Figured this would be a handy series to continue, especially since the game is actually out now. I've even found a few new ones myself in my leveling - quests I didn't know existed for 15 years....pretty cool! Catch me live on www.twitch.tv/madseasonshow
MadSeasonShow I’m curious, which ones did you find during your leveling? Love you videos by the way. It has gotten me so immersed into classic. I love it!
Edit: Grammar
You cheeky bastard I saw a private video in your playlist today... keen ty for these
I love your videos! They make me feel the game not just playing it! I also love the ff7 music that you are using in your videos and i would like to ask you if there is any chance that you are going to make same videos for ff7 ;; it would be awesome and as i can tell from the music you have to be a fan off ff7! I suggest to go for it! 😇
@@Heyselby The orc report was one, there's also the secret maps in the syndicate camps in hillsbrad, a book in rutheran village....too many to count!
@@madseasonshow Thanks for this just got that 14 slot bag on my 36 rogue... a bit of corpse running but not too bad. Good xp too.
Our monotone holy father blesses us once again. Secrets for all.
Don't want to be that guy but, here it goes, they aren't exactly secret are they? They aren''t hidden, they just don't have a massive yellow exclamation mark above them
Bruh
Captain Holt baby
Why the hell would Barley, Rye, and Corn not be found in Westfall? Place is a giant farm 😂
Evidently those crops dont grow well in westfall..must be the drought
"Here you'll find the severed hand of an orc grasping-"
*Petty, happy Zelda music plays.*
14 slot bag is soooo good for classic
MadSeasonShow is a national treasure.
The quest for the flame breath trinket was something I didn't know. I'm 45 on my warrior with no trinkets, so I'm planning on doing that chain tomorrow because of this video. Thank you, sir.
@@paultar_5047 Now that one I remember. Such a great game reference.
one is just learned yesterday is in Mulgore in the Brambleblade Ravine. If you go to the right at the very end there is a small cave with a scroll on the ground that starts a quest called "Attack on Camp Narache" where you will get your first shield. not a big one but i loved finding it because for me these little things are just what makes classic great. love your videos
Getting rewarded for exploration by secret unique content is one of the best feelings ever, especially back then when there was hardly a way to share and track all this information.
Thanks! I remember doing Loremaster in Wrath and, after doing all the quests from the hubs, trying to find the secret ones too! A few of these I already knew, but please, do more of these! It's a lot of fun seeing what quests I missed during those times.
I always look forward to your videos! I managed to find the three clues at the burnt down inn in Dustwallow, but I missed the other quests! That fire breathing trinket looks epic!
always get in the mood for a session of classic after watching one of these
I like how horde questchain gives you super blue ring, than alliance quest just ends.. horde privilege
Alliance have more quests than horde, also they have way more alliance only rares than horde does, every area is set up more for alliance to make it easier also.
Don't forget Thrall's Resolve. My bear is pissed.
In the last few days I've been binging madseasonshow, can't wait to watch this one!
I remember getting that Boot Flask back in Vanilla, was quite the journey with a few of my guild mates, still have it in my characters bank too.
This is a great series, Mad. I am not too familiar with all the hidden quests, so something like this is really helpful for those like me who really enjoy exploring the world...of Warcraft.
The 14 slot bag from Cortello's riddle is a must have for saving money on bags early on. I've also found 2 other 14 slotters from the 30-40 trolls in STV. I did those boats a dozen times in Vanilla and had no clue about the secret quest either, it's just that hard to spot in a random place, I think if I was looking for charts like the previous quest on the boats I may have found it, but no reason to be down in the bottom of the ships when the captains for the kill quest are all in the middle deck.
I just watched episode 1 this morning. What a surprise to see episode 2.
P.S never played WOW, ESO man myself but I love the insight into the world I missed
Absolutely loving the Classic videos, even when they aren't relevant to my play through its great to see what else is out there 😊
Holy crushing nostalgia attack. That ff7 music.
Man, I love these videos. They are so relaxed and informative. Thank you Mad :)
You're absolutely my favourite at the moment. Keep it up, brother!
Thanks alot for the 14slot bag and the good XP I got on the journey. Helped a lot.
Thank you. I actually found the scroll under the bridge earlier today and was so confused why I couldn't pick it up. Now I know there's a precursor.
Part 3! pleeaaase bruh, I need more happy memories and new quests to do that i missed!
Thanks MadSeasonShow! Keep up the great work!
The background music, FFVII, gotta love you for that one :)
Had no idea about the one in Dun Morogh. That's just so great.
Have you ever talked about the graveyard next to Moonbrook in Westfall? In the daytime the graveyard has buzzards mobs and not much else going in. Come back during the night and the graveyard is filled with ghouls. In classic i would farm these ghouls as they had good loot tables.
Never knew about that one! The game does change a bit with day/night cycles though which was a big deal back then. In silverpine there's a werewolf camp where they're humans by day, and worgen by night. You also have the nightfin/sunscale from fishing....pretty neat!
