Being “combative” out of subjective idealism that is devoid of pragmatism would be disruptive and unproductive. Stability is still the prime preference of the majority of the Singapore electorate. The undeniable fact is that there is always room for improvement in any policies adopted by the ruling party, and the Workers Party should always be there to point out the flaws with fact-based arguments.

You are dam right. Because LHL users huge amount of money to cover their 'liang xin'. So all they do is .. NOTHING. Every month just take money. All they do is how to squeeze we singaporean for money. Now hawker also have to take 12 month course from temasek poly. You gotta to be kidding me man..if they are sincere of topping our cpf. Just top up! Why must we put in $600, than they Will match the amount. They can take our money anytime from our account. But we have to wait till 65. Moreover it's bit by bit. Honestly it make perfect sense to keep quiet. If i make $50K-100K monthly. All i have to show is that im doing the "work" and not upset any of my seniors so that i can continue in my career progression. If you look at the opposition, they're willing to voice out simply because, money is a secondary incentive to them. And they're in politics for the right idea and intention - speaking for the people; although they are not perfect. For the issue of picking up the kid from school. I guess people like you only want matters for your OWN convenience. Did you even stopped to think that by your nephew arriving late to pick up his kid, the school's staff would have to stay late and are those staff not deserving of getting off early and having dinners with their families ? There is NO incentive to get you to save via CPF, if you do not top up yourself ... If you are able to withdraw your CPF as and when you want, and assuming you've fully withdrawn and somehow was not utilised productively and has not improved your current situation. While admire and appreciate Mr Pritam Singh for being a straight-forward, articulate political figure, the naivety of some opposition voters/supporters that WP will magically solve all of Singapore's problems, is absolutely laughable. Like bro, there are all the pros and cons of policy-making, you have to compromise in the mid-way sometimes, sometimes you make tough trade-offs etc. If WP someday comes to power, it wont automatically means there will be zero foreigners working Singapore, it won't mean suddenly everyone will afford Condos etc. These are tough policy questions and wont be resolved overnight.
