It can be very good when a load comes in but most people hove tons of incomplete sets and sell them off as a cherry on top when something completes. When animals are spawning I can predict exactly when I make my $500. Worst case I start the bear guy legendary bounty and take my wagon over near Blackwater and Manzanita to fill up on three star bucks.

Yeah, I remember thinking "I don't need all of the colors in the hitched skirt now... surely, it'll be back cause it's so cute." Close to a year later and it's has NOT come back! Now when limited items pop up that I like, I buy ALL the colors I like before it's gone in a week, so I have ALL of the corsets with the heart shaped top which broke me! But I don't care, my girl looks gooooood in the game, and I just KNOW when look good, you feel good, and you shoot faster. IT'S A FACT! :o) LOL

It's not useless at all. There are almost every day tavern based daily challenges, that gives you easy gold. You also can drink your own moonshine that fortifies your stats before a sale in case of being attacked, and you progress into game's general challenges for golden buckle and xp

From one collector to another, do you just keep holding all the collectibles and sell the duplicates until you complete a set? Or do you chose select collectibles to sell individually while waiting for the other collections to get completed?

I feel like R* designed their clothes viewer the way they did so that people will end up buying more options, just to see how they *actually* look. The number of times I've bought shirts or vests only to find out something's off about it, makes me sad there isn't some toggle feature. It would be nice to see how the shirt I'm viewing looks with my equipped vest and/or coat. An over/under toggle for pants when viewing boots would be nice too, that way you don't have to go to your wardrobe, select boots over pants, then go to the shop just to see the whole boot.
Someone who didn't forget their glasses at home could fix the placement for off-hand holsters and guns while they're at it. The studded bandit holster is the only premium looking holster that every gun sits well in (the Mauser is almost passable even).

What I do is this: Make sure my camp has enough supplies to keep Cripps busy, while I collect stuff using an interactive map that shows where pretty much all collectibles are. This way if I play an entire day I do about 1500 dollars, 625 from a large distant delivery (even renamed my posse "large delivery 300$" so I can get players to join in my posse and protect me", and the rest from sets that I sell to Madam Nazar. I do stop from time to time to resupply Cripps... but I am never broke using this method. That's for the cash, when it comes to gold weeelll...yeah

I’m currently spending money to make more. I got the metal detector a couple days ago and have been leveling like crazy. Now I’m saving for a hunting wagon, then a good saddle with upgrades I’ve been waiting for.
@@K1NG_of_ReVeNGe1 Collector is my main, and sometimes when I'm collecting I come across animals in large quantities at times, especially if those locations include places like Tall Trees, the Grizzlies, the Heartlands, and Big Valley.
In the event of which I get bored while collecting, and I've confirmed that animals are actually spawning. I'll bring out the wagon and hunt them.
Collecting is fun, and profitable, but sometimes running around the map can get boring and tiring. I wanna mix things up and shoot those perfect elk and deer wherever I find them. Also since Trader works like the MC/Gunrunning businesses in GTA, I can get away with being relatively lax and still get money when I'm not collecting.

That's what I did, buy things that make money,,, metal detector, shovel, fast travel at camp, outlaw pass when I had enough gold, loot everyone(treasure maps, items to sell to fence), collector role, but my favorite and most satisfying is fishing,, you can make a decent amount of cash catching fish and selling to butcher.

Personally I'd take players who can't see me unless they're in a certain distance, and can understand the meaning of warning shots (up on the d-pad when aiming a gun), over an Oppressor Mk2 and Hydra any day.

I’m not broke, now that is. Started in on the spring update. MAN WHAT A GRIND! Hunting & fishing was really your best option in between stranger missions. Grind your tail off for you to blow it in one second. Just to upgrade to a tier 3 ability card. Just to realize you don’t even like/use it. Ability cards & the pamphlets. Oh the grind. So I took full advantage of the double gold before the frontier pursuits update. Hit the collector roll wide open. Luckily with just a few things left to purchase. Setting at 378gb & 42k. I also learned to wait and really think about something before I purchase it. Although I really enjoy the stew pot & bar expansion. I only purchased them because they kept popping up in my daily challenges. @ .5 gold over time I’ve made my money back plus some.

