Nick Pastorino it’s not necessarily that things weren’t better in the past than they are now, it’s mainly directed towards people who say that everything was better back than than it is now simply because it was back than regardless of how good the current product can be. Like for example, there are people out there who would say that The Kat vs Terri Runnels at Mania 2000 was better than Charlotte vs Becky vs Sasha simply because of the nostalgia people have for the Attitude Era regardless of how good the individual matches actually were
ryder mccall 18 had WAYYY more in attendance than 17 and included one of the greatest Wrestlermania dream matches of all time. 18 was definitely bigger
Back when I was a kid, I had the Wrestlemania boxsets that included about 5 Wrestlemanias in each set. I remember always being able to watch Wrestlemania 17 again and again because of how good the whole show was. It was always my go to when I was in the mood for wrestling. I'm not nearly as big as a fan now, but it is cool hearing recognition that it was the best one. 12 year-old me always thought so.
Did you even look at the thumbnail? That's what they called it at the time. You could say both are correct, just like saying two thousand eighteen and twenty eighteen for the year are both correct. And what's wrong with claiming to have been there when they actually were? Over 60,000 people attended. Is it that hard to believe it when someone says they were there?

Fuck that elbow drop from Taker that kept the ref down for 10 minutes. At Survivor Series 2014, Ziggler hit the Zig Zag on Seth Rollins at the end of the Team Cena vs Team Authority Survivor Series Match. Triple H had time to attack Ziggler, Pedigree him, call down a new referee, then Sting's music hit, then Sting walked down to the ring, then he and Triple H stared each other down for a minute, then he hit the Scorpion Death Drop on Triple H, then he put Ziggler on the STILL unconscious Seth Rollins. The original referee recovers at this point, enters the ring, gives the three count, awarded Ziggler the victory, and Rollins was still not moving. Somebody please nerf the Zig Zag.
Biff the BearKiller In all fairness Rollins more than likely fucked his leg on the way down from that Zig Zag if the last year and a half is anything to go by.
A friend of mine went to it, said it was such a cultural event. People from all over the world were there, a lot of cars with signs like "Wrestlemania or Bust" taped on, etc. This was arguably the climax of the Attitude era.
Oh there's no "arguably" about it. This was definitely the climax of the Attitude Era. Many argue it was also the end of the Attitude Era, although others argue that the Invasion and rest of 2001 should be included. The product definitely changed after this PPV though.
@@drrockkso8882 yes, it changed all the way around. The weekly viewership YTD in 2002 was down. I argue this was the end as it was the complete end of The Monday Night Wars, the hallmark of the attitude era. Hello, I attended this beautiful masterpiece of art in Houston,Texas, my home-city. I was 13 years old. I speak on behalf of all my friends and I that when we speak of this majestic day and event, we pronounce it as Wrestlemania "17" not X-SEVEN. We see it as roman numerals but pronounce as it should be. Never have I ever in my lovely city hear someone say you remember Wrestlania X-Seven. I was able to reach out and touch Kane's sweaty arm when they fought through the crowd. I still have not washed my hand. Thanks to my older brother for helping me stand on the chair and reach out to touch that fighting arm through all the security that held us back. Wrestling for me as a entertainment did change after this day. My friends and I had felt that we reached the PEAK of what was a big part of our childhood. We walked in the infamous Astrodome as kids and came out as Men. God Bless Wrestling....
I agree, though Hogan slamming Andre was the greatest single moment in Wrestlemania History, X-7 was, without a doubt, THE best Wrestlemania from start to finish ever.
Wrestlemania X-7 is still the only WWE live event I've been to... because it is the only one, I'm not sure if I want to go to more, it was such a perfect show....
Aah, so that`s why Shawn Stasiak was constantly buried on WWE TV. He wasnt exactly the best wrestler in the world but I always felt he could of been used alot better and i was curious as to why the creative team seem to try to ruin his life. I guess thats what he gets for having a big mouth
I loved this Wrestlemania. it twas the best one in my childhood when I was at the peak of it and looking back on it brings me great memories and remember it well like it was yesterday. Kane's entrance was badass and he won the Hardcore title that night along with The Undertaker's epic entrance too and Triple H's too with Motorhead (the best entrance HHH ever in my view) and of course this was the event where we started to take noticed that Undertaker had at Streak when he went 9-0 however, it was also where some of us Taker fans who had been keeping track with it though he was gonna lose that night to Triple H but Taker somehow won it and remained unbeaten. Another reason this WM was special too was also because of the bloody and epic main event with Austin and Rock and Austin's sudden heel turn when shaking hands with Vince and JR's wide commentary. Everything about this WM remains the number 1 in my view and I watched live at home and I'll never forget it.
If you don't pronounce Wrestlemania III as eye eye eye, then you have zero business pronouncing wrestlemania 17 that way. We pronounce the Roman numerals as the numbers they represent. So wrestlemania III is wrestlemania 3 wreslemania iv is wrestlemania 4 and wrestlemania x-seven is wrestlemania 17
Undertaker didn't blade. Triple H (for the only time ever) used a fake sledgehammer with a rubberised head, when he hit Taker with it, the handle ripped through the rubber and cut Undertaker's forehead open. I believe this was verified by Triple H himself.
Foley's next WrestleMania match after 2000 was WrestleMania XX when he teamed with The Rock against Flair, Batista, and Orton, not 2006 against Edge. I would've loved if the golf cart chase went around the entire building!
One more fact: Rhyno got asleep during tripple threat TLC tag team championship match, along-side announcer's table and Christian whispered i his ear" Rhyno... hey Rhyno" ! IT IS revealed by Rhyno himself in latest WWE Documentary " STRAIGHT OUTTA DUDDLYVILLA..... DUDDLY BOYS LEGACY"

the first ppv I was allowed to order.. what an amazing one too
Sheamus took spike's revenge. 😁😁😁
dead lord 32 yep
Roman Reigns to Taker at WrestleMania 33: "I'm sorry, I love you."
always said huge props to Chioda for commitment to the bit.
These were some, dare I say, very interesting facts for an awesome PPV.
It's 17. Spelled in a dumb early 2000's way.
Watch Undertaker vs Triple H at X-7 and tell me how many moves Triple H connects with during the match.
wrestlemania 17
I think this is the one everyone was waiting for lol #🐐 of WrestleManias
Wrestlemania Seventeen!
There, I said it. 🖕😎
Does it matter x7 x8 its still was the 17th Edition WM 17 .Next ..
Rock was screwed over again ...when does he learn not to trust Vince
Nice Wrestlemania seventeen video Adam...
Saw this one live in Houston. After Austin shook McMahon's hand, I got up and walked out. Haven't watched wrestling since.
Thars Deep ..
Anyone who calls it X7, are the same people that say "would of" instead of "would've". 16 was the exception because of the year 2000.
Never seen Wrestlemania X seven.
Wrestlemania Seventeen was probably the best one ever though.
Will this ever be re-released on DVD or Blu-ray without all the edits? It's way out of print and expensive as hell!
Says it wrestlemania x-7 but then says wrestlemania eighteen 👀 🤔
Gimmick Battle Royal was awesome, they should do it again. Also, how can he call it X-Seven but call the next year's 18?
That heel turn prevented this from being the perfect pay per view.
Yes I was there and for wrestlemania 25 and also I was there at Minute Maid park for the royal rumble
Let this be a reminder that starting videos off with unimportant pronunciation arguments is not the way to go
The Title is irrelevant it's the 17th Edition of WM which is wM17 ..talk about the match not the Bloody Title