Cool stuff MadSeason. Thanks!
love these videos as i try and do as many quests as possible not rushing to 60 .. and still some eluded me :D
My man is fixing to hit 300k subs!!! Its awesome watching this channel grow for so long. Good job!
I'd love to see one of the "friendly" players of classic message Madseason in a group saying "Did you even play vanilla, noooob?" Well good sir, little did you know, Madseason is classic GOD. Great video man! Keep it up :D
Great Vid Mate! I completely forgot about those quests :-)
Alliance OutRunner in The Barrens drop a quest that can be paired with "The Den" Quest in stonetalon mountains. There is also three named animals in The Barrens that drop scrolls that can be turn in for some fat xp
These are 4 elite mobs that look like alliance players on mounts and will heal/CC you like a group encounter, level 21-25. They mainly wrecked anyone autorunning through the southern barens or those clueless enough to get close, people never grouped up to kill them. But if you did you got rewarded with the quest item, very rewarding and cool.
@@cattysplat you can simply pull the runner out and kite it away don't need to kill the whole pack
Always nice to see you upload, also I like your stream :)
that first one was just in time for me, thanks!
gnomer had a lot of hidden things in it like the hidden 2nd entrance or the 2 engineer pets that dropped on an absurdly low rate from mechanical mobs
Is it truly og WoW without some absurdly low drop rate?
The final fantasy music is a nice touch!
Great video. Got me to go back to classic going to re roll on pve this time
Nice list mate
Watching a WoW related video while listening to FFVII background music in it is treasure!!
ANOTHER AMAZING VIDEO MAD SEASON I LOVE YOU WITH MOUTH
The burnt down inn, at least on the horde side, led all the way to the smith that made the shield.
A Tauren in Thunder Bluff called Mosarn, quest is "The Black Shield". The line seems to end there though.
If anyone knows more please share.
IIRC you open up a couple extra quests in Dustwallow that you can only do after you complete those quests. There's one guy connected to the burnt down inn that you have to escort for a bit who gets assassinated by someone at the end of it, and I think being able to do his quest requires completing all of the stuff at the burnt inn. But yeah, definitely for the Horde you can at least finish the black shield part.
Excellent score
Cant believe i didnt know these! Part 3 please
Interesting, so the Monkey King's quests for the Brewmaster artifact weapon were kind of a play on Grimbooze Thunderbrew's quest, very cool.
That song at 9:00 was form an ice place on FFVII, yeah Dustswallow marsh wasn't complete until TBC also by adding a goblin town south.
Hahhhhhhh! I remember these. Holy smokes....trip down memory lane
i love the subtle music from the older games.
I love the Zelda windwaker music you added
Cortello's Riddle was always one of my favorite obscure ones since the travel was about the only big part. And I think it's kinda funny that the Holy Spring Water for that Westfall quest is something you'll likely stumble upon naturally when you level up a Horde character in STV. I think it's either the Yenniku quest chain or something else in the southern part of the zone that has you killing some of the mobs around the spring.
I think my overall favorite random quest chain (wouldn't call it obscure, but it does feel random) is the 3 different quests to escort a robot chicken in some level 40-50 zones. I think that was in another fun Madseason video on classic stuff.
BTW I totally remember Thottbot being around for the actual beta of WOW (I say actual beta because they invited some people when it was still listed as alpha, like a month before they went into beta status) though it was also kinda in beta compared to Thottbot when the game finally released.
People forget so easily what the internet and comments were like back then. Despite there being only Thottbot and Alakazham, there was a TON of inaccurate information, trolls and pretty much nobody moderated it and no upvote system so you had to read through all the comments and take many with a grain of salt and work out what looked legit, also most of the good players did not share information since why would they? Keeping it private kept that knowledge valuable and kept the best farming spots and exploits to themselves and their guild, people just shared much less back then and most of us were kids or angry teenagers and the internet was just a private place for nerds to joke and play games, now everyone wants their 5 seconds of fame and you got streamers and youtubers making millions from being the first to share knowledge with an entire world connected to the internet with an insatiable appetite for information, completely different world we live in today.
You found the quest as well doing Akris Reeds from the Booty Bay quest hub. All the items were actually connected to level-appropriate zones meant to be found while levelling. The sacks of corn, oat, and rye, are bit silly in their riddle but you'd naturally find them just by having the quest on you while levelling. Honestly the biggest stopper were that people didn't go to westfall in the first place to pick up the quest.
I mouse over everything since Mad started this series :)
Love the Zelda music in the background.
I love your videos m8 allways a joy
I love the Final Fantasy 7 music you snuck in here :D
Do... Do you not know what "snuck" means?
@@godlygamer911 lol ofc I do...do
And all the legend of Zelda windwaker music
@@theophrastusvonhoenheim4022 Yes... it is all completely snuck in... headass
@@Liquidforce4441 And yet you used it incorrectly... ?
Holy balls. I randomly found that chest in the Hinterlands and figured it for a quest I hadn't yet picked up - which I guess is correct, but way more complicated than I had figured.
