Whens the 2024 version coming into play? Loved the break down of each car, then the concentration on the hot lap. Hopefully see you back on your grind soon.
I drive the mclaren😭 lol had it forever and finally got to do gt3 so was useful for my first season. Was looking to upgrade so this came at the right time👍
Great review! I've been running the Lambo since it was released. It does seem a little more stable than when it was first released. Rear wing angle makes a huge difference for corner entry and exit. Recently in the fixed series at COTA the Lamborghini outperformed most of the other cars in the corners, but on the straights it was noticeable slower even in the draft. I was faster than a lot of other drivers, but would struggle to make passes due to the slightly slower speed on the straights. I'm sure it was BOP related. Definitely a fun car that rewards a consistent driver. Have fun this season!
Had two races in the Porsche yesterday on Watkins Glen and I find it more fun and rewarding than the BMW. Absolutely agree that it is so easy to point were you want to go and it just takes you there. But I am still ~1sec slower in it. It requires a different driving style than I am used to :) Disclaimer: I am not one of the fast guys, fastest lap is 1:49.low in bmw and 1:49.high in the porsche.
More gt3 content please! Also, how should I drive the rear engine 911 gt3 vs something like the front engine AMG? New to iracing gt3 and trying to pick between the two for the upcoming season. Thanks!
Coming right up! Porsche gt3R track guide coming up tomorrow, I specifically go over how different it is and how to manage the weight transfers, so stay tuned (:
Great video Dorian. Really enjoyed it. I drive the GT3s exclusively and I would really appreciate it if you could do more of these videos mate. The Lambo ay! Who would have guessed lol. Keep up the good work. Cheers Andy 🏎🏁
Thats exactly the comparison I was after. Will still wait for the porsche to be available for testing though, as I already have the RSR. I must say, you did make it hard for me to choose between the Merc & Lambo now, which were my top3 along with the beemer. But will give it another go, if the servers will be down any time soon. The lambo is kind of reconvincing me now, especially since its also in IMSA and I am after some longer racing ATM. 488 driver, learnt to live with it, but need a divorce asap
I'm struggling to choose a car myself as of this moment, might want to wait for some hotfixes and see what's what. You should know that in the fixed series, the lambo isn't going to be good on the curbs, so there's that to consider.
great compairance video for GT3 cars. I got Mercedes myself. and I like it myself. felt hole lot easier to drive than Cadillac which I've driven also :P
@@DoriN12 Hope so. I haven't tried any other GT3 cars yet. All thought next season is planed to be Open Wheel season for me with Formula 3, Formula Renault 3.5 and Indycar mostly and maybe Radical for fun racing even thought it's not open wheel car.
love the video! lambo it is then.... i see that you are using the apex tlcm mod.... didnt know they had a purple one... u went purple white without any spring.. how do you like it?
Yeah the new edition comes with a pre-load replacement, I talk about it in the video Yannis posted here. I love it, can't go back to springs now. It's pretty stiff, so I went with the absolute softest setting on 95 kilo on the sensor, seems to work great for gt3's/lmp2/f3.
Loving the new Porsche, I'm a Porsche fan so I tend to race Porsche cars in racing game so you can guess how thrilled I was about a GT3 R. Bit bummed that irFFB is lacking understeer slider for this car but I'm sure the dev will update that soon.
Yeah to be excpected with new cars, I wonder if Fuzzwah will get a new release going soon. The Porsche is stupid fun to drive I agree, went on the Nurb 24h layout yesterday, we were a pack of 4 gt3's, felt amazing! turned up the volume all the way up too, they really nailed it with the engine sound.
The laptime on rbr depends a Lot on cutting T4, T6-7 and prelast Corner. Thats what Made your differences in laptime, mainly. 😉 I drive a very curb forgiving Setup at rbr, to be close to wr, because of that.
