I had to subscribe to your channel, because my first Leica M was the M8. Great Video. Keep on rolling and enjoy life!
Glad you liked it Paul thanks for the encouragement. 🙏 the M8.2 has served me well. What M did you use after the m8? Thanks for the subscribe. I’ve another video for next weekend. Solo hike here with my camera.
@@colinosullivan I bought the M8 for € 1,600, used for half a year and then a collector offered me € 2,000 for it and off she went. Next step was a M240, which a got cheap and resold with a good profit. I picked up a brand new M-P240 which some was forgotten on a shelf at Leica dealership. Half the retail price. Super camera, can recommand it highly. I've a M240 and a Q too, no, not the Q2. Lens combo includes the brilliant but often overseen Elmar-M 3.8/24, the must have Summilux 1.4/50 and the nice to have Summarit 2.5/90. Before going digital, I had Leica R SLR cameras. The lenses can be used on the M240. My favourite focal length is the 50 mm. For the M8 I had a 28 mm Zeiss. You'll find me on Flickr.
@@paulsehstedt6275 those lenses would be great to try. I’m using the zeiss 28 and the 50 planar. I’d love to try the 21mm super elmar! May happen soon. Enjoy mate and thanks for the subscribe 👍
You can see these mountains from Kinsale heading towards Garrettstown.
Oh really? I’ve never really looked back from kinsale actually. Funny as was there last weekend. Thanks for tuning in mate.
Great images, looking forward to the next video
Thanks Ulf. Glad you enjoyed it. I really enjoyed making this one as I love the area up here!

Colin I loved this episode. You have some nice images in there. Great time lapse too. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for checking back Kirk. I enjoyed making this one! Snow forecast for the same areas so I might go a little higher and get a snow video next week. What do you think buddy?
Great episode, Colin! It's always very humbling to see nature taking back what was once hers once left to its own devices.
Cheers mate. Plenty of that going on in up there. Will be interesting t up there with some snowfall.
Excellent photography. Thank you.
Thank you 🙏 glad you enjoyed them.
Aloha Colin! Stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and have been trying to watch both past and newly introduced videos as I enjoy the production, content, images, etc .... all very well done. Keep up the great work in producing content. Mahalo from Kauai, Hawaii. Thomas
Aloha my friend. I love your place btw! My time surfing in Hawai'i will forever be in my mind! Heaven. Glad you like the content. I really enjoy producing them and that is a lot of the fun here so it doesn't feel like effort if I'm honest! I hope you subscribe and pop back. That's super cool having a Hawaiian here. I never got to Kauai but when I do maybe a photo walk?
@@colinosullivan Aloha Colin! Did you live in Hawaii at one time? For sure I did subscribe and glad to hear that you enjoy producing content as I enjoy watching the videos. Would love to own an older Leica digital rangefinder one day as I owned many Leica film cameras in the past. My only issue is seeing the outside framelines because of my use of glasses. Even bought a Leica M6 TTL with the 0.58 viewfinder just so I could see the 35mm framelines! No problem on meeting you for a photo walk. I do that just about every morning. Mahalo, Thomas
Hi Colin, amazing videos! I miss Ireland so much... I've worked in Cork for a month and I love it. One question... that 10 Mpx sensor... how good is for printing and cropping? Hope you are well
Thanks mate. Editing the next video this morning. I think a safe bet on all papers is 13 x 19 inch which I do a lot myself but I have made prints for exhibitions of 50mc X 75cm (20"X30") and they looked great. My friend Paul C Smith did a great video on printing from the M8 here, ua-cam.com/video/5PMsDr3Y4Qw/v-deo.html and also Todd Korol's video is wonderful discussing papers and the important of print ua-cam.com/video/5Dbx5tB7F6E/v-deo.html. Go check both of these out mate. Check back tomorrow for this video. ;)
@@colinosullivan thank you so much! Hope you are well
@@ondrat9790 No worries. Both of those guys channels are superb, so definitely check them out. @toddkorolphoto and @PaulCSmithPhotographer. Very good, going to shoot some hp5 film in my Leica iiif to unwind after a busy week. Cheers
