The Mini JRXT was actually leaked when a magazine ad was accidentally published over a month in advance leaving the internet to go crazy with rumors. Some said it was photoshopped, but one thing was certain, a lot of people were looking forward to its potential release. The time is here, and Greg will run you through this iconic RC racing truck just scaled down to 1/16 scale. Yeah I said that about the JRX2 and they gave me some wack vintage market excuse. I mean the RC10 had a rerelease but whatever.

@@anonymous_message that's not how the market works like the when the rc10 brought back out re-release of the original car those are now going for the same price as the originals so it's a lie to say that the guys who have the originals are not losing any money.
My issue with all the R/C manufactures besides Traxxas is once they discontinue the model it eventually becomes impossible to get parts for it because once they run out of stock they don't make those parts anymore. But yet you can still get new parts for a 15 year old Traxxas model. Especially with Losi and other brands under the Horizon Hobby umbrella.
Losi has made it clear despite this being limited edition that all parts are available for purchase and you can build your own off the JR2

Bodies too….bodies are extremely hard to find and obscenely expensive for vintage RC’s.
If you have a vintage RC your at the mercy of eBay sellers price gouging you.
I just got mine Monday afternoon when I got out of work looks great and my first Team LOSi RC ever.
They both look so awesome. A lot of great memories. Team associated needs to do the same thing. I think that they would sell like hotcakes.
Totally agree, my first kit was a RC10T3. It magically vanished from my parents attic when I went looking for years after I moved out.

I wondered when they’d finally do this since the buggy and truck were related back in the day. It will look great with my mint condition vintage LX-T build and my mini JRX2. I wish I still had my JRX-PRO SE but these hit all of the nostalgia feels! 🤙🏼🏁 Thanks Greg. 💯
I raced pretty much every TL car when I was young, so bummed I don't have them anymore except for my original JRX2. These mini's although smaller in scale still help bring back those great memories.
I still have my original one 1/10. From 1989-1990 . It's not running anymore but after watching this video I might have to get it running again. Great video.

I don’t get why soooo many people are upset that it’s 1/16 scale? I get that the smaller RCs are not as “popular” but it’s not as much for the actual race market it’s for the collectors and nostalgia purposes. As well as not wanting to completely killing the the vintage market

Actually pity they made it a limited release - it would be a great first RC for a small child. Our 5 year old little girls likes to drive my Mini JRX2 and the speed is just right for her.The suspension looks a little jumpy and may need a bit of tuning.
What a shame its a collectible! I want to buy one to drive it and enjoy it. People buying to keep new in box means less will be available for budget-oriented punters and possibly a more limited after-market for option parts. Boo! That's the only negative I have on this one; it looks like a beaut little rig and I'm going to try to get my driving hands on one of these things prompt like! Thanks for the video :)
I agree. But unless you have numbers 1-10 or #5000 all the numbers in the middle are not worth anything. I'm going to enjoy mine and not worry about the connectability.
How would this compare speed wise to the mini b brushed?

I briefly had a Traxxas Hawk in the early 90s, similar era as this, the first dawn of what was to become Stadium Truck racers. :)

in the early 90s i was on the fence between the JRXT or a RC10T. wound up with the Associated but i always liked the Losi.
I was a huge Team Losi fan back then. It was pretty awesome to drive this. But it made me sad I sold my original JRXT. 😣
I bought my friends RC10t that he used to whoop me with at the track back in the early 90's. Still have it
I really wish associated would re release the rc10t but 10th scale. That and the jrx2 was my first hobby grade race vehicles. Sad that horizon made the losi the tiny 16th scale
I was one of those that converted my JRX2 back in the day to the Truck. It is basically my favorite rig of all time. I can't wait to see how fast these go to the scalpers. Losi, why limited? Makes no damn sense. FOMO sucks.
Best time to be in RC! JRXTs, Ultima and RC10 conversions with crazy aftermarket transmissions and suspension kits, Schumacher Shotguns, Traxxas Eagles and Blue Eagles, *BLACKFOOTS* decked out TO THE MAX that could actually hold their own.... it was the wild wild west and you were rewarded for your ingenuity. More importantly, WE RACED ON DIRT, just ROOSTIN out of the turns, the way the Good Lord intended. Then, the RC10T came out.......and it was WAR in '91! ....*L*.....*X*.....*T* , BABY!!!!
Bring back loamy dirt tracks and big spike tires!

Does this model have a training mode like Traxxas offers? I'd like to get one for my little boy but slower would be ideal for him.
The og junior xt is 1st losi i saw in person...so i had to one up my buddy and buy the xxt. I still have it. Sold body sadly, bc i had a cooler hot bodiez shell on it. This junior could outrun mine if geared right. I even the the Kinwald dirtinator motor too. Tbh this looks nicer than original.

my very first hobby grade rc was the jrx2. instead of going on our grade 8 field trip i convinced my mom to put the money towards a used jrx2 it had a after market fiberglass frame with a pink coating that was a lot thicker and harder than paint almost like powder coating. if any of you know what that material is please let me know.

The SX107 is already metal gear and they've just replaced it with the SX108. What is the SX117? I don't see it on the HH website
It's in the JRXT Manual under options: SPMSSX117 It's listed as Metal Gear/Ca. The case is metal, I goofed up by not mentioning both.

I have #1001 and it worked for 1 minute. On carpet, no impacts at all, left side outer axle snapped one of the ears off. Losi has become low quality junk. I had similar low quality experiences with my sbr 2.0's.

My first truck was a Losi XXX-NT. I almost converted it to the team kit. I wish I’d kept it.
So 5,000 minus all the cars they have sent to all the UA-cam channels, and any other promotional zone just like the four cars in the promo video...
If as it seems Losi wants people after the 5,000 are gone to buy a Mini JRX2 then buy all the parts to create a mini JRXT...... Losi should have made it 10,000 instead of 5,000...

It absolutely should have been 10th scale. Pretty negligent given the huge revival in vintage these days. Not wanting to upset collectors I hear you say, well im pretty sure they would love some freshly moulded arms/bulkheads/towers for their runners... Kyosho, Tamiya and Schumacher are well head of you TLR, you are sleeping on this.

Not a mini but another rare r/c is the Nitro Thunder King stadium truck with less than 1500 elc conversion kits made,
these kits first came out in the early 90's as electric and later offered as a limited production Nitro Kit.
All elc kits could be upgraded with the better nitro kit parts.
Smart move on losi's part, an obvious cash grab.
