Impossible and Beyond Meat, need no added salt. They also have a lot less saturated fat, zero dietary cholesterol, and unlike beef, are not carcinogenic. The WHO found that red meat is a type 2A (probable) carcinogen, and processed meat is a type 1 carcinogen, which is the same category as asbestos exposure and smoking tobacco.

Jokes aside, the reason Ron won was because he grilled it over fire/charcoal. Im also willing to bet he seasoned his patty. You dont need anything but salt and smoke. BBQ burgers are a step above anything over a griddle or pan.

The big thing that "health nuts" lost sight of, also happens to be one of the simplest things: Moderation. Chris is right, red meat like beef absolutely can cause all those dangerous health problems... if eaten in excess. Just eat it in moderation, and be sure to keep up your aerobic exercise to keep your circulatory system strong. You'll not see any food-related health problems until your senior years, if ever (barring unfortunate genetic predispositions and whatnot, of course).

Turkey is incredibly healthy for high protein content and naturally grows from large birds. It's also dry and mostly tasteless due to the lack of fat. The moment someone invented a way to farm chicken efficiently, turkey went on the forgotten lists of meat that only comes out for traditions like Thanksgiving and Christmas, still demanding large amounts of basting, stuffing and sauces to make palatable. Red meat goes even futhur, having even more fat in it's minced form which produce soft juicy burgers.
