Deathbrewer Keiichi exists in the anime. In one episode, he calls Bunta and they recall their times racing against each other and how scary Bunta's driving was and how Keiichi laments Bunta for not becoming a pro racer. At the end of the last episode, Keiichi introduces himself to Takumi. Such an awesome show.

the 90s had the best JDM car designs. the square flat box shape is timeless, but Mazda is another story with their curves on the Miata and rx7.

I love FC if it come to Mazda. But love AE86 Trueno 3 door so much because of how the body shape, the pop up lamp, and the simple interior. Yeah sure, you might say it was because Initial D. I mean yeah, but that was another factor that make me love so much because I already love it before know Initial D.
Nissan Silvia, RX7 and a R32 in a video about an 86. These are the cars of Iketani, Ryosuke and Keisuke, Nakazato and Takumi. Great.
I wish that Toyota would re produce the 86 stock that has modern parts such as fuel efficiency and basic car needs these days. I would buy it in a heart beat if that ever happened

7 years ago i watched initial d for the first time . Bunta said" the Ae86 is a car that trains the driver" and i was like ahh anime explanations. Right now i believe the show is not just anime, but an anime grasping the element of a racing driver!! and also what a car!
Keichii Tsuchiya worked with the author of initial D to ensure that the series included some realism.

this is about feel the engine by heart.
It is by no means the perfect Car (body literally rips from the stress of drifting) but Man, it's such an amazing machine, fun to drive, no computer nonsense, no assistance in driving the thing, so good to look at, better than any of the modern designs that we have today
you cant say that 86 hasnt been heavily modified, that suspension has been completely rebuilt.

Deathbrewer just look at the setup, as someone who owned a completly stock ae86 that is not the stance a factory stock ae86 has.
Hachi Roku Hey man have you seen him drift stock 86's before? I have an 86 and the stance definitely isn't stock, but the fact of the matter is that drifting an 86 is bloody difficult.
Only the engine is untouched otherwise the entire car has been modified in some way

Their easy to get, just get a rusty bzr Levin with a black top and pull the engine, you'll need a rwd gearbox though

Man I want an 86. That Levin looks so neat. I prefer the Trueno, tho. Always been my dream car, so unfortunate they're not that common anymore.

Toyota could probably start to rebuild this car to the exact same specs from the 80s and it would still sell like cupcakes...im happy with the GT86 though. Considering how the laws and homologation standards changes since the 80s, the GT86 is probably the very closest thing to an AE86 they could have built. Maybe not the engine, but thats minor, since the B4 isnt a bad engine. Its just not as good as the rest of the car really. Buy ive driven many GT86s (including on the Nordschleife) and that thing is amazing..

Sky High no. in the series he was driving Trueno (pop up headlight ver) it was much different then this
