Yeah I agree although I play games on PC. I emulate Switch for the few Nintendo games that interest me like Mario/Zelda/Fire Emblem and I had a PS4 for Bloodborne and a couple other games, but I mainly just play stuff on my PC. I have terrible expectations for anything Bethesda puts out in today's age, so I took a good long look around at reviews and gameplay before deciding if I wanted to pick up Starfield. It seems to be terribly optimized and you need a ridiculous PC to get it to run properly, so that's a major turn off, and it just reminds me of Fallout 4 with a generic space skin slapped on top of it and a spaceship building mechanic that becomes pointless because you don't fly anywhere. Anyways, I'm not going to buy it. It looks incredibly mediocre for a "next gen" game that's 70-80$. I'd maybe check it out if it was on sale, but it definitely looks underwhelming for 7 years of development and such a massive budget. 🤷♂

This is a bunch of boring locations separated by loading screens and terrible maps. Open areas are lifeless. All the characters have the same gee golly mannerisms and are extremely boring. Story and quests are boring. This is a garbage version of Mass Effect. Just play Mass Effect instead. I loved that game. This is flat, lifeless, and creatively bankrupt. I will cancel Gamepass as soon as my kids get bored of the games they are playing. Really worried about the future of Fallout and Elder Scrolls games.
This is a generic game that is not ground breaking in anyway, nor is it terrible in anyway. People who are phrasing this game are basically saying that it doesn't crash and runs fine... While thinking that copy and pasted enemies and wildlife are okay. Saying that after you explore a dozen planets, the rest blend in and are generic and not new to experience are okay.

So all excuses that this being a Bethesda game is dumb and lazy. This game should have been epic. As consumers who are spending $70-100 on these games we should demand the best. Maybe you are ok wasting your valuable time and money on less than mediocre trash, and that is fine, but not me.
I agreed with you until you threw in an unneeded insult. Why tf would you do that? Now I just take your opinion as disingenuous.
@@pokemonfan2630 Honestly that is not a good response at all. It didn't take me long to start having fun in FO3, FO4, and Skyrim. I think in the whole "It gets better after 7,000 hours" mentality is bad for gaming
Target Lock
Awesome
First dlc should be golden space-rover :D
for $11.99
so you can see nothing and hit the invisible walls?
Guys who request a vehicle, you can run so work out !
This is a very divisive game
This game has to many flaws and AI is dumb.
Everybody, let's go into the Loadfield!
No rover wtf Bethesda the planets are huge
Joe, play like 12 hours of Skyrim off stream before you review this. You’ll see that Bethesda has been putting absolutely no effort in their new titles. “They’ll buy anything.” - Todd Howard
they release the same game with different assets
With the hype and potential this game had I thought maybe this would be a system seller. But as a PlayStation guy I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. Yes I know watching and playing are two different things but I'm just not impressed,
Yeah I agree although I play games on PC. 🤷♂
I played this game for 5 hours and after that I had to force myself to play. Game is kind mid
soo.. it seems very limiting.. you seem to be locked to be a good guy...
No your not? Lmao you can even join the crimson fleet or become an ecliptic. You can also go and join an evil corp. so idk
can you join and corp and betray them? or be mean to people you just met? .. it felt like there are tagged characters to which you can "be bad" and all your interactions are like that.. just like some are tagged "to be good" and you only get "good" options for them@@EGsth7
I’m no.

Starfield is the epitome of mid, just plain mid
@@Dedhaven this. i hate that those people are usually the one's the company hails when referring to "positive" reviews. ignoring the fact that they released an unfinished, boring walking/loading screen simulator.

It's sad that a 7 year old game does space exploration magnitudes better
which one mass effect? no mans sky or star citizen?
they cant code vehicles into the game due to engine restrictions. it's outdated and not designed to have fast moving vehicles.

