Andy doesn't move his mouth at all when playing a wah pedal. He really is a magician
I just put a picture of Owen Wilson on my wah, "wowwww"
EVERYONE does that???? All this time I thought it was a stupid thing only I did, I look like such an idiot when I do that😸
KEVIN from JJ HAT CENTER 🎸HATS & GUITARS ! It’s an expression thing
I have a really self-conscious ‘not-moving-my-face’ face instead and trust me, that’s no better. Must. Not. Move. My. Face.
“Andy’s favourite guitar picks” shortest video ever.
25hourpartypeople Does he use Jazz IIIs?
@@jeffreytam7684 he doesn't use picks

For anyone wondering, the Op-amp Big Muff reissue sounds literally identical to a vintage one.
It also have the tonal bypass bit? That was my favorite sound out if it
@@ethanrummel7638 yes it does it's right under the tone
So apparently they forgot to put the 3 in front of the Epoch Deluxe pricing?
Came here to comment that... Where the fuck are people buying it for $50…? Because I'll take ten
Yeah! I was sitting here going a little crazy wondering why I'd put off getting that pedal if it was so cheap... I guess I'll wait a little longer.
Came to the comments to write the same thing. If it was that cheap I’d have 3 of them. Haha
@@Guitarisforgrins also me
@@Guitarisforgrins Here I was worried that I missed out on some sort of introductory pricing or the management change at the company messed with the parts sourcing or something.
Andy's #2 pick will be the BOSS Metal Zone. His #1 pick will be two stacked BOSS Metal Zones.
Been a big fan of Andy's demos all these years, glad to see he's still rockin. Wish him well and success.
The big muff made my think of the song rusty cage. Damn do I miss Chris Cornell.
RIP
Walter R. “Outshined”. The guy was a genius.
Nothing says 70s like a big muff! You can take that anyway you want.
I wait for Andy's favorite picks video.
Top 1: The invisible one.
I have the Belle Epoch Deluxe!......ur absolutely correct .....best delay and modulation pedal EVER made!!!!!.......tones are insane!!!!.....great vid today!!!......much love n respect!....
Every time I watch one of Andy’s videos on pedals he’s checking out, he always demos them with the tastiest riffs. Dude can play for sure.
Super cool video as always Andy! I've been itching t hey myself one of the Op Amp Fuzz pedals...such a killer, knarley sound! Thanks for sharing dude! 😎🎸
C'mon guys. We all know what Andy's number one is.
The Korg Miku pedal. You know he dreams about being on stage with his favorite Japanese Idol, singing all the greatest hits.
Omg they brought back Andy’s old format. I’m totally geeking out.
Wonderful video, as always, Andy! Thanks!🤘🤘
Predictions for the top two:
Based on their presence on the pedalboard he took onto TPS, and how crazy happy/smiling he looks in the individual videos where he demos them: the Empress Phaser; and the Hamstead Odyssey Drive.
Dear Andy, I go through so many of your Vids sometimes, transfixed , hypnotised, ADHDed out: I forgot to like and comment. I'm sure I'll watch them all again eventually.
@@merrittface Doh! Yer right. I don't have a guitar in the bathroom anymore, I have the phone. I don't wake up with strange guitars, I wake with UA-cam Premium
I love you just found an old 70s muff and it sound killer and by coincidence i saw this video later the same day
my fav pedal ever is the big muff, maybe not the OPamp version specifically, but just the big muff in general, as an abstract concept
That sounds like the guitar from the movie, "The Warriors". I have a Clyde way, but might get one of these as well. Thanks Andy!
My top two bass effect pedals. Ampeg scrdi, mxr bass fuzz deluxe.
Where in the fook did you guys find a Belle epoch Deluxe for $50-99?!
DrrNickk same question here! 😄
Has to be price for standard Belle Epoch, NOT deluxe.
I think they for to put the "3" in front of that number
@@nnamhor not even that one is that cheap lol
This was definitely an error, our apologies! If you know where we can find one for $50-99, we'd love to know... In the meantime, the general cost of the Belle Epoch Deluxe remains in the $280 - $360 range.
Hot damn that muff sounded good with the tone bypass kicked in
Nice man ...... Still have the Ibby Artist ? :) .... My guess the top two are the empress phaser and the Miku
Can't wait for top two.
My guess for top 2 is a uni-vibe and a marshall-style overdrive.
