That is a Guild F-512 12 string, made in the U.S. It looks like it has Rosewood back and sides. I have one but it has a sunburst top. It is incredible. They want $4,400.00 for them, but you can usually make a deal for less money. Good luck.

To add the half beats and emulate the rhythm if you were strumming it. Makes it easier to keep time.

The Rolling Stones wrote it and performed it, but Marianne Faithfull has also recorded it - her recording is probably the more well-known version of it.