I can't tell you what is "you". As for me, I learned during my solo/story play through (3 actually) that most of the stuff I was going to be doing, and that I enjoyed doing, was rough, bloody, muddy, grungy, and scruffy. When online beta opened up, I made my character to match... rough and scruffy. I'm not wearing my prison outfit. But my main outfit I completely bought within a month of beta start, and most of it is the same "working clothes" I wore all the time as Arthur Morgan. If you really like wearing what looks like a 1700's European nobleman's outfit to hunt and skin deer, or think a super shiny black leather outfit makes you a better bounty hunter, more power to you. I do like fancy holsters and gun belts, but otherwise I'm perfectly happy as a scruffy nerf herder.
it took me ages to find my current outfit which i really love, it’s amazing makes my character look like a cute farmer that got into crimes lol
I use to do historical costuming irl. You can imagine how much I’ve spent on clothes in rdr2.
Stupid decision I made, changing my hairstyle to earn 0.5 gold on a daily, then spending 2 gold to change it back (to Moonshiners slicked). I though once I'd bought a style it was free, or at least only dollars not gold.

I wish they would make the game more role play style and less grind because I just want to be a badass outlaw! It would be sick if they would put a ton of people in one server and you could interact with other players in a lot of ways

Most noobs I've encountered go broke because they only grind to get something that they want to purchase; a coat or weapon variant. Most don't seem to care about putting money back. I also remember when the new Outlaw Pass came out I heard some players that I encountered saying what ripoff it was at 40 gold. I told them to do the daily challenges and save up. The common response was something like, "But I want that new jacket." You've ranked up higher than me and have more cash and gold but I almost always buy what I need. I don't buy clothes and weapons just because they're on offer for a limited time. That's stupid.

I used too worry about the amount of cash i had on both of my characters, but with the collector roll and the additional roll daily challenges i always have a good amount of both gold and cash.
Plus i dont normal buy any new horses or clothing that offten.

I have two horses, and one is my Shire from Beta. However, I'm saving to get the Bounty Hunter horse level 20 to replace my Blue Roan. :-)
I have the level 20 breton and realy enjoying it, i would like to hear your opinion because i haven't found 1 video saying it's a great horse, (as a role horse of course) they always say: "the kladruber is great" or "the norfolk roadster is great" but no one talks about the breton which i found weird because i think the breton is actualy the best.
@@guyschwartz5960 Hi there! I really like the Breton and have the golden one. It's fast and doesn't scare as easily as the average horse, and looks like a big beast!!! It can jump over anything too. :-)
Not been playing long, haven’t bought a single thing since leaving the tutorial.. ammo/supplies can be easily found in the open world.
Plus having a love for hunting in general helps me make up the petty cash to continue on.

I managed to avoid the brunt of clothing spending by clinging stubbornly to the worn overalls and work shirt I started with as part of a deliberate Yokel aesthetic. I also don't wear shoes. Shoes are the tools of the oppressor

I already made my weapon style. Point main part of gun blue/black AMD the rest remains Renault Iron with the decorations the same and the word that redish colour scheme. I love it.
I enjoy the collector role, it pays well and I don't mind the grind. It keeps me busy when theres nothing else to do.

Literally all the things you described are the VERY reasons people grind through the game. Whether it's to look good, have the best tools to do the job they enjoy, or have the better means to explore the game in a way they want. So, what are you going on about?
I know right? As if the grind and money would give you something outside the game other than what you can actually buy. Making money just for the sake of making it. I just play the game so I can make all of my favorite spaghetti western character outfits. I could have thousands of dollars if I didnt spend that much on clothes and hair styles, but I wouldve got bored of the game already..

@@sup3rhyp3r56 I think a good horse and a good loadout is out of the question, those things are just necessary. Without those you wouldnt even be making enough money to spend it on clothes.
The idea is, you should spend on fashion AFTER you are set with all your money-making facilities/equipment, and critical cards & weapons. It's like a minimum wage guy who can't pay for food and medicine but goes out to buy Gucci because it looks cool.
What sucks is when you grind and grind and you get a glitch where your camp is gone and isn't loading up and the butcher shops are gone. I grinded for pelts and carcasses and was taking them to Cripps and my camp would not appear. Knowing I would lose them I went to the butcher shop and soon as I got there it was gone. This happens to me all the time. Between my camp disappearing and the moonshine shack freezing up I've wasted so much time grinding for absolutely nothing. Rockstar needs to gift us something for that.
I’m one that got all Ability cards and all upgrades. I had A LOT of money, and now only have $4,000 left. I wanted to have the playing options like you said, but I also tend to use the same 4 cards every time. Lol.