Good call
Sometimes u gotta say F it, and just break out the sunburst..turn the delay up to 10
I’m going to guess the catalinbread dirty little secret Mark III makes the top to list as a Marshall in a box. I’m a proud owner of one since pro-guitar shop was still a thing, and Andy convinced me to buy it.
All your favorite pedals are mine vox wah belle epoch op big muff I was hoping something different but I guess we both have the same taste which is cool
The Belle Epoch and the Echorec by Catalinbread are both magic in a box. There are plenty of great delays, but I haven’t found any that inspire me, or absolutely nail the respective sounds they are going for so perfectly.
P.S. I do like to have a Carbon Copy on the floor for just great, plain old analog delay sounds as well.
@@RaymondGinn1978 I've gone through several, nowadays I go with a plain old DOD from the 80s, so simple and intuitive it's easy to get it to do what I want, which is an issue with these more modern, feature-laden types
My guess for Pt. 2 is Drybell Vibe Machine and Benson Preamp
i'll buy everyone in this community beer if i see andy play with a PICK. love this guy for his originality
Is this a new 50’s standard or a custom shop Gibson? The top looks amazing!
Mine:
Fuzz

Miku
all the fuzzes on after the miku
Can we get an Andy Guitar Masterclass? Please!!
My faves:
Morley Power Wah/Fuzz
EHX Russian Big Muff
Ibanez CF7 Chorus/Flanger
EHX Cathedral Reverb
Marshall Chorus (idk exact name)
My guess:
#2 some high dollar reverb or chorus
#1 Rat 2
That being said, Andy does enjoy his tremolo / vibrato pedals... and unvibe/leslie style effects. Tough call.
Andy, you are an amazing guitarist. When can we get a masterclass in your technique?
He has a video about his picking techniques that came out on youtube about a month ago. Its called andy martins picking technique..
I'm a simple man, I see Andy I click like.
Hoodsonbr if I meet a guitarist and they don’t know who Andy is, the conversation is fucking over
There’s two kinds of guitarists. The first kind watch Andy’s video. The second kind are unbred barbarians that obviously must live in mud huts in the wilderness.
damn straight
Hmm, did wah, delay/echo and fuzz... next week will be some sort of chorus/flange and a either a vibe pedal or a tremolo.
Reverb virtually guaranteed
The Belle Epoch Deluxe is great, except for the lack of a tap tempo (and for that sort of price, maybe MIDI too). It drove me so nuts I ended up selling mine.
"Belle Epoch Deluxe .....$50-99" - what year is that price from, 1974?
Simmer down breath deep ,its just a glitch in the time continuum
@@edadpops1709 No one is upset, it was a joke
Really rad les paul
still waiting for a potent pairings of Steely Dan cos i really wanna hear you recreate the guitar tone in the song Peg
same, cos the one video i found that did it missed the key component in the rig, an MXR Flanger
👏👏👏
Fun fact: just compress the shit out of your guitar; that's what Jay Graydon did!
wow that was spot 5-3?? There must be some modulation in spot one or two!
At 3:00, is that an original riff from Andy or not?
Dude this guy shreds
2-Vibe Machine V2
1-Benson Preamp
What do I win if I'm right ? :)
Doc Johnson vibe? ;oP
I agree with Jonathan, but Andy personally used a VM-1 on his board.
I was totally baited into thinking the first Big Muff demo was Bullet with Butterfly Wings because of course an op-amp BM demo needs a Smashing Pumpkins song
I wonder how many Big Buffs have been sold. I had one back in the seventies.
How do I power one of those Morleys? Do I need a special adapter?
No one has more fun at work than Andy
What are the setting you used on the Echoplex?
Which is the lady with P90 hanging on the wall?
Third song?
Has anyone spend equal time with the belle epoch deluxe, Volante, and the timeline? I’m serious about getting a Volante or belle epoch deluxe!! Just not sure
Same, hardest choice ever! haha
First song?
I love the sound of the Belle Epoch Deluxe. It makes me wish Howard was still with Catalinbread so he might be able to build an Echorec Deluxe...
Jason Hagood HE ISNT?!?! What happened?
I’ve been watching their vids because I love his playing and explanation vids, especially of the DLS and Belle Epoch, So I’ve tied him in with being the face of the company. Really sad to hear he isn’t there anymore :(
@@ZombifyYourself I don't know the whole story, but I heard that Howard and Catalinbread had some kind of falling out and he's no longer there. It's been a couple years I think. I haven't heard where Howard is now or what he's doing, but Catalinbread is still doing ok.