Good to know! Thanks for the tip 😀 I have to say I was kind of overwhelmed while making this video, driving 5 different cars on a new track, one after the other. I was finding it difficult to find an optimal line because I kept going back and forth. Would be fun in to race there in a couple of weeks for sure.
@@DoriN12 you are propably right anyway, because 'not getting the Power down' means, it doesn't deal well with the extreme track profile and thats actually how i feel a bit with any RL BMW too, even thou i like them - i live close to rbr Ring and our Farmers drive a Mercedes or Audi in their Mountains. I change my BMW to an old Audi S2 Coupe( S1 inside), with a selfbuilt 100% rear diff lock and a short gearbox from an Audi 80. BMW is useless on icy Mountain roads, If you dont put the swedish on, the cooling in the trunk and add a compressor 😁 😉
Lamborghini has been the one I've been most consistent with and fastest with as well. Thanks for the confirmation lol. Just wish it didn't sound like it was the easiest to drive. But oh well, im sticking with it. Plus it looks sexay
It could very well be a matter of driving style. I'm very aggressive, so I tend to enjoy stability. That being said, the fixed setup doesn't seem to work that well for Road Atlanta for example, so it could have been just a fluke that the fixed setup was perfect for RBR.
As with any car/track combo, it is mainly up to the driver's skill. That said, I'm not the most skilled driver, but I can get the Ford GT3 to really turn some comparable laps on the Red Bull Ring.
Well it looks like I can get the Porsche down to the same sort of lap times I can do with the AMG on Road Atlanta. The problem is the fixed setups, they don't really work that well for all tracks, the Lambo for example is useless on Road Atlanta with the fixed setup imo.
You should have driven the porsche again since you improved on the circuit, and the other cars you knew them a little bit better than the porsche, but still a good comparison and a good personal opinion, thanks
You're right, but it was 2 am and I was 6 hours in to this video. There were many things I wish I would have done differrent. Thanks for sticking around and watching anyways (:
Your description of the ferrari was exactly what i feel when driving it. It's only gt3 I own and bought that one because I could race it right away in d class. So which other gt3 would be better or "easier" drive?. Especially for a lower irating driver like myself. Thanks for your video. Cheers
I do love the McClaren as it's just great to drive but that said it's not as easy as these newer cars. Also not as nicely detailed but it does have a great feel about it. I think I feel about the McClaren how some guys feel about the Mercedes (which is by the way the one car I regret buying personally). Just the feel is what I love. Need to buy maybe this Porche or the Lambo as newest GT3 car I currently have is the BMW.
I bought the McClaren yesterday, honestly, it's the most fun to drive by miles. The only problem that I can see with it is how it manages curb strikes, if they sort that out it could easily be one of the greats.
@@Jonualike I just couldn't drive it when testing, it didn't feel right to me idk why man, would have been awesome to add it to the mix but it's like I'm 1-2 seconds off with it. Maybe I'll need one of your uber setups haha, the fixed just isn't working for me. And regarding the Lambo, it's probably casue RBR is super smooth, tried it on Road Atlanta and it felt aweful, so really track dependent.

Cota really suits the Lambo, it likes the smoother tracks for sure. You too man, have a great season!
Great video! Drove the porsche today and I think it will be my new car. Gotta try the lambo too after watching this.
Nice, good luck out there
Great Content as usual :)
One question, did you use irFFB or iRacings FFB?
yes, he did use irFFB, he mentioned in another comment that it's great for GT3s
As our boi Yannis said, I use irFFB pretty much exclusively now at days, just a dream for belt drive wheels.
nice intro! great analysis! Good luck in the upcoming season. Looking forward to see more of your races and livestreams.
Awesome! thank you and I'll see you out there (:
Great video! Love your analysis and descriptions!
Thank you kindly! Will do my best to keep them coming (:

Nice video! Are you considering making a track guide for this track ?
He does track guides for official races. I don’t think RBR is on the VRS schedule, but I’m pretty sure a lot of other series go here so he may.