$2,000 wont be enough for any update though. For an update i think you need at the very least 200 gold and $10,000 in order to get anything you may want or need and not go broke doing it
U need 25k or more to not be considered broke and actually enjoy the game without worrying about spending money plus 100 gold

I have worn the same 2 outfits since I found one I liked, that outfit, and that outfit with a jacket.
I spent 7 days last week just doing the collectibles... 3-4 hrs at a time, map out which way you wanna run your routes and collect everything in those areas, flowers,coins, liquor bottles, cards, I also hunted then donated that to crips, also had like 30 maps that I boosted from dead folks ...yes it's a grind but I went from 35 gold bars and like 3k to 140 gold bars and 14k in cash .... in 7 days .. the daily challenges also helped I'm now on my 32nd day in a row... That's a half of a good bar for every challenge I complete...some of the challenges pay double sometimes... Find 3 coins , digging 3 collectibles so that one challenge was 1 gold bar... Play the game the way you want but try this and in no time you'll see both your bank and gold jump up quick... Oh and have fun😁

In around 4 hours i make around 15 gold and $3000 to $6000 just doing the collector role and dailies
I've grinded since beta, I've only bought the essentials, once the roles dropped the cost was no problem. Whereas a ton of players are now having a hard time leveling up their character to enjoy the same benefits I have. For example I play online with a player who is great at PvP and loves to battle all the time and thus blows through ammo and supplies constantly. He's always broke. We've been playing since beta and enjoy the same gameplay, but I choose to take a little time to prepare and earn some money so when I leave to session I'm not in the negative. People are in too much of a hurry with a game that is designed to be at a slow pace. Bottom line it's all about patience. I've been very patient with this game and now I'm sitting on 140k 700gold. And have all the cards weapons and roles it has to offer and money is now extremely easy to acquire. My less patient friends how ever are broke an rely on players like me to enjoy the new content. So for those of you who have been patient and are in a good spot don't be upset that rockstar doesn't favor high level players in new updates. You already have and earned your advantage and are using them, for noobs, be patient of find a different game
You've taken the same approach as I and I've been playing since the beta dropped too. I have everything I need $15k in cash and 300 gold I'm in pretty good shape. After I maxed out every role what I like to do is find noobs and help them level up. The only broke ones that I run into are the ones that feel the need to buy every gun, gun customization, and clothing item available. The biggest problem I have is finding time to play and keeping up a daily challenge streak.

for me it's collecting horses, the fact that they can be named and bonded with really makes it a much more fun filled experience than buying cars at GTA Online, i got my reverse dapple roan nakota for 18 gold bars and its really tempting to buy a lot of them beautiful horses.
Hi im a new RDO player, if i had to give a reason to why i haven't subscribed is because there is a ton of channel doing RDO with nearly the same amount of content in their vids, i like to binge watch a channel first to see if its worth it to subscribe to them, and not just empty content videos like some youtubers doing RDO. But you sir, got my subscription, its just meaningful and informative content every video.
I admit, I wanted to take advantage of the moonshine shack discount so I did go and buy some gold, and then I MAYBE got bored of grinding and dropped a cool 22 bars on the bar
Become a Collector and you’ll never go broke. Always travel with your metal detector out. When near any building, put metal detector away and feel for any vibration in your controller.
Easy fix: save up and buy shovel and metal detector, collect coins every day. Full set = $540 +1500xp
If you map them out suffciently it may only take up to an 45minutes to an hour.

The only non-aesthetic purchase I made with gold (not counting roles) was the horsemanship holster, which gave me an advantage as a level 9 with a lvl25 item. only time i'll ever spend it like that though
Here’s a tip if u own the naturalist role use legandary animals to boost ur trader and do bounty hunter for easy gold while ur waiting for ur trader stock to fill up so u can sell

