You guys got to buy the video that his family put out. It's amazing and will completely blow your mind away even more when you see just what kind of mind this man was. Phenomenal.
To add to Jerry's comments about the Super Twins classes of racing and Bears class, the World Super Bike rules gave Twin cylinder bikes a cc (1000) advantage over the 4cyl bikes (750). So lots of manufacturers jumped on this and built V Twin Super bikes as well as smaller companies and people..
I was waiting for this episode.... but fxck me! you guys talk so much sxit during the episode that gets hard to follow the story... i love the accent imitation and stuff but sometimes i feel like loosing interest with so much sxit talk... Love John's story, ive seen his bike in person at the Tepapa Museum in Wellington... and when you are in front of it, thinking about how it was made... idk, you kinda feel something in the air around... the colours pop up at the distance when you are walking through the museum. Its very inspiring. When you are in your mid 30s thinking that "might be too late for..." or you wished you've started "that project" that's been in your head for years... You can still do it, fail and learn about it. Stories like this one and Burt Munro are amazing.
Lets Go Wink Wink Nation! And Welcome Jeremiah! Im into bikes as well so its cool having you on board! Is there a video of Nolan and Joe went dirt biking with you Jerr? I would LOVE to see that! I honestly think you should put more bikes on Donut! I just LOVE Jeremiah's laugh! It definitely contagious. I have an RC51, its not light, its uncomfortable, it doesn't have the top speed, but I would never get rid of this notable V-Twin Race Bike! Holy Shit the Britton V1000 cost $100,000! Whaaaa?
I burst out laughing when they were making fun of his wife’s name. Not good when you work in an office 😂😂😂😂 All of you guys just improving, it’s the best!
Loved Jerry!!! Love motorcycles!!! Please put up pics on the screen what they are talking about! As they describe the bike and how cool it is I'm like wow I gotta google this on the freeway
Didn't enjoy the podcast, guys. I thought it was tastless and disrespectful to a genius of a man. What put me off was the laughter and joking around. I'm from New Zealand. If a person from any other country did what John Britten did, I'd not fool around joke and laugh at his accomplishment.
44:45 Funny you say that its weird that John had access to the same stuff as McLaren even though he's in NZ, as if McLaren wasn't also founded by a Kiwi
The twins class got huge weight break and was lighter than the four cylinders that everyone was using and Britten used this to his biggest advantage and after Britten did it then the Japanese 🏯 brought out their bikes like the RC 51
As a man who knew John, thank you for this podcast. It was great to hear different views on his accomplishments and losses. However I was disappointed to hear you disparage the loss of John’s father. To ridicule the death of a parent has to be one of your lowest moments of commentary and humanity. You can do better.
Wow this was utter rubbish. One of the motorcycling world’s most brilliant engineers and you’re mocking his accent (with an Australian accent) and talking absolute drivel. A Britten V1000 is one of the worlds most valuable bikes so have some respect.
I love you all donut media team i am from Pakistan the only content i consume since last 2 years is Donut.. i am building my Suzuki Swift 1997 project car and i don't need a mechanic even in Pakistan. I love you guys but jermyee is my Fav 🫡❤️
Finally you guys did a motorcycle episode with Jerry
You guys got to buy the video that his family put out. It's amazing and will completely blow your mind away even more when you see just what kind of mind this man was. Phenomenal.
No one laughed when James said “look how sharp their teeth are” that almost made me choke on my lunch break
Kiwis don't talk like Australians.
They sound like a cross between English and Aussie s accents, Ive never heard anyone in America be able pull off a Kiwi accent
More episodes with Jerry and Justin please.. great episode Gents
I saw a Britten at the motorcycle museum in Solvang California 2 years ago
The energy Jerry brings is contagious! Great ep 👍
More Jeremiah! great episode and awesome subject. Great to have an engineer's viewpoint on the technical stuff. ❤

Mocking the accent and not even acknowledging his story was annoying, had to stop.

Best way to start the week is with a donut podcast
May I suggest an episode on Erik Buell? Another motorcycle designer with a similar mindset on design
Didn't enjoy the podcast, guys.

I'm from New Zealand.

Same, they just mocked his accent the whole time, John Britten is a legend, hope his story is acknowledged more sincerely by another channel.

Can we not pop up the pics you’re looking at for the viewers?
Unfortunately, we've run into some copyright stuff with the show, but trust us, we'd love to 😭
The twins class got huge weight break and was lighter than the four cylinders that everyone was using and Britten used this to his biggest advantage and after Britten did it then the Japanese 🏯 brought out their bikes like the RC 51
"The world's fastest Indian" would be great!
We covered Burt Munro recently - check out episode 203
Very cool
James casually turning into dobby 😭

Mclaren was a kiwi too.
10 miles high 💨
Hey guys I have a 1984 Mercedes Benz s300TD and I wanted to make it into a black smoke drifter do you think it’s posible
😅
The twin cylinder bikes could weigh less than four cylinders but didn't have the horsepower to beat them and the Britten was the first to have both
Im im Boise idaho rn
Passgas more like pass 100 adds before you injoy the show
Brother, you can skip the ads
Hey Bob, they've prob got a Patreon if you wanna take over funding the show for all of us
Make gokarts, car haulers builds , scion frss
If I had a twin I'd wear the same thing you can't get much better as of a model than having a twin you know exactly how u look 😂
This episode is ordered incorrectly and it breaks up the two Mercedes episodes
Came in f'ed stuff up and left
It's not the amount of time you've had it the impact you've had on the world
