  • "Truth be told, he's not really tough...he was easy...he just got heart, that's all he got...I'm a totally different breed...that's the mentality of a fighter; I'ma kill him if he get up," stated retired undefeated former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather, who spoke to fans during a recent stop on his UK tour. Only someone insecure needs to talk about themselves all the time. Bragging is bragging. Counting that McGregor fight on his record was a stain on boxing. He’s still only 49 - 0

      DhOg 13 Cuz they hate on him cuz he is ehmmm...... black?! Black and in this era. Blacks of previous generations were seen as people who came out of a struggle and people had sympathy for them just for that, but a black athlete from this era is hated just for being black it's just the simple facts.

      If you look back in history every cocky fighter was hated in boxing, especially if they didn't have an offensive style. Like Ali, Whittaker and now Mayweather. Mayweather is a big inspiration to me as a boxer, and he has earned the right to be cocky with what he's achieved.

    we must remember what hatton said to get the mayweather fight. "you seen more action in these 4 rounds then you've seen in floyd's whole career." floyd didnt take that comment lightly and i still dont believe he has let that comment go. floyd has put so much on the line in his career and fans and the media never gave him credit for it. they said he boxes and moves to much we want to see him stand in the pocket and fight. then i watched him fight chop chop corley and you can tell floyd was trying to fight a high action fight. he kept moving forward and he took some shots that fight that i believe will effect him the rest of his life and the fans and media didnt even care afterward so i dont blame floyd for how he fights

      🤔When he said you just seen more action tonight than Floyd had in four fights Floyd heard that and told Leonard make the motherfuking fight Ricky was actually guided along carefully when he met the elite u saw what happened he beat shop Worn champions on their way out that's why you never him matched with these names Shane Mosley margarito Canelo Mayorga Arturo Gatti Zab Judah Danny Garcia Carlos baldomir Maidana Ortiz Andre Berto Timothy Bradley Aamir Khan if you would have met any of these names the outcome would have been the same as what happened with Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather🤣🤣🤣🤣😄😄🤣🤣

    hatton put it on him strong in the first four rounds with some concerted agression and showed the heart of a lion but he got frustrated with the referee lost his focus and it played into floyds hands in the end the money man showed his class with the classic check hook it was a classic fight looking back!

    • @metcalfestarfish
      @metcalfestarfish 7 років тому +3

      Yeah I feel a different ref and that might have made the fight go a different way. Been a while since I saw the fight but remember the ref stepping in and breaking it up every time Hatton got any kind of momentum. Plus he took a point off of Hatton for a shot to the back of the head when Mayweather was constantly turning his back.
      Definitely frustrated Ricky and changed the fight.

    If you are a sincere boxing analyst you will know that he made Hatton move up to 147 where he was unaccustomed to (it takes a year to accustom to a weight division). Then he just sat back moved around and waited for hatton to gas.. hatton marquez pacquiao these guys are blown up lightweights.. they dont look lean and mean at welterweight..floyd wouldn't move up to fight GGG so he needs to be a little humble..

GGG said No you are a middleweight fuck you any weight between 155-160 is allowed.. Canelo then gave him his belt and ran off...GGG said to floyd I will come down to 148-154 division junior middleweight to face you because you are not a middleweight but you have fought in this division a few times..I am only 2 inches taller.. lets make it happen.. floyd said No.. fought berto instead.. and now wants mcgregor an amateur boxer at best...and on top he's dissing hatton who moved up from super light weight to face him in welterweight.. hatton was not a welterweight..

      Stop it. Floyd was making a point to Hatton, allowing him to get into the inside just to neutralize him while in his desired range. Even when allowing Hatton to get inside, Floyd still was getting him with short straight rights to the head and body while Hattons punches were being smothered. Hatton was attempting to make up for this by bullying Floyd physically to tire him out, but it became apparent quickly that that strategy wasn't working either. After Floyd showed Hatton even on the inside, Hatton couldn't fight with him, Floyd started peppering him with lead rights, jabs, and check left hooks from the mid and outside ranges. It was over from there.

    • @gilmour81
      @gilmour81 7 років тому +26

      You need to rewatch it a few more times, Hatton got destroyed on the inside! He was expecting that to be the one area where he could do real damage and be rough (and dirty), but in fact it was Mayweather who was roughing Ricky up all night on the inside.

    • @princessmand373
      @princessmand373 7 років тому +3

      gilmour81 You need to watch it again..Yes Floyd did what you said on the inside because he was allowed to.Soon as Ricky looked like causing him problems on the inside the ref stepped in..It was only later on in the fight when Ricky wasn't allowed to do what he does that Floyd picked him apart..The ref spoilt the fight simple as that

    • @gilmour81
      @gilmour81 7 років тому +13

      Well see its a bit easy to say "simple as that, ref ruined the fight". The fact was that Hatton simply could not land when he got on the inside, not because of the ref interrupting, but because of Floyds defense and at how aggressive and cunning Mayweather was on the inside. Hatton, in fact, none of us expected to see Mayweather to have that good of an inside game against possibly the finest inside fighter at that time. Hatton smothered his work, and got thoroughly beaten as the fight went on, Cortez didnt have a great night either by the way so i'm not saying he wasn't poor. But by blaming the ref on the fact that Hatton was outclassed by not only boxing skills, but cunning rough-house skills is not exactly a good analysis.

    • @michaelwong6050