This one is less of a problem now because they've added the long press purchase to some things, but I wasted so much money accidentally buying saddles because of the horribly laggy shop interface for these. I have around a dozen Belanger saddles because of this. That's the only thing that really killed my cash and that was back in beta.
get to 15 gold bars from dailies challenges (do at least 1 every day so that the bonus ticks), purchase trader role; get to another 25 gold bars (doing the extended dailies x bonus) get moonshiner; mix them so that you always either hunt, do bootleg missions or delivering (I deliver trader short distance) and get tons of XP & $$$$ aka profit... if you favor collector start with that it's more $$$ but I hate doing it.
I've been wondering about online since I just bought RDR2 this past month. More I hear about online more convinced it is only there to separate fools and their money.
I can grind to $1600 in 4-5 hours doing Moonshine and Trader role. At the same time, I can also do a few collector maps and find a few rando items. I agree with the Bounty Hunter role being the least profitable and slowest to rank up, but I enjoy the bounty hunting role, so I do 1 or 2 as well. In all I can make around 2k in 4-5 hour gaming session. I also do not buy a lot of clothes, I have 3 horses and do not need anymore, I only needed 2, but curiosity of "how good is the White Arabian?" Needed to be scratched. I wasted a ton of money on guns and ability cards, but I starting to not regret the purchases, because I use different guns to get the most out of my ability cards and roles.
I remember when the frontier pursuits came out. I had to grind so hard to get the bounty hunter role then relizing I got so little cash so had to grind even more just to get the trader role but i grinded so long to get the bars I ended up getting $1000. So it lucrative if you grindfor like two weeks straight and don't stray away from the grind.
Regularly sell moonshine. Get your challenge streak up. I have around 6k right now and that's even after buying some new clothes for outfits and I brought my gold bars up from 12 to 115 just by doing some challenges every day. Hell, for the past few weeks if I don't feel like playing, I'll only do the challenges that can be done quickly.

I just think of it as real life. Personally, I dont care how I look, what my guns look like if I dont have to buy it. If I can afford items without breaking the bank then I'll occasionally buy it. It gets hard to get used to but it saves you in the long run
I spent my money on trying to get decent guns. And now i have to grind to get 15 bars so i can get my bounty hunter license

I went on a rampage cause I was grinding for days to get to level 31 to unlock the winter shotgun coat and then missed it by a day. However now I don't mind cause I put the money towards sorting out a cool warm weather outfit
In bounty hunting, the higher rank you are the more money you get. At Rank 5 you can $20-$40 for the normal bounties, legendary bounties can be anywhere from $40-$100.
Bought the game during Christmas, hadn't had a chance to play any of it yet. Heard about the free giveaway, so jumped straight into online as a total noob few days ago. I've made it to rank 10 only completing 1 Sheriff mission, and 1 Stranger mission (an Irish guy sent me to rob a coach, really got dropped into the deep end on that one), and failing 2 missions from the Stranger in Blackwater. Ran a delivery wagon off a steep drop while looking the other way (like in the first minute of the mission lol), and couldn't deliver the last piece of mail due to wasting time being confused about stuff like where the mailbag was & what constitutes a mailbox in the old west.
I wouldn't say I'm broke ($100), but I don't seem to have enough to buy anything meaningful for myself either. Also I think I made a big mistake on choosing my first free dead-eye card. Seems I should have taken Paint it Black, but I took the health regen one instead. To top it all off I still haven't gotten the freebies I rushed into online for, and yes I've checked the Horse Inventory.
For me it’s doing the moonshiner stuff, Spent all my money on the the upgraded distillery and it makes itself up over time but I gotta spent 1/3 of what I earn to get more money
idk if things have changed alot or what since this video was made but been getting into online the last few months and haven't been broke one single time. personally find it very easy to grind money.
Bounty hunter is the best payout in my opinion since legendary bounties don’t have a time limit and the longer you take to complete a bounty the more money you get you can go afk for hours and comeback to hundreds depending on how long you were afk
i’ve got around $3600 and around 16 gold because i’m a cheapskate and i can tell if i spend it all something good will come out but i’ve still got a moonshine shack with bar and band expansion along with a 10 gold interior and all the other roles which help me make the money back, i’ve also got 6 horses and a bounty wagon because i play the game a lot as even if it’s boring i still enjoy going fishing and hunting
I've been broke since I bought the large delivery wagon , and then the animals disappeared.
Legendary Bounty then Yukon Nik. Call your hunting wagon and fill it then dismiss it. If you don't have Bounty Hunter, then grind until you do! Trader is broken right now and it's the only way I can make money with it.
