I'm surprised that First 48 has never filmed murder cases in LA
Because the production would go bankrupt trying to keep up with the filming.
The cities have to sign up for it, Memphis stopped doing it for a reason because it actually increased the murder rate. Idk if you remember the black female detective from first 48, she even came out and said it ruined a lot of unsolved cases. There’s a show called LivePD, and that show got banned from Maryland because it effected a lot of unsolved crimes.

I thought the main character was a hairdresser from how he looked in the trailers lol. But right out of the gate from the beginning of the film he gained my respect. I definitely say I was wrong about this one and it's worth the watch 👍🏽

Im from Philly. I was heading out to LA for a week while they were filming. Did mad research and found one of the locations in Compton. Went there with my Raiders hat on (that i bought on purpose) hoping i be seen and get a small role. Didnt happen but was cool seeing the set from a distance.
Now i had been all around Compton, South Central, Watts and all over LA a few times before so i knew where and how to move around. Rule #1. No blue or red clothing. #2 act normal like u from there. Not like a damn tourist

I’m from LA born and raised, I left 15 years ago because the city is shit and I’m glad I left. I visit family every couple of years or so but it gets shittier and shittier, you need to get out of the hood and explore. There are far worst cities in the country alone, try to get a passport and travel abroad. There’s more to life then some stupid cholos and gang bangers fighting over a neighborhood they have no control over.

Ngl i went to LA for my Birthday for the past 3 years straight. I hopped out & took a pic on piru street. I hopped out n bought edibles & smoke from the Krips on crenshaw & slauson. I went to the liquor store in compton at night time then Went to Wilmington & Brazil (The Game’s block) & spruce street (Slim 400/YG block) & both them area’s were a fucking ghost town. I was actually shocked that them areas were nothing like the movies…
Same. I went to Grove St (Cocoa St) a few months ago when I went to visit, and it was very small and seemed kinda ordinary.
