Skyler Productions ÒwÓ also. I think i'll become a gachatuber when i get a iPhone for my birthday (in 4 more days) also. I broke my ankle in school ;-; Anyway. Since i love drawing. I been really motivated this month to draw. So lets do our best to become great artist
stuff i'm trying to figure out. 1. how to not mess up on my inking or my coloring 2. how to blend colors properly 3. how to get used to not pushing so hard on the pencil when sketching (school doesn't really help because i have to do that with writing other what i wrote down will look really faded) 4. how to keep a single sketching process (like for sketching bodies) 5. poses 6. anything fantasy related 7. deciding if a 0.5 works better or a 0.7 works better (i use mechanical pencils)
About 7, it doesn't really matter, though, 0.7 is thicker then 0.5 so if you want thick lines, use 0.5. personally, I own both pencils and leads. About 5, you should look at refrences on the internet and try drawing them, and don't forget to train this more About 3, if you have any artist relatives, ask them for help. If you don't have artist relatives, try not holding the pencil too close to the paper (though so you could still draw) Hope it helped!
I have a tip for not pressing so hard on paper, no one pets any animal hard (at least I think.) So pretend your stroking an animal softly. I don't know if this will help but it did with me!
*This is my drawing story:* I am in a Freshmen in high school and I can't draw AT ALL. As in, I can't even free-hand sketch a circle. My hobby of wanting to draw (specifically Anime or Manga) was back in 5th or 6th grade, I can't really remember. I've actually always loved to draw, I just wasn't good at it. I always thought of myself as a failure if I couldn't draw something and gave up on it on my first try. Then I'd come back to it a month or two later, and if I failed, I'd take a month(s) long break again. I've been doing this for years. Recently, I had thought that I got too old to learn to draw well anymore and I'd be destined to be a horrible artist for the rest of my life. Now that I watched this video, you have given me hope to start again. Now I will be able to fill the pages of my empty sketchbook and, hopefully, look back at it in the future and remember that I would've never been able to get to where I am now without your help. *Bless you!* Edit: You have a new subscriber! (I am SO grateful to have found your channel!)
I'm sorry to say this even if your comment is wonderful, but I've been drawing for around 7 years and I can't draw a circle either, so dont give up as I won't either ^^
Here's a tip for you, Rebekah. You might already know this. The best tool for brushing eraser debris from your drawing is a big ol' feather. I use the feather from a swan's wing. Gets all the bits off the paper, but won't smudge your drawing, even soft pencil. Love your videos. Regards from the UK.
Waaah! lav your videos so much!!! This inspires me a lot!!! I'm 13 years old now and I'm not so good at drawing but I really love to draw. This video makes me realize that Drawing needs improvements and it is a process!!!❤❤❤
Oh my gosh, you are so right! In the beginning, I was pretty bad, but eventually I got better. I used a lot of your videos to help me learn how to draw my style. I also watched a bunch of DrawingWiffWaffles videos. I think you should make more tips and tricks videos too!
The obsession on owning fancy art tools are one of the mistakes I usually had... But now since I recently thinking about it, I just decided to use just a more common mechanical pencil and a normal pen because it doesn't matter what fancy tool you use, skill and experience is all that matter...
this is really gonna help me out in the long run! i sometimes am guilty of drawing too quickly, but now i see the benefits of drawing slowly! thank you!
Thanks for the tips! I will defenently use these. I stopped drawing for a while, because I started playing tue violin, and my main focus was on that, instead of my art. I am starting to draw again, these tips will be very helpful!
Every since I was little I drew realism and now I am very god at it, but I have been wanting to learn how to draw cartoon and manga but I just can’t seem to get ahold of it( maybe it’s because it’s not realistic) but your drawing tips have helped me
Thank you very much for this video! Your videos are so inspiring, they always help me not feel so bad for myself whenever my art doesn't work out or it's not as good as I hoped. Keep going and keep inspiring!
Thanks for your videos I decided to start practicing learning to draw a few months ago and discovering your channel has been a great inspiration like having a friend show you their craft!
I just wanted to thank you, for making such nice & clean videos! I really appreciate that! Because hearing someone cuss every 5 seconds can really ruin a video. :)
And one more important thing for people who watch this video, the one who could understand her the most are the one who made the same mistakes... Hehe. 3 years ago I would fall asleep when listening to her before I start to draw. Now...well, it is actually understandable and deep from what she said.
Here's a tip for you, I use a pen to do my line art and it turns out amazing after I erase my sketch. You should do that. It's just a suggestion, just I see your sketch behind the line art and it's just better not to see it ;)
I tilt my head too! This is so helpful! Can you make a video on how to use Copic markers? Or just a video on how to continuously practice using them? I want to learn how to use my copic markers, but whatever I draw, is just either too small, or something I want to ink but it’s too beautiful and I’m afraid to mess up.
I don't know if I knew this or not, but hearing what you say make me realize you're so right. So to improve in art, we have to do a lot of the same/similar draw? But we shouldn't do too much the same/similar draw to? So does that more you draw more you get good(watching over making less fault as possible)?
The one about not putting pressure on yourself applies to me so much! I do this with almost every drawing and it makes it really unfun and actually makes me art turn out worse than if I didn’t try at all. I can barely ever finish drawings because of this.
what i did with my prismacolors was press really hard to get a smooth affect. But I realized that its suppose to have a texture. I also feel bad that my drawings dont look good. I tend to compare my drawings to other older people. It's a thing i want to avoid but kind of can't. Now I am trying to focus of anatomy, heads, hands, clothing, ect
she said when she was young that she would feel bad that a drawing took her a long time, for me it was the opposite, i felt bad when i completed a drawing quickly because i felt like 'Since i didn't take a long time on this, i didn't try hard enough..'
I may not be the first comment but im the 100th like. It means im special! YEHEY! BTW, CAN YOU DO REACTION VIDS ON ANIMES? YOUR VOICE IS CUTE, AND TOUR DRAWING STYLE IS SO GOOD. I LOVE IT, I LOVE YOUUUUUU~
im okay at anatomy and i like telling stories so i decided to make a comic with a cast of over 15 distinct characters that all were either main, supporting, or minor characters that all had character sheets. Even though it sounds stupid it forced me to make characters with distinct shillouettes and personallities. (This is not my first time making a story this was just a fun project i decided to do) I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO THIS
I honestly think you should be really proud of yourself. You didn't start drawing until you were 14 and most artists start when they were half that age. That is really impressive.
I liked that art that I do because its my style and some other might not like because it's not there style and the problem that I am having is eyes drawing eyes is a nightmare for me😅
