My friend made custom tires for his track car, he 3D printed segmented tire molds, that are fit on the existing rims and injected them with silicone caulk. It gives a lot of grip on smooth concrete, but tires are very soft and rip quickly, they may last longer if the caulk will be mixed with some sort of fibers.
@@peterzingler6221 In that scale steel can be difficult to manage and find for exact needs. Maybe the solution can be a middle way from 3d printed wheel inside skeleton (with right material in elasticity and stiffness) and a molding techniques. A gyroid (CURA infill style) elastic filament structure can solve many many problems in final weight, functional stiffness, and rubber covering, in mold.
The real problem is material. Plastic on hard surfaces will wear quickly. Having store bought plastic tires on a drift car, the asphalt where I lived would eat up the tires in about 10 runs of 30-45 min run times. Your best bet for longevity, is abs. However, abs can be quite stiff if printed with too many layers. But too thin of layers will wear out quickly.. hmm. The bleeder screws on the calipers should always face up because you are bleeding the air out of the fluid. Love the fiberglass disks. This thing is awsome!
Something I think that might work for the tires, is reduce the rim size (if clearances of anything permits), then make a tire with a taller wall and a comb-like structure on the interior to give them some some squish so the wheel can bite down better. Another idea, you could also try deeper treads, more blocky treads
Tires get better traction with no groves or tread. The tread is there since driving conditions aren’t always perfect. Like for example, while you grip better with no tread while it’s dry out, should you hit a puddle without the tread your risk of hydroplaning is very very high. Or off-road vehicles with the super aggressive tread for mud and what not

Love the vids, 1 query I do have is if the bleed nipples for the callipers are at the bottom when bled, will the air not just stay at the top? Maybe turn the car upside down to bleed.
I’m halfway through the video and you’re bleeding the brakes right now. I hope you noticed that the calipers are either upside down, or you’re going to have to swap the fluid inlet and the bleeder valve locations on all of the calipers. The bleeder valve needs to be the highest point on the caliper to allow air to be bled.
Well all car manufacturers must have it wrong then 🤣 they are all fitted at the top 🤣 even worked on cars with brake issues because people fitted wheel cylinders upside-down (bleed valve down) easy fix, flip and bleed 🤣👍
Every single caliper is installed upside down. The bleeder has to be at the to of the caliper to get the air out so they all need switched let for right to work properly.
Lol.......I actually found that out the hard way on my first hot rod build. I accidentally put the rear calipers on backwards so the bleeder screws were on the bottom instead of the top where the air could be bled out. It took a very frustrating few days to see it. The engine l built lit the first time out and ran perfectly. Go figure huh?
@@kyzor-sosay6087 Because air always always pools at the top. So no matter how many attempts you make to bleed the brakes, there will always be a pocket of air trapped in the top of the caliper. Air is bad because it can be compressed, so instead of the hydraulic pressure pushing on the brake pads, it compresses the air. But to be fair, many motorcycles have the rear caliper with the bleeder on the bottom, but you have to remove the caliper and put it upside down to bleed it correctly (with a spacer between the pads obviously.) But in reality, I don't think a bit of air in the system on an RC car would be that much of an issue. If anything, it probably adds some buffering in the control which could be helpful.
@@kyzor-sosay6087 Because air is lighter than oil so when you are trying to get all of the air out of the system the bleeder has to be at the highest point on the caliper. This is where all the little bubbles will collect and have a place to exit. Having the bleeder at the bottom makes it impossible to get all of the air out and the laws of physics don't change just because someone thinks they know better. Hope this helps.
Yeah. It's a common installation issue on full size cars when the calipers are replaced. People get the sides mixed up and the bleeders end up on the bottom. Air bubbles rise so the bleeder always needs to be on top. It's possible the hydraulic pressure is much lower here so maybe it isn't as important, but I'd still want to get the air out.

Another thing, you could bleed them backwards, where you push fluid into the bleeder and let the air out at the master... If design allows.
I'm surprised you were able to get all the air out of the braking system with the bleeder pointed down that's usually a major issue
This build is phenomenal! I never knew there was such thing as a 1/6 4
Stroke engine with working radiator and disks !!!!!! Btw great intuition with the earphone covers.. 👍🏽
The world needs to see this. This will inspire so much creativity within the world. This is what we've been looking for. This is what the world needs to bring the future (a.k.a our youth) back to a higher mental state and lead the world to a better ascension.
This is phenomenal good engineering
An RC car with an Idle….never thought of it, THIS IS AMAZING!!!!
The exhaust seems very close to the electronucs box. Awesome build.
Are you kidding me? Even the tires and rims made? Excellent job!👌🏻
This video is absolutely ridiculous!!!! The craftsmanship pure genius
This level of hobbying is sincerely impressive. Breaking wheels because of axle to work, it’s just something that needs to happen from time to time.🤣😎👏🏽😎 It’s like a little tiny Ferrari engine in an RC car. Can’t lose!! Awesome. Top work
I absolutely LOVE the fact that you used the C8 body!
Bro are you serious??? The way you built this car is AMAZING😲😲😲👍👍👍💯💯💯
the fact that you 3d printed your hubs and wheels keeps me coming back every month to watch this lol
Definition of true talent: Every God dam thing this man does on this channel, holy shit…
This is insanely fun to watch and so impressive that I dont think my jaw will close again for a week or two, and then I have not even mentioned the "want-to-have" factor!
What a cool project this has become! Surprisingly, that 4 cyl. sounds a LOT like the new Z06 with the flat plane crank!! Go figure!😂 👍
This amazing RC car is the best amongst the rest iin the world
I love everything about this video! RC, 3d printing, milling and no talking!
This might be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I might cry.
Are you the RamyRC of cars? Some people are good but you are in another dimension.
That little 4-banger’s exhaust sound actually matches the C8 Corvette look
That Four sounds like a multicylinder engine! Great sound, great work!
Awesome build! You are a true craftsman.
I don't know why I was expecting all wheel drive with this build.
Dual radiator setup is a natural fit. The sign of genius….
RC car knowledge has definitely improved since my childhood nitro cars. A functional i4 in a rc is awsome.
Every one of these builds get better. Now you need a small diesel high torque rock crawler.
I think your Body work is beautiful, and that car is a Maker Master Class. That road though... That's like driving a real Vette through a rock quarry. I hope you can find a proper RC car track that's smooth enough to really lay down some laps, that car is awesome.
Considering the extent you went to with this build, I'm a little surprised that you didn't make functional headlights and tail lights hahaha!
