GBH were one of my favorite 80's bands. They were always great live with the exception of one show I saw. It turns out the drummer was strung out on heroin and the band dumped him soon afterwards. Thanks for watching.

Great picks as usual. Good call on the Disorder EP. The Stranglers first album doesn't get enough love. Where the Ramones first 3 albums might've made me wanna play the bass, the Stranglers first 3 albums pushed me to actually learn how to play the bass. I know you said you don't have any Discharge Lps which is a shame cause Hear Nothing Say Nothing belongs on the list for sure.

Aloha Vinyl Richie, thank you for sharing your top 10 UK Punk record albums. Watching your video brought back memories of punk record albums that I had in the late 1970s, I enjoyed the Buzzcocks, The Damned, Dead Kennedys, The Clash, the stranglers, and definitely the Sex Pistols. Thank you again for a great video, Aloha

@@vinylrichie007 ok. your channel = your choices ;-)
I see we have different preferences for punk music.
I am looking forward you present top 10 from Polish punk ;-) in case you have something in your collection. The time when punk was very popular was not so welcomed in Poland by communist government. So there almost no records or official recording (like LP). But one band maybe you know. here one recording:
      ua-cam.com/video/DhHJyLpVgow/v-deo.html
and here what was released outside Poland ( LP "Underground out of Poland"). One song here: ua-cam.com/video/Xyx03rxjROM/v-deo.html
The name of the band: Dezeter. The album was released in US (www.discogs.com/Dezerter-Underground-Out-Of-Poland/release/1750543 ), that's why for you might be easier to buy.
Second famous band was : Siekiera : ua-cam.com/video/zq6d92oFMRg/v-deo.html
(so there will be repress for this: www.discogs.com/Siekiera-Jarocin-84/master/1886106 ).
For me the third will be Defekt Mózgu - here with old vocalist: ua-cam.com/video/lZFJNeEyUto/v-deo.html
But maybe one of the oldest punk bands in Poland is KSU : ua-cam.com/video/OWACmjCMc0M/v-deo.html
(they issues LP after few years. here full album: ua-cam.com/video/t-l3HvSUlDw/v-deo.html)
To summarize the best 5 I can add Moskwa : ua-cam.com/video/ZqToSeAzOxU/v-deo.html
I do not know much about US punk, but from my observation all bands I heard have different style than the one I prefer. I like a lot British and French bands (also Oi/Rac style).

My original punk collection was mainly the hardcore stuff from the UK in the early 80s, I was slightly too young for the original punks from the late 70s, although i did back track to that stuff later on. My faves from my original collectio would be more the anarcho-punk bands like Subhumans, Crass and Flux Of Pink Indians. I also did have that Rudimentry Peni "Death Church" album. Well, you got 3 of my top 10 on your list--Clash, Sex Pistols and GBH. Cockney Rejects is also in my top 10, but it's Vol 1 which, although it misses Oi Oi Oi, is an overall stronger album. Two that should DEFINITELY be in the top 10 are The Ruts The Crack and Leatherface Mush. The later is the best punk band of the last 30 years period and the Ruts leave 95% of punk bands spinning in the dust. Hear No Evil etc is certainly a stronger LP than Why.... BTW, Joy Division a punk band?? Yes, their very earliest stuff has a few punky songs, but their two classic albums are def not punk. Thanks for the post....Good job, mate.

Sex Pistols, Joy Division and Clash obviously. Stranglers borderline and the rest of your picks are very marginal punk or even more like Skin Head music. Where are The Damned, Siousxsie and the Banshees, The Jam, The Undertones, Stiff Little Fingers, The Vibrators and of course X-Ray Spex, who you confess to not liking. I was lucky enough to get to see all these bands in Europe in the late 70`ties, and of course you have a different view on these as an american, but I must disagree with many of your choices and especially that you don`t get the greatness of X-Ray Spex and the wonderful voice of the late and very missed Polly Styrene.
Greetings from an old punk from Denmark.

Most of the bands you mentioned I like. Of them all The Stranglers debut probably should have made the list. Same for The Ramones. Siousxsie and the Banshees are right on the border for me. I listened to The Crewd last night. An obscure band from Long Beach that played around Southern California. I was questioning if they should have been my number 20 considering how many great albums were left off. My conclusion they should have been higher. Fantastic stuff. It all comes down to individual taste but I don’t think any of the picks I made a marginal Punk.
