@@吱娜终国 I read somewhere that Harvey Weinstein may have had an agreement with Matthew Morrison from the beginning. I think Morrison had other projects ongoing at the time the show was in development. It had mixed reviews, but despite that, I think Jeremy was generally praised for his work on it. Who knows? Maybe if they kept him, the show would have found more success. I think Weinstein felt Morrison was probably more bankable, but the man's a creep, so perhaps it was a good thing that Jeremy wasn't associated with this project more than he was. He still did a hell of a job.

I was fortunate enough to see this performance twice at the A.R.T. In Boston and got to meet Jeremy after a performance. He was great in this role and for the life of me cannot understand why he wasn’t cast for Broadway over Matthew Morrison. Agreed. And i legit didn't know the accent was meant to be Scottish. Like no disrespect to Matthew Morrison as an actor but that accent was attrocious. At least Jeremy can hold the accent and it sounds like what its supposed to.
see, i wouldn't necessarily say this role was "perfect" for Jeremy as much as something like Newsies... but that's the thing. He always rises to the challenge and blows your face away with the passion in his performance. he literally acts his butt of and sings his heart out and it has never disappointed me.

I know he’s not a dancer so the choreography for this show was challenging for him (which I honestly appreciate him taking that on tbh) but no one can say he didn’t give EVERYTHING he had and THAT is why he is a brilliant performer! That and as others have pointed out - damn that voice!

I have hyper focused on the Broadway version of this musical for about a year and I got to say I think Jeremy Jordans is a lot more intense than the Broadway version. I’m a little biased towards the Broadway version because it’s the one I heard first. However I can see why people prefer Jeremy‘s J.M. Barrie over Matthew Morrison‘s. Both of them are fantastic actors in their own right though.😊
@@Orholam5 That’s an entirely valid opinion. Each version has its pros and cons.😊 That being said, I LOVE it when Jeremy Jordan gets right right up close to Captain Hook’s face in this version. He really takes control of his fears and him standing up to Hook feels much more powerful here.😊

Don't get me wrong i think Matthew Morrison is great but Jeremy in my opinion does this character better. But I also have to take in account that we may have missed out on Jeremy's Winn Schott in supergirl and THAT would also be a crime.
That was wonderful but why was his mic turned down? The pirate was louder as was the supporting cast and only at the very end do we get full on Jeremy. Weird.

This song in D minor instead of C minor is so much better. That final A4 has so much more power than the G4 in the Broadway version
I personally prefer C Minor but this version's amazing too.
The High G is better for this song imo, but no one can complain about Jeremy singing his iconic A

He certainly nailed the Scottish accent far better than Matthew Morrison did.
