I tried to go to this spot one day. There was literally I kid you not 30 people fishing this spot. I didn't want to be shoulder to shoulder with people so I left.

If the fish are there, I’ve been successful using power bait, worms and salmon eggs with my split shots 2-3 feet from the bait or on a bobber depending on where you’re fishing. Minijigs and swim baits work too. Be ready to rotate presentation and be mobile to find the schools

Hey man, love your vids! You have so many and they're all quality. Been watching this one because I am going up to Lake Almanor this weekend. Where is the parking area to get to the Hamilton Branch fishing spots? I hope there will be some trout left lingering even though it's hot a heck out.

Thanks for the kind words. You can use google maps to find the lot on the southeastern corner of the bridge. From the lot you can drop down into the eastern shore of the branch or walk across the bridge to fish the western shore. The trout normally don’t come up into Hamilton Branch in big numbers until the lake warms up and they need relief with the cooler water. Let me know how you do or if people are catching. I don’t want to go back too early but this is about the time I went last year.

@@noskunkadventures5035 Yes, I saw your Episode #26 and it was posted end of July, so I'm hoping to have the same type of luck. I'll be bringing everything I can think of - salmon eggs, garlic power bait, mini crawlers, and hopefully can be like you, NoSkunk :)
