Because that’s what they were asked to speak about? Jesus. Why tf did you come here to comment anyway? What a truly mindless braindead empty-headed vacuum-brained fact-free arrogant certified critical NON-thinker.
Ethnically Jewish without any religious aspects, shouldn’t represent Jewish dating. They’re just talking about secular dating life, which is fine, but you’ll notice it has nothing substantially Jewish about it. It bares no resemblance to dating purposeful Jewish dating-which is what makes it stand out from secular dating. They are completely different entities and paths.
Ok so I am so into this jewish woman that I work with. She Is so awesome, she is so open, but I want to respect her values. Please help in the comments.
Hey! I've been with a Jewish girl for a little while and here are a few tips :) -Show interest in her and her faith. Look up what time of year Hanukkah is and ask her what she's doing, and what the holiday means for her. That's awesome that she's open and a good sign that she'll want to share her culture with you! -Tell her about your family. In my experience Jewish girls hold lots of value on family and showing her that you care about family will likely be a green flag for her. Hope this helps!
These women are representative of secular left-wing New York City Jewish women. Probably upper-middle-class parents, and belonging to a non-Orthodox congregation if religiously affiliated at all. None of these women is likely to have Jewish grandchildren! Other Jewish cultures are very different. I hold more traditional values and want my grandchildren to be Jewish, so even though I was raised with people like this I intend to find a wife elsewhere. Outside of the major urban centers, in rural areas of the US where Jews are spread thin, or in Israel, attitudes of Jewish women are very different. In fact, I would say that the progressive attitudes of the Jewish women in this video are highly innovative modern attitudes new to their generational culture that it's almost certain their grandparents didn't posess. Even just their parents likely have radically different notions about Jewishness, if they're not politically involved enough to care about keeping up with changing progressive social mores. People like this tend to care about politics and activism more than religion and preserving their ethnic culture. To them, Judaism is the cult of "tikkun olam" and an affiliate of the Democratic Party. Their values come from their media and educational environment, not from family tradition or study of Jewish tradition. I think it's objectively fair to say that they're assimilating themselves out of existence as Jews. Their most Jewish behavior is the food they eat, because ethnic tastes and culinary traditions are resistant to change. It's the primary way many secular Jews engage with their Judaism. I have tried to be descriptive rather than judgemental in this comment. I don't wish to be perceived as rude or hostile, and it's not my intention to insult these women. My description of what I see is not meant to be pejorative. I'm offering my informed perspective to those here to learn, and I have tried to refrain from making value judgements about whether the attitudes of these women are right or wrong. I don't feel that it's appropriate to volunteer criticism in this comment section. If you were to ask me, I'd be highly opinionated. But I'm glad that these women are apparently living their lives as they choose to. Good for them, I suppose.
“Good for them I suppose”? You are the pinnacle of non-judgmental-ness. Why do you do that, out of curiosity? Spend 4 paragraphs putting words in these women’s mouths, judging them utterly while knowing absolutely less than nothing about their background, family or political ideology, then try and gaslight the reader into thinking that THEY are the judgmental one because you “don’t mean to be rude or overly hostile or insult these women”, then ice your snarky little cake with a final sentence like, “Good for them…….I SUPPOSE.”….? Why? Why do you do that? They’re just speaking and being who they are. You can’t possibly know where these women are from. I suspect they are NOT from New York (where I was born and raised and where I currently reside), because these conversations are not typical among New York Jews. Unless their families are orthodox, the average family doesn’t pressure their children to marry a Jewish husband. That seems much MORE like a feature of small town or rural area Jews, who being the only standard bearers around might feel compelled to uphold the tradition. Your logic is also on pretty shaky ground- why would attitudes be similar in rural America where Jews are few and far between, AND in Israel- where 80% of the people are Jewish? That logic isn’t obvious at all.
If the family is not traditional probably nothing. My mom is Jewish and my dad is Norwegian. Technically if he has kids with a Jewish woman they will also be Jewish according to custom.
joe dirt Judaism is basically a religion based on an ethnic group, but it does have converts from other ethnicities. The people you talk about are probably genetically speaking, Ashkenazi Jews. Meaning they are a select group of people that trace back to Germany. But they just don’t follow the religious practices. Ashkenazi Jews are European Jews, so they do look a bit lighter than some in the Middle East who are sometimes Shepherdi Jews, which basically means brown middle eastern people that follow Judaism. There are also Russian Jews and Greek Jews, who are distinct ethnic groups as well but all follow the same religion.
i dated a jewish lady 2 years ago. my first and only jewish girlfriend. she was cool. i'm older and so is she. late 40's at the time. damn i forget if she was older or younger. i think possibly older and the reason i say that is because she looked really good for her age and i remember complimenting her a lot about that. anyways i learned more about jews dating her than i ever have in my life. i just never had any exposure to jews and i never really cared to explore them as a people. anyways the impression i got was this - the only thing jews can agree on is this single one thing - they are jews! that's the only thing jews agree on hahahahhaaa... its funny as hell! and when they go to their church it sounds like more of a social function than a religious function in contrast to a christian church for example. i haven't been to jewish place of worship so i can't say first hand, but from what was explained to me that's my impression. the thing about jews is this - they are not what i thought they were - not even close. put 100 jews in a room and lock the door. if you can get them all to agree on the color of the walls you made history hahahahhahaa... a funny people in my opinion with a great sense of humor. i can honestly see where a rabbi would go insane if he didn't have a really good sense of humor. one question i've long had in life is why some people don't like jews? i don't get it. of course i'm what you would call an agnostic i guess. i think there's gotta be something out there, but i don't subscribe to prophets or prophecy of any kind. so the religious aspect of jews is moot to me. it means nothing to me. what i liked about this girl is she was down to earth and just really cool. she would definitely be your "secular" type of jew if there is such a thing. we didn't work out, because we were different people with different directions we wanted to go. she was fun. she was nice. she was great, but we weren't a match and we were grown up enough to know that. i would date another jewish girl. definitely. the first jewish girlfriend i had left a very positive impresson on me. jewish chicks are cool!
I suppose you're implying that phoney back supremacy cults are the "real Jews", not people whose Jewish ancestry and culture can be traced back millennia to ancient Israel. And you suppose their parents would be offended if they date someone black. Correct me if I'm wrong about what you're suggesting. But it's not true. At the end of this video they say the Jews they find most sexually attractive ("fuckable") are black (the Kravitzes). And these women are all obviously extreme political progressives willing to date non-Jews. They're more philo-black than anti-black.
How are these women so focused on what they expect to get out of a relationship and not one mention on what they have to give to the relationship? 🤔
Wifely attributes are obviously assumed.
🎯🎯
they are women. they are all like that

Agreed... they should have at least some degree of affinity to Jewish values... not just basking in the things Jewish values give them.

best advice i can give. treat her like you would any other gal
As a Jewish man, I hate that the religion is ONLY determined by a Jewish mother. It creates a dynamic where I need her, but she doesn't need me.
