... the track better suited the 86... a very short track w/lots of turns would mean the FF Integra is handicapped... even/especially if it has more power
Yeah that's the nature of front wheel drive, especially as the wheelbase is longer as well, Plus it's heavier on a longer circuit it would fair better. But I think both cars are pretty evenly matched in very different ways so whatever circuit you choose it cannot be completely fair..
Can't believe hachiroku beat the teg r, but I guess the Integ's power band is not suited for this track. I love the integra, it has to be the greatest fwd ever made, however a good rear wheel drive is superior.

wow the itr had skinny 195 tires?? 225/45 r15 at least. in almost all best motoring videos they complain of understeer in fwd cars, but the prepers that bring the cars to the show never tried to put bigger tires at front
Used to watch BM decades ago back in middle school (good old VCD days haha!). Back then I didn't see how skewed their racing was towards certain brands/cars/drivers. For me, BM vids are still nice entertainment, but not to be taken too seriously.
This makes no sense. How skewed their racing was towards certain brands, cars, and drivers? Maybe you just don't understand Japanese so you don't really grasp whats really going on in the video.
I agree, they chose a track which favored the 86... all those tight turns even with the DC2s LSD would still put it at a major disadvantage... it suffered with heavy under steering...
Maybe but I if the other guy was familiar with the 86, The dori himself would've struggled. As it's very tight circuit, which favors oversteer over understeer, The ITR is FF and has a longer wheelbase plus is heavier. All limiting factors at a circuit like this. Both cars are pretty evenly matched in Very different ways. It definitely would've been closer...
Obviously, the 86 had to win... I don't understand the purpose of this match... The course was setup for a RWD... there are no fast corners and almost only more-than-90-degree ones. An FF could not win that one, but Orido-san did an awesome job at keeping the gap small ^^
For reals, it's a poor man's B16B making less power and torque from the original B18C R. While Dori Dori had his personal fully tuned car: 1.8l upgrade/itbs with FD. Side note: when the 86 beat the EK9, it had the upgraded 1.8l minus the FD, tuned suspension but the EK9 was completely stock from the factory. The '86 got embarrassed so bad that BMI had to pull some shit like this. Imagine the EK9 smashing the '86.
Nor is it inferior.... Both cars are pretty evenly matched in very different ways... I think it's more the very tight circuit, which favors oversteer over understeer, The ITR is heavier has a longer wheelbase and is FF All limiting factors at this circuit.

(10 seconds later)
"Oh shit! How is he so fast?"
DoriDori and the 86 is so awesome to watch, a natural extension of his body, and hes always so fired up when driving it, superb!

Even though I was rooting for the Honda, you can't deny how in touch Tsuchiya-San is with that 86. Amazing driving, as always!
Who said this show is Honda biased? They evaluate them cars honestly.. True sportsmanship no lie brothers 😊
Keiichi love for his 86 and racing will never die
I thought the Integra would win. Takami never fails to amaze
Saw that one coming. DK's 86 is no joke.
That AE looks so fun to drive!
Two of the coolest cars ever made.
I've been hanging around this channel for long time. It's time to subscribe! Keep up the good work.
Miroshi, you make my life.
When he came out of that corner feathering the throttle, it was beautiful
Yes! Miroshi is back!
bjgeorge762 Not really back though :), but anyway I still have a bunch of videos coming, the next upload is scheduled for next Sunday.

things isnt going so well when doridori

winning with oversteer is always a good day!

The AE86 is modified, not too fair...
Iceman7 the Integra had a b16 engine not the type r b18
cr2nr it had ctr cams instead of itr cams it was still the b18
EG6 is better than the integra
I would have liked to have seen them go back to the original course where the first battle happened.

AE86 all the way!
Thanks for sharing, that was fun to watch. That poor teg though :(
How or why would you dislike this.
because the itr lost lol but i didnt do it ( hit dislike)

Love how they have a bikini babe standing outside on an overcast day.
Wow the 86 is good man.
thanks for the upload, that is a shitty little micro track, they should have raced full Tsukuba..
ps w Yeah, the ITR would have won on the full circuit, that's why they chose the mini track.
***** the type R power is more broad for longer tracks. this is to show the AE86 is more agile on smaller tracks
BlueRice Yeah cauz the AE86 has like 130HP 1.6.....and Integra like this has probably 190HP or maybe even more
I agree, they chose a track which favored the 86... all those tight turns even with the DC2s LSD would still put it at a major disadvantage... it suffered with heavy under steering...
Tsuchiya's 86 has about 170hp.

Let's be honest. If dori was driving the teg he would've won

The integra has a b16a. Why?