First time WoW player here. Started as a Gnome Warlock and found the hidden Icebeard quest a few hours before watching this video! Nifty.
Icebeard KO'd the crap out of me, so I just pressed x and waited for someone to stroll by, and finally someone showed up willing to party with me.
5:00 YES I was so confused on this ending. Such a cliff hanger
It was fate, fate i tell you!
Today I found and got the quest Cortello’s Riddle, I was wondering about what was needed and saw you posted this vid, played it in the background listening and was like “hey that’s sounds like what I got, wait....IT IS! :D “
So thank you thank you for this super awesome video! You’re timing is perfect!
That grain quest is the most ridiculous thing I've seen in any game before. I did it (with wowhead of course), and I feel like that was the most absurd treasure hunt they could have thought up...
Unrelated, but I really enjoy your channel!
Couldn't watch because I don't like spoilers, but still gave a thumbs up because if it's from MadSeason, you know it's good!
You are awesome, man!
I did like it. Thank you.
0:48 - I just picked this one up last night!
That booze quest... jesus imagine being one of the first few people trying to complete it. It probably took days of exploring.
I just finished the first ep and i wanted more i think i willed this into existence
Around the questgiver for the yeti is a battered chest spawn. Sometimes on the mountainside.
Rackmore's Treasure in Desolace! it is a quest for around lvl 35 that can net you over 2g pretty easily
I was the only one that found that riddle quest in my group, everyone else was just speeding through. I don't know why but at that point I realized something and I stopped speed running the game and started to enjoy the world.
Wow is the only game I could be full roleplayer because you just feel the world
YES, was wondering why you weren't streaming
Any low level hidden quest that reward a wand?
best channel on this planet
i want more riddles. getting the riddlers mind worm and lucid nightmare was so fun
You're voice along with WoW gameplay just makes me want to play it even more.
I'm happy that MadSeasonShow hasn't shown the hidden Ashbringer questline yet.
classic wow had a bunch of these sorts of treasure chains, didn't know they had one in stranglethorn and one as large as this one.
The windwaker music was the best
Thank you for the 14 slot bag!
the shady inn actually starts in... menethil harbour, I think. you basically get the name of the place and some vague directions to the place when you reach theramore.
So that's where my Thunderbrew's flask came from!
What is that jingle from anyway in the beginning of your videos?
Its from Final Fantasy IX.
forgot about cortello riddle need to go do that old one
Whoooohhooo!! I rather watch this then play the game itself xd
Anyone know what the cd is on Thunderbrew's Boot Flask? Wowhead says its 30 minutes, but in this vid it doesn't show a cd when he mouses over it.
Really interesting. Shame they skipped the concept of hidden quests in the retail version.
Almost everything that made vanilla so good is gone from retail wow, it's just a ghost of it's former self, everything part of the linear questing-grinding-raiding path that every single character and player must take, there is very little unique content anymore. Sure the combat is more interactive, but even that is infinitely more risk free and as a result - boring.
I love that song
When that intro hits.
Now I remember why I'm keeping a stack of different mats,
Thanks
the FF7 and Zelda music though!
That Zelda music though!!!!
there is another quest that requires you to go and get that holy water from the naga camp in Stranglethorn Vale. the quest giver is an Orc Warlock in the gromgol camp.
The video is 12:30 long, which is 45 minutes in Asmon-time.
The average human loses around 25 individual hairs in 1 hour.
At this rate, he will have around 10-12 UA-cam videos left until he is completely bald.
I love Asmon's reviews of this type of video. Best of both worlds!
Smh
Who is Asmon?
@@godlygamer911 I can see why you're angry about someone having any amount of success. Maybe, just maybe, one of your videos will garner a positive ratio one of these days. But I wouldn't hold my breath.
@@jessyup1368 damn that was a sick burn, wp haha
Can’t wait for Asmon to react to this😂
Haha I found The Orc Report today!
For the first time i have to find people to help me something it was Old Icebeard i remember running to the inn next by and yell that i found a boss haha good times
Still my favorite content creator!
It’s super unfortunate how the addon “Questie” makes all these cool secretive quests like “naw it’s right here fam. I got you lol”
I guess I can see why some people choose to have it but I still kinda refuse to get it since I would rather have that more RPG feel and look for quests and talk to all the NPC but that’s just me
I can't speak to any quests mentioned in this video, but Questie misses a lot of off the path quests.
I was pretty much a quest maniac back then. Having all characters at max level and doing all quests I could find. Have to say, I don't think I know about the one behind moonbrook, the one in the cave and gnomergan.
What's the song at the beginning of your videos bro?
I have a question as to if anyone might know, has Blizzard ever hidden any items or quests in clickable items you can sit on, such as benches or chairs? Something so well overlooked in the game that there might be that one chair in the game that is used by npcs as drop spots such as you see in movies. Click the right chair ingame and stumble across a sealed envelope of a plot against the king or chief you must give to SI-7. I know there are quests like this, but how about anything implemented in this manor?
