"I can't kill my therapist, I need another session"
All-time greatest meme!
Show of hands: who loves Dexter cuz he makes you wonder if you're ...Did I say that out loud?
🤣🤣
Hilarious how Dexter hitting Paul with the frying pan is considered one of the human moments. Even if it’s a psycho thing to do, it’s so relatable.
They consider it human cuz he acted out of emotion. Psycho would have been him planning to set up Paul. Everything he did was very improvised that's why he gets caught on it.
It's not psycho to defend your family.
Best part was his face 😬
That’s the thing. It’s not a psycho thing to do as he lost control of his emotions. Psychopaths don’t feel emotions like regular folk. He got pissed because he was insulting Rita, someone he cared about. Psychopaths don’t care about anything other than how it affects themselves and how useful they can be to their own goals.
@@MR.ICE. psychopathy is characterized by impulsivity, the "psychopaths are careful, calculated and unemotional" idea is just a rumor, that's machiavellianism which isn't even in the dsm
That last one was hilarious. "You don't even walk like a human. You're like a lizard gliding on ice" 😂
Doakes was the best! He saw right through Dexter, immediately.
Lizards don't glide on ice. They hibernate in the colder regions.

I still can’t believe that Doakes was the Bay Harbor Butcher
Yeah ikr, craazy🍷
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 hahahahaha
Well he was always really aggressive. Especially with poor Dexter. Dexter's such a nice quiet guy. Glad Doakes didn't kill him.
Hmmmm, I wonder what's inside Dexters vent in his apartment🤔 nothing bad I hope😁

He's an effin brute. Don't miss him one bit.
The face he makes when he hits paul gets me everytime, Love how harrison makes the same face in new blood when he hits someone with a pan too
The scene where Dexter snaps and hits Paul with a frying pan was hilarious! Never realized how funny until now 😂
It’s the face he makes after!! 😂
His Sister had a horrible ending, they did her dirty.
Yeah, it sucks
poor deb
At least in the books she is kept alive in the end. And even has a son with Kyle Chutsky (Lundy's book alterego).
@@wearywanderer1912are the books any good ?
It was so funny when he told Dexter that you don't even walk normal you walk like a lizard on ice he does glide 🤣 he knew something was up with dex from the start 😂
Feels like a crime to censor Deb and Doakes.
They were the best at cussing 😂
Right? It's a show about a serial killer with all kinds of graphic gore, but better censor the naughty words.
“People think its fun to pretend youre a monster” *shows kid wearing bush mask* lol

It's a G W.Bush mask.

Scrolled down looking for exactly this lol
I watched Dexter as I was going through Interferon Treatment for Hep C and that shit was no joke- I spent 15 weeks in bed. But Dexter was what I watched when I was able to stay awake long enough and I still love it. I swear this show and discovering Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp a Butterfly” album saved me…
I hope you're doing well now.

Even his goddamn introduction sounds like a robot trying to emote XD Love(d) this show!
He said he never felt anything but he cared about his sister and his girlfriends kids.
yeah he's always had feelings, shows how bad harry was as a father
It’s a big arc in the show. Dexter does have feelings, it’s just his insane father told him he didn’t and basically turned him into a murdering psycho
No what he said was if he had feelings it would be for his sister
@@AprilSilvers-py4zj no he's always had feelings, look at Brian, Rita, Astor and Cody. he feels super guilty after hurting them, have you seen the end of season 4 or not?

