I loved your wisdom in your response to how do you cheer yourself up. Specifically not fighting against what your body response is to what your environment/nature is each day. “It is what it is” is a thing for a reason. Literally, what is IS what is(that’s how I rephrase it to work for me). This is reality, be in your reality and things move along so much easier. Very wise, Becca. Giving yourself permission to exist as you are something like a sense of relief.
I definitely relate to your comment on Leo being your soul dog. I love both of my cats very much but Veruca is my soul. Sometimes when I'm down just leaning my head against her side and listening to her purr is all I need. ❤
My Pleasure Adventure List - I enjoy going thrifting and antique shopping for one-of-a-kind finds at amazing savings, or go plant shopping for plant on my wishlist. If I’m unable to get out, I find joy repotting and styling plants, work a jigsaw puzzle, or watch a program that my husband doesn’t want to view with me.
I love having a bubble bath to de stress and relax with some candles and a glass of wine and listen to music. Enjoying a good movie in the evening is nice too with ice cream or a take out. I also enjoy yoga and shopping. Dinner out with friends or your partner. House work having a clean tidy home can boost your mood too. I like decorating and re arranging my home aswell and declutter.
This is a great video, thank you. I can definitely relate on how you feel about Leo. My cat Harley is like that for me. She also leaves my plants alone which is awesome. I still only collect nontoxic plants just to be safe but so far no problems. Some of my best moments are sitting in my room, snuggling with Harley while surrounded by my plant friends.
At night when I can’t shut my brain off I have learned to just get up and do a brain dump. Writing absolutely everything down that I am thinking of allows me to then fall asleep. I keep paper and pen in my bedside table.
I'm here for all the morphing! Great topic and chat! I'm almost 55 and I'm still trying to figure out adulting. 😉 It's definitely a journey.... Plant related question: what do you do with your old potting soil? Does it go in the compost or back in the yard?
Great tips! Baths are my fav but since i can't take them every night, a notepad does the trick for me. I'm head of operations for a living so my mind is constantly racing with tasks to get done. The thing that's worked the best for me is to keep a notebook on my nightstand and write down everything that pops into my head that I don't want to forget for the next day etc. For some reason once I write it down my brain relaxes and I can stop thinking about it until it's time to work.
Pot helps me sleep 🌱 I sleep like a baby ever since I started & I used to struggle for years falling asleep & having a restful one. I was always overthinking & not able to turn my brain off now I'm out like a light & my overall health is way better 💚
I think my soul dog is my husband. I don't fear to be silly in front of him. I can truly express my feelings and say whenever I need hugs or just words of kindness. We've been together 17 years. We both have anxiety and depression and that helps us to feel really understanding towards each other. It is an understatement that I NEED him to stay alive. Of course it would be nice to be healthier mentally and not to be dependent on someone but this works for us.
Omg totalllllllly relate to your bond with Leo. That’s exactly how I feel about my pup. He’s my constant, through alot of life stuff I’ve been through ❤
I definitely enjoy the journey of the channel ❤ This was a great video and I could definitely use some stress/life management in my life 🫣I absolutely agree with your puppy being being a soul dog. I don’t think there is any other being that truly loves so selflessly and unconditionally 🐶❤ people who “aren’t dog people” have no idea what they’re missing out on! Thank you for sharing!
Becca have you looked in to getting diagnosed as ADHD? I am & so many things you say especially about your struggles with executive function & the fleeting hobbies you've had in the past etc. Food for thought 😁
I am actually being evaluated later this year!! It’s so validating to hear this from you, I’ve felt for a while that I might have ADHD and the more I look into it, the more my brain and life makes sense. I hope finding out can bring me some clarity 🤌🏼
I second this. I want to get myself evaluated too because I have been all over the place all my life but growing up in the 90s, girls weren't recognized as often as having it (and I had good grades and didn't cause problems in class so there was no obvious reason to do it).
Oh gosh Becca, another great video, I really like your videos and all of the adivice and showing us how to do things to help our plants, especially the planks that you use to have the plants grow up on. and I also have to say that I tend to watch a lot of things on UA-cam and also Netflix and I also have comfort movies as well and my favorite one is also Mama Mia, and me and my bestie watch it a lot because we both love it so much. Thanks again Becca for a really fun video to watch and hang out with you while you repotted those wonderful plants. I hope that you have a great weekend coming up, sending love and hugs, bye! 🤗😍👋👍🙏💜💜💜💜
hello, thank you for repotting and for the conversation about stress. I am a type A but sometimes I can appear to be type B but unfortunately only in appearence because inside of me I will still be type A. I would want to be a type B inside and outside so much but seems that I cannot do that and this is taking all of my energy. Do you have some advice for me? ps. by the way your relationship with Leo is wow, I have a soulmate dog who's name is Faith, she is my faith, hope, everything
I was actually tested earlier this summer and confirmed that I do have ADHD! It was honestly such a relief to find out after suspecting it for a while. 😅

I'm so jealous of your cebu blue pothos. It's gorgeous!
I do the whole "drive through and watch youtube/netflix" at times when I need alone time. It's so soothing to me haha
Omg so glad I’m not alone!!
Only a minute in and love this one. Gorgeous vibes. Cute cute cute.
Thank you!

Hi Becca, I am an adult woman with ADHD, and I recognise a lot symptoms in you, as well as possible comorbidities.
Have you ever been tested?
I was actually tested earlier this summer and confirmed that I do have ADHD! It was honestly such a relief to find out after suspecting it for a while. 😅
From what you said at the end you’re definitely naturally type a LOL I don’t think that far ahead at all
Hahahaahah😂😂
