I'm so glad mark liked this film I was worried he might be a bit sooty because it's about Oasis but as always he gave a fair review, this film was great but I'm a huge oasis fan so maybe a bit biased
The documentary for me was absolutely wonderful. As a big Oasis fan I honestly didn't expect it to be simply because when you hear it's a about the rise of the band, you think you have seen and heard it all before. As Mark Kermode points out though, it truly is a charming and thoughtful piece of cinema that really took me back to my childhood and hit home to me that it's difficult to see, given the times we live in, if we will ever see another band again achieve what Oasis did?
I thought it was a terrific Music Documentary. I went to the special screening on the 2nd October with the Q and A session afterwards and enjoyed every minute.
I'm not a huge fan of the band, or Noel and Liam's egos but, the doc actually looks pretty engaging to me. I'll have to check it out when I get a chance.
I'm not a huge Oasis fan but I really enjoyed this doc - would agree with wha Mark has to say. Oh and the difference with Morrissey and Noel/Liam...Morrissey was right about the first album ;)
@@HEAVYDIAPER I was being a bit tongue in cheek. But as Mark says in this video, Morrissey described The Smiths first album as the greatest 'rock' album of all time. I'll take The Smiths over Oasis any day of the week.
He might not be an Oasis fan but I sure am and in my opinion this is the best music documentory ever.

"I think they had... good.. 'tunes'!!" ... grand-dad moment!!

The documentary is what got me into oasis
why have top resolution capped at 420?!
When this movie will be on internet?
The guys making these docs are on fire atm, 3 blinders
In case people don't know, Oasis have reissued Be Here Now, which is one of their best albums.
its not one of their best but it is greatly under rated and very unfairly criticised IMO
OxtonSWA Even Noel who hated it for many years, says he likes it now.
Onmysheet He like the idea and balls behind it. He isn't a fan of the songs as they are recorded.
It is very very funny, there's so much more still to tell

What do you mean? What did Moz say?

Funny to say Oasis songs were simple and catchy...the same guys that says Kurt Cobain was a genius...
Pheeew. For a moment there I thought he "wasn't an oasis fan". Could he have said it anymore??!!
music
Is Kermode not a fan of oasis? You would never have guess! It pained the guy to give this documentary a good review.
Jacob Masters yes he looked totally pained
It sounds like they were better on film than in real life.