I don't plan on watching the show so please spoil it for me, I am incredibly curious.
I was in high school when this came out. Was too nervous to watch it at first and then couldn’t stop watching lol. Less Gore than I thought it’d be.
Yeah it's not about the gore.
The original story is all about gore tho. Dexter is suposed to chop people apart with chainsaws like they did to his mother.
Guess the showrunner thought that wouldnt be nice on tv😂
I’ll never get over how good Jon Lithgow was in Dexter.
8:18 looks like both of them were about to break character lol
Michael C Hall is incredible as Dexter!! He's handsome, sexy n charming n super talented!! I watch Dexter over n over again just to watch his handsome face n brilliant acting!!
haha him dancing was the worst
Seriously gave me Ted Bundy vibes.
Thank you for posting these
One of my FAV scenes was when Dexter went to his HS reunion and was dancing to Mc Hammer ' cant touch this ' when he did the typewriter dance I DIED!😂😂😂😂❤
4:22 The way he responded after is funny.
Such a nice man
Doakes's character grew on me. At first I saw him as a dick, but he was right about Dexter.
He was right but he was a killer too, his own code, but still. It must've been like Jack (The Narrator) & Marla in Fight Club; Doakes knew Dexter was a "tourist" when acting normal lol
Hammer time.
I still think Dexter had feelings he was not 100% psychopath if he was his family would mean nothing to him in bad times like trinity's family was to him. Even the doctor that made Dexter was surprised he showed feelings for others was small but his son Hanna and deb are ones he loved and cared for and would never kill even if they fit his code like Hanna did.
all psychopaths have feelings. they’re just not convinced that yours matter. they don’t see you. psychopaths are hugely emotional people even though that emotionality isn’t always demonstrated in a way we recognize.
That was the conflict of the Trinity series, would Dexter have ended up like him? lol:p
doakes was a such great character, I wish he would stayed longer instead of laguerta.
7:45 One of the few times that I completely agree with Dexter 🤣
Dexter doing the hammertime was hilarious
Dexter's face at 5:57 LMAO
3:12 is such a classic hahaha Doakes not even on screen
As the show progressed, I felt like Dexter was more human than I’ll ever be 😅
We were done dirtiest with the "New Blood" ending. They had so much potential to knock that out of the park, and somebody said no.
First season was an absolute masterwork.
5:58 dexters face 😂
"I didn't create a monster. I was used by one."
All Dexter fights next?
"Fine, Doakes. No donuts for you."
everyone always wondering how Dokes knew there was something Muderously off about Dexter....dude was Former Special Forces he know's a killer when he sees 1
God I fucking love Doakes lol
Best series ever invented. The reason I know this is because once I watch the whole series I miss it and find myself Starting it over from the beginning again. Lol 😆 🤣
Sooo I take it the therapist ""disappeared"" right ?
Turns out Dexter had dirt on him so yes. He disappeared
Best comedy show🙏🏻🙏🏻
We need more Dexter's. City's would be a lot safer!!!!!!
What episode is the court scene from?
I love the subtle nod towards Dexter being a true psychopath at 2:39 when he doesn't flinch or jump. Apparently that's a trait, I've read and seen things on it - but I'm NO expert nor psychologist.
Might not have even been intentional 🤷♂️😂
Pretty sure he's a sociopath not a psychopath
I think there's an episode, maybe Doakes or the ex-husband, who pretends to punch him in the face, he never flinches or blinks
@@jmz2144u correct it was rita ex husband
@@sanicspeed1672there’s no real difference they’re just colloquial terms. “sociopath” seems to have a softer connotation for people but ASPD is the same disorder no matter what you call it.