WOW, Starfield making FF16 LOOK GOOD !!!
i take the 15-20 min space fight of Ifrit vs bahamut in FF16 over 100 hours of boring space in Starfield...
Wrong answer
shut up bozo
I mean Final Fantasy 16 looked gorgeous also
yah.. check the minecraft trees in new atlantis (i think that is the name) .. tbh i think Doom 2016 .. from 7 years ago.. looks almost better?. mm it actually reminds me of Fallout 4 graphics... which was released in 2015.. so are they using the same engine? it would explain why Doom 2016 looks better..)
The final space battle in legacy’s end was so much fun 😉
You can steal the ship Joe you just have to have a skill in piloting and the skill requirement is different based on the class of ship it is
the companions suck, the traits are shotty, the skills are not enticing enough to want to grind , the side missions and lore via books are cool but exploration is mid
This game has no soul. you just do a lot...of stuff.
How many hours have you played it?
everyone is from fking wakanda, it makes me sick
This game is so fucking boring, there is no way I gonna play this thing.
The game feels / looks great but because has a lot of potential by a making it a mmo like defiance 2050 where you can meet except the a i pirates in the space the other players as well and either collaborate either collide. This can take place in every planet as well. When by Alannah 's experiment you can travel 7 hours in the space this means if Microsoft/ Bathesda 's servers hold we can see and experience in the near future a great game.
Looks like many have already forgotten all the promises made. You should re watch Starfield direct and compare it to what we got.
Todd Howard:
"...what if we could take that feeling of being who you want to be .... where you weren't limited in where you could go or what you could do and that is Starfield"
"...but it's still a Bethesda RPG through and through..."
Me:
"Nah it's not, it's an overrated garbage with promises made and never kept"
I mean you can go wherever(almost) and can be whatever. There’s like a quest line for everyone in this game

Not looking ok and not presentable. They should have changed the engine in the first place.
Watching Joe play this game made me appreciate mass effect andromeda even more! This looks boring! It’s boring to watch. Everybody looks like their faces are tired lmao (and paranoid lol). Makes me wonder what Joes rating will be since he admits to being a Bethesda fanboy
No less than 7.
@@Bonkikavo 7 seems fair. There’s a lot to do.
@@MrBaez187 Quantity over quality?
@@Bonkikavo Not for me, I work too much to spend 20 hours playing a game before it gets good but being that Joe is a game reviewer, if the content is mid but there’s a lot of it, I could see a seven out of ten from him!
@@MrBaez187 True that. Since there is no unanimous decision the game is disappointment, he will most porbably go middle of the road, easy 7/10.
what a boring game
No good map in game; need to press too many fk things to do something in here...looks like very slow play mode just like in Fallout :( Main story is short 5/10 maybe 6/10 with some updates.
God this game is boring
The shipbuilding is actually limited by the Nasapunk design. I tried making a more vertical exotic design and couldn't get it to look good. Granted I haven't found every ship piece but still disappointing.
I'm glad I did not buy this game. There's a part of me that liked Fallout 3/4/NV that wants to play Starfield, but I'm going to wait for a sale and some optimization patches if I even touch it at all.
4 28 min I did that one hard going to getting better after 10 hours
At 30 hours just got one of 8 Super powers
LS= light seconds
I am a huge fan of Bethesda games, but this game is terrible. The exploration, discovery, and sense of wonder is non-existent. Deleted the game after eleven hours. Strange since I have had multiple playthroughs of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. Really disappointed. I will cancel Gamepass as soon as my kids get bored of the games they are playing. Really worried about the future of Fallout and Elder Scrolls games.
game seems slow AF
After playing Baldurs Gate 3 for over 100 hours, this game just feels... mediocre at best...
This is a generic game that is not ground breaking in anyway, nor is it terrible in anyway. People who are phrasing this game are basically saying that it doesn't crash and runs fine... While thinking that copy and pasted enemies and wildlife are okay. Saying that after you explore a dozen planets, the rest blend in and are generic and not new to experience are okay.
this game is a waste of time.

the NPC movement are weired and they charging $70 and it's only 30fps.
This is a game that I know will be more fleshed out with mods and dlc months from now.
It's a 10/10 down the road; and a cheaper one at that.
so you saying is not complete?
A game that requires mods to include features that should be at launch and/or acknowledged by the dev as needing a rework will never be a 10/10
