Check out the engine rebuild video as it goes a bit more in depth. This was a good fairly low mileage bike to start so there was no need to dive into the internals of the engine.

I feel like it would have looked a lot classier with a leather seat instead of that red one

      Red seat looks great!

black leather would have been 100% better than the red, it would blend in really well with the black frame

And replace that modern headlight with an old school halogen unit.

I agree. I loved everything but the seat and the neon blue paint scheme. Other than that, she's a beauty.

Agreed, the red doesn't work with the blue

You make it look so easy, and after my first few months with my K75RT, I believe it really is, for the most part! They really made that platform super easy to work on! I'm already really interested in upgrading to an R11-1200 sometime in the near future, so this might be a fun project to copy with mine!

Once again I’m impressed with your build. This build has a lot of potential yet still. What I mean by this is if you reposition the gas tanks angle you’d see a huge difference in the overall style....for the better. If you want, you can send the bike over to me and I’ll arrange the tank in a more neutral position.

In reality if you want the perfect angle you will need to chop the entire rear frame and start from scratch.
