s the purpose of changing forks?
It looks cool haha
The question is, how much is the bike worth now that it’s converted? If it’s more than $6500 then it’s an investment not an expense.
Haha I got some crazy offers
Where did you get the bags from
I think my wife got them from Etsy
Wow that’s a lot of money but at least it’s look’s cool
Haha thanks and that’s all that matters
What year is the bike?
96
So safe to assume my 94 k1100 won’t have to worry about the MAFS when adding stacks
I bought a 1991 bmw k1100 with title no keys $500