That comment about Deb and love... funny considering Michael and Jennifer Carpenter dated in real life.
They were actually married for 2 years
they should have kept his character asexual imo
why
@@natsofatzo bc it was based plus it just fits his character more imo
They showed growth. A character arc. And it also played into the fact that Dexter wasn’t a perfect psychopath like the doctor Vogel thought.
@@Cantbearsed447 what? are you trying to say asexual isnt real? lmao thousands of autistic people would beg to differ
@@jdwylde7i guess but to me it felt out of place. it feels like he just decided to grow out of it. and also makes asexuality something to be fixed. imo he didn't need to find sex to grow as a character. i think him discovering the love he feels towards rita in a romantic sense accomplishes the same thing but way better and was just more compelling. i havent watched the show in like 6 years at least though so my memory isnt perfect
3:30 who is that actor? Anyway this is enough "Dexter" for me to watch..I couldnt cope with whole episodes.
"We can't let them steal our women, can we?"
(☉_☉)...
"No, they're our women"
Dexter became too human and serious thoughout the series, I wish they kept the same energy from the 1st season
Definitely he was totally different season 1 to 8
Absolutely
I think if the show ended with Dexter turning himself in and being sentenced to life in prison, that would be a happy ending for him. He would no longer have to pretend. And he'd probably be famous. The public would probably praise him as a hero, and he'd exit the courthouse to a crowd of cheering people holding up banners to support Dexter (like he always dreamed). He'd be the most famous serial killer in existance. He'd be interviewed by everyone. He'd write bestselling books. He'd still work as a consultant for the police and FBI on blood spatter and criminal profiling. He'd probably teach seminars on on advanced methods of profiling serial killers. Psychologist would love to talk to him and learn about his psych, plus he'd actually be able to talk to a psychologist to work through his trauma. And he'd feel no temptation to kill because his code won't allow him to target criminals in prison.
I think that would have been a proper happy ending for Dexter. Also where Deb is alive and raising Harrison.
I wish I could fake it like him. He's my inspiration.
bro
@goofymusicproduction hey he could just be socially awkward.
Shut your corny aah
After season 5, the feel and story line of the series declined. The gem we had practically disappeared, the writers took a route with the story that was at times unreal and illogical for the characters, the villains actors selection declined significantly. What made Dexter a cultural Icon was Michael C Hall and the writing/acting of the first five seasons.
He is very handsome
Some fan theorize that Dexter may have Asperger's
autism is a collection of symptoms more than it is an actual disorder to have in and of itself. dexter absolutely demonstrates many facets of the autism spectrum, like many people with antisocial personality disorder.
@@tonoornottono that and he's very routine driven.
He feels both autistic and ace and I can see quite a few of those traits in him and I relate to them quite heavily. I love Dexter so much
That Trinity Killers wife is pretty bautifull.

@@lukedorrington9712you don’t know what gen z sense of humor is, don’t you?
To those who say Dexter was asexual he’s not he just didn’t prioritize women and was indifferent about them; he was a SK.
his lack of attraction is pretty well understood at this point. that’s all asexuality is. he’s not attracted to anybody. didn’t he start off pretty sex-repulsed? maybe he gets used to the act itself but it’s clear as hell that he’s not “attracted,” which is literally the only thing asexuality means.
Had he been a true asexual he’d never be with Rita or have had Harrison!
@@MariaHeredia-dw4id that’s not how asexuality works. asexuality is a lack of sexual attraction, which i think is pretty well demonstrated in the show. asexuals can still have sex and stuff- and to dexter, heteronormativity is just another mask. sex is a mask for him, it has the utility of making him look normal. fatherhood does the same. but he mentions multiple times that he doesn’t feel any need for sex or any true sexual attraction for anybody. that’s all that asexuality is.
@tonoornottono That’s not how asexuality works! Asexual - A term used to describe someone who does not experience sexual attraction toward individuals of any gender. Asexuality is a sexual orientation, and is different from celibacy, in that celibacy is the choice to refrain from engaging in sexual behaviors and does not comment on one's sexual attractions. If Dexter was truly asexual he wouldn’t have had GFs or a family. It’s not that hard to understand plus remember throughout the series when he was younger Harry had to push home to interact with teenage girls his own age! Most asexuals love themselves and have some issues with the other genders which is why they don’t focus on them.Dexter was a straight white guy who’s just indifferent to women because he has bigger issues than them.On top most asexual don’t participate in sexual relationships which is why they’re asexual.
@@MariaHeredia-dw4id do you know any asexuals? i do. you literally wrote the definition here: “a term used to describe someone who does not experience sexual attraction towards individuals of any gender.” yeah. that’s what i said, too.
then you differentiate it from celibacy- which is exactly what i did. asexuality is a lack of ATTRACTION. it is not the inability or unwillingness to have sex, or even to have romantic relationships.
an asexual may not be attracted to anybody, but may enjoy the physical sensation of sex. as a sexual orientation it is entirely concerned with the question of sexual attraction, not physical or romantic compatibility.
we learn very clearly that he has no sexual attraction- this is the literal definition as you have just written it. he meets this criteria.
his participation in romantic and sexual relationships is done purely out of a sense of normalcy. it is a mask for him. he literally says this in the show. his lack of attraction is the only criteria for being asexual- his participation is neither here nor there. it has nothing to do with the category.
1:05 deb and dex shoulda kissed fr those cowards

