To emerse myself in someone else and to wake a heart long afraid to feel. My wish was granted and if having that is tragic, then give me tragedy. Cause I wouldn't give it back for the world.

Me too. These little voiceovers were so significant to me as a teen. It's good to know people still visit OTH videos.

This quote always stayed with me. It fits perfectly with the way I feel right now. Me and my (ex)boyfiend just broke up two months ago and somtimes it hurts so much, the pain and the confusion, like nathan said, are sometimes too much too handle and then i just have to remember that it will get better and I have to keep going. I deserve beter and need to keep in mind that out there is something better for me, eventhough I am so afraid that i will never find someone who will love me again..

This episode is amazing. I caught just this part the other day and it was so encouraging. I just lost my best friend in a car accident and this reminded me that I shouldn't give up with tragedies happen.

Oscar Wilde said something suspicious similar a few years before George Bernard Shaw if i'm not mistaken. "There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it."
IMAO Lucas' quotes are the best...I think he understood better the meaning of Shaw's quote and he explained it better than the others ^^

I watch one tree hill clips all the time for inspiration and just because I love it but its nice to have it in 2020 more than anything.
@TheMikeyReilly The main reason that I watch one tree hill is because the quotes and dialogue are catered to an intellectual audience. I both watch OTH and read a lot of the authors that are mentioned.
it really is amazing. i've never read Shaw's plays, but I know who he is. and i'm pretty sure a lot of people do.

I just imagine their English teacher reading all these poorly structured essays with absolutely no context that make no sense at all and is just pulling his hair out like "why do I even waste my time with these kids"

I loved this qhole montage. I love Hear You Me. and I love Shaw's quote even more. This montage kind of brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it. It's because everything is sooo true... It's hard to love someone because everyone leaves you at some point in your life. But you have to fight. Getting your heart broken isn't really a tragedy because if I had to chose to love and lose or to never have loved at all, Id wish for love and loss because all you need is love.

lol i dont mind im glad you noticed it otherwise it would have still been there. Ive posted all the quotes there are form OTH and if i make a mistake there are at least 3 other quotes that dont have a mistake and are perfect as they are :D

@peacelovedasha thats impossible unless you get the hard copy from the directors that add the quote/voice-over into the music. Thats the only copy that has the quotes and music seperated :( too bad I'd like to get my hands on those too :D

I hadn’t heard of him. Rewatched the seasons again. I looked up all the authors including playwright George Bernard Shaw.
Bought a Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson books in Summer 2016.
