    Started off with a generic copy which have used for years. But after watching Vadims @ "Knife Grinders Australia" humongous tutorial videos. Just had to have a Tormek T-8 Custom and order now being processed. Lots of online sellers in AU awaiting stock till Sept by the way, so obviously a hot item in the present climate. Tormek T-8 Custom grand idea and justified by being more affordable. Also have mixture of Tormek and other jigs that came originally.
    Also the Tormek BGM100 Bench Grinder jig and paper wheels on their way for slow speed grinder. Again thanks to "Vadim @ Knife Grinders" vids. Started out as a hobby mainly to do the dozen or so knives at local Meals On Wheels kitchen. As a monthly community service for as long as am able. But word gets around so getting more knives to sharpen and get to meet a few more ladies as well, haha, being single.
    But basically see it as a noble pastime to while away the hours on my sunny deck for best visibility, here by the Pacific Ocean. Also another big shout out to Tormek and "Vadim @ Knife Grinders". Buy quality and you will never be disappointed.

      Had my T8 for a while now. Did not get the drill jig. The price of $328.00 dollars has me a little worried. Let me know how it goes.

    Great video. What is the composite wheel made from?

    Hallo Tormek. There are many who use Tormek as a professional knife grinder.. i have 3 T8. and there are some who make a additional holder for an extra wheel on the Tormek (on the leather wheel side)... why don’t you make a tormek grinder that have 2 stone on it instead ? I think there will be a marked for it, and i now that many will be happy to buy one.. thank you😁🔪

    can you fit a diamond 200mm wheel to the t8?

    • @TormekSharpening
      @TormekSharpening  5 місяців тому

      No. You have to use grinding wheel with a diameter of 250 mm on the Tormek T-8.

    Why is it soo difficult to understand what you say. I mean the sound is very low. (I am looking your movie on iPhone). It sound your microphone is far away of you

    • @TormekSharpening
      @TormekSharpening  2 роки тому

      Thank you Thomas for your feedback. This was unfortunately a issue we had for a while back. In the newer episodes of the live videos the sound should be louder. You could always try to enable subtitle/closed captions.
      Hope it helps and that you'll be able to learn something from this video. Stay sharp!