Yessssss I hated him
I’m heartbroken. It’s fucking hard to rewatch and see him in his baby form knowing what he’d do to Dexter in the end.
1:03 Didn't age well. IYKYK.
Someone will disagree with what I am about to say but I don't particularly care; dexter kind of was the good guy( in the beginning) and the writers should have kept him that way concerning how he stuck to his father's code of going after bad people only; he could have ignored that and went after anyone he wanted at any time, he could have given in to the temptation of killing the security guard his brother had laid before him at the abandoned hospital or his sister at their childhood home but he chose to follow his father's rules despite his own issues with him because deep down he really didn't want to hurt innocent people and season after season was showing him striving to be a better person and was achieving that slowly especially with lumen in season 5 and brother sam in season 6, Hannah in season 7 Was the worst character ever thought of for her corruptive influence is what brought down Dexter's Integrity and ruined him from being the lovable and honorable character we all know from the books and earlier seasons,
the show's 2 endings was I feel very disappointing because they wrote it and his character all wrong for he wouldn't have given in to his grief over the loss of his sister to where he would abandon his own son, sure he would be at his lowest for a minute but he would pull himself together and remember the promise he made to deb of how he would always be there for harrison no matter what and you can't sit there and convince me that a small town sheriff like his girlfriend angela would be able to bust a notorious killer like Dexter based on circumstantial evidence not to mention the tranquilizer formula is not the same; he never used kenimine on his targets he used M99,
The writers should have continued adapting his story from the novels for they had tons of potential of doing and successfully pulling off a reverse breaking bad and the blacklist with the character, turning him into his very own sophisticated concierge of crime fighting with a vast network of resources at his disposal to help him hunt those that escape justice while keeping him 2 steps ahead of the people he works for in law enforcement who feels and views himself as the "the bad guy" that doesn't believe he can change but doesn't want to disappoint his father, his best friend angel, his wife, kids and sister by giving up trying with case after case and ultimate showdowns with the main antagonist of the season pushing him further and further down the path of being a honorable, righteous and semi-heroic individual with new blood being his swan song where he sacrifices himself to save his son, his son's girlfriend along with his own girlfriend from Kurt Caldwell, his son and the billionaire character they had in there that was serving as a red herring, have it where he had a connection to kurt and was involved somehow in covering up his secret of being the runaway killer and Dexter dying ending their threat once and for all thus earning his redemption which brings his story arc full circle with him ultimately breaking good,
As for doakes the most annoying thing about him was his hypocritical attitude towards dexter when he tried to get him in trouble for just doing his job as a blood spatter specialist after he in an act of revenge shot dead a former death squad operative who was unarmed and tried to cover it up with lies which put his partner angel batista in a very uncomfortable situation of possibly turning him in to be arrested by IA until he was given a pass by the government,
It should have been written and adapted according to the way it worked out in the books where they worked together to take down a cartel leader and doakes was severely maimed by the main antagonist dr danco to where he lost his legs and arms and tongue as a consequence for killing in cold blood that death squad operative who just so happened to be related to the villain, dexter tries to save him despite him knowing his secret but fails, he goes into a comma and dies later on in the 3rd season but Is revered as a hero cop and posthumously awarded a medal for risking his life to bring down dr danko who gets framed by Dexter as the Bay Harbor butcher,
the same scenario can be applied but altered to the character Maria Laguerta, have the consequences of her actions in season 2 befall her in season 7 by having esme come back for revenge on laguerta for ruining her career by using her secret connections to the criminal underworld to frame her and make her look as if she's losing her mind like what laguerta did to her by sleeping with her boyfriend and have it where Debra is the one that tries to save her but fails with season 8 being the final season that deals with the fallout of that event and Dexter being the loving caring brother that he's been towards her trying to help her overcome the grief of laguerta's death all while dealing with the reign of terror from the brain surgeon, I say all of that to say that joe from the show YOU doesn't hold a candle to dexter and that dexter would have that despicable man for breakfast, lunch and dinner to feed the very jackels he came from! 🔥😁😉👍
Don't particularly care my ass, U comment the same comment on every Dexter clip is " not caring"?
