The scene where Eazy found out that he had aids in the hospital had me on the verge of tears in the theater. Somebody who isnt the trained in emoting like that wouldn't have made that scene that powerful. Lil Eazy not getting that part was the right choice

Jason did an absolutely remarkable job as Eazy-E, brilliant performance.
They should make an Eazy-E movie with a big budget where Jason should play Eazy again and lil eazy to be involved heavily in the production of the movie. Eazy deserves it.

I remember cube saying something like lil Eazy is too much of a real street dude to make himself vulnerable (scenes like where he’s crying in the movie). That was a pretty respectful way to turn him down from the role.

TBH Jason Mitchell and Lil Eazy favor. As an experienced actor he studies people. I think everyone as a whole wanted to see Lil Eazy play his dad. I don't think he would of fit the role because his acting would of been a biased perspective of his father. Oshea Jr had an immense amount of training and resources to train him to separate the two. He also had his father physically present to give him perspective on what he was going through in that era. Lil Eazy can still make acting his calling in the future
