Here we are; the last video for my 2022 catalogue. The first story of the book "Gallant Old Engine"; it's Special Funnel!
2022 has been quite a year for the channel; full of many ups and downs. With the year beginning to wrap up, I figured it best to finally make a winter-themed video, considering I missed out during 2021.
Once again, a big thank you to all who have subscribed and supported my content throughout my tenure as a content creator.
A VERY big thank you to TheBlueSnowplow for allowing me access to some of the assets seen in this video! If you've been keeping check on my Twitter account, you'll know that I am a part of the production team on Railspin Splitspace; the final conclusive chapter of the Hawin saga!
I hope you all enjoy yet another of the Reverend's timeless stories as we wrap up the year strong!
I just really appreciate how grounded the feel of this adaptation is. Like the restricted use of music, allows one to just take in the sights and story. The use of Team Rocket’s theme is a great touch.

Was only thinking of this story! Great direction here! Loved Sir Handel's eye movements at 4:20 - makes a huge difference to the effect of the dialogue.

What a wonderful story this was!
Willie Rushton's narration of "Special Funnel" was my official introduction to the Skarloey Railway Engines in the Railway Series with the book "Gallant Old Engine". Also, "Special Funnel" was the very first Season 4 episode I ever saw on VHS video, so this brilliant narration with the televised narrow-gauge engines really means a lot to me.