Please tell me where I can get a BED for $50-$99
Obviously a glitch in the universe, no worries.
Sorry for our typo! The Deluxe can usually be found between $275-$359 on Reverb.
It says they belle epoch deluxe is 50 dollars? What planet is that on?
The big muff will always have a place in every guitarists pedal rig.
Emmanuel Alejandro except this one
Toxic Potato u should keep it on
He has some ingredients that might point to the Jimmy Page sound, probably the one from The Song Remais the Same concert. I think that's what he goes for.
Belle epoch is refered as a 50-99 price tag used but they price way up, that is a mistake i think
Sorry for the typo! The Deluxe can usually be found between $275-$359 on Reverb.
Not trolling- Love these videos- but FYI the posted graphic price of the belle epoch deluxe is off by about $250
come on guys it was a mis print
watch em starting at 3:14 , the pick disappears and then it comes back? where did it go?
nasty joe where do you even see a pick? Lol
Andy doesn't use a pick
its retractable, speed of light fast too
What did you do at 8:17? I know it sounded like magic.
Paul Hogue I believe bypass the tone circuit. Could be wrong though.
Paul Hogue That’s the amazing tone bypass!
@@AndyDemos Ah! I couldn't see the switch. Thanks Andy! .

Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! Andy is Lord
Andy - your best demo - Dirty Robot - Gary Numan. They're all good though. And you're a humble bumble aren't you?🌴
Dan Kelsall Thanks, that was a fun one!
One thing I don't like about the Crybaby style wahs is how bad the actual pedal mechanism is.. have you ever tried a dunlop volume pedal? and then compared it to an Ernie ball volume pedal? it's night and day.
Frank B Yeah my Ernie Ball VP pedal sucked because the string broke in less than 3 months, and that was after I thought I noticed it start crackling anyway. I've had my dunlop volume on my board for 2 years. Gears, no flimsy string.
@@atonofspiders try Morley brands. Let me know how you like it
@@atonofspiders you can replace the string with a metal one.. I know it's more likely to break than gears but the action is so much smoother. the range of motion is also better... I am aware that wah pots usually have different knurls on their gear so a string pulley action might not be good enough for the purists.
I know what #1 will be, but #2 has me guessing?
Ok... one will be a Tubescreamer variant (maybe SD1) the other will be a blues breaker variant (or clean boost style like a Timmy).
Anyone else notice the “Ig Muff
WHERE ARE YOU GETTING A BELLE EPOCH DELUXE FOR $50-$99???
Sorry for the typo! The Deluxe can usually be found between $275-$359 on Reverb.
Man, if I don't like wah even when Andy plays it, it really means I don't like wah
Shush I'm listening to this music
Y'all dont like wah because it's cool these days to hate on things if it's over done ...I think that's a lame as fuck fad
@@wesleyalan9179 But it's also an overdone fad to point out on people hating on overdone fads
@@maxwelladair6090 ..no its not... lol, that's dumb!
@@wesleyalan9179 I don't like it because it almost always sucks... Chorus have been abused too but I love it. I'm actually a chorus-junkie.
whose horrible idea was it to NOT include the tone bypass on the 2000s big muff pi reissue?
Could anybody please tell me what the song at 2:55 is please?
Marco Beltran I’m playing all original stuff here, thanks!
AndyDemos Damn. I’m always impressed by your playing man. It’s been years and years and I could hear play for days.
Thanks for taking the time to answer, you rock. You truly are the best in the demo business.
I shit canned my wah wah decades ago. I just wasn't using it anymore. My favorite fuzz that I still own is a Top Fuel from Skreddy. You can't beat the original Carbon Copy for delay, still have one of those. My board right now is pretty scaled down after 37 years of playing: Top Fuel, Saucy Box, a Boss digital delay from the 80's (for U2 stuff), a Carbon Copy, a Boss Compressor from the 80's (the one Gilmour used) and a Blue Hippo Chorus. I seem to get all the sounds I need from these few.
Yeah, where can I find these $50-99 Belle Epoch Deluxe?!?!?!
Jessie Vasser it was false :(
Easy guys , its a typo nothing more
Sorry for the typo! The Deluxe can usually be found between $275-$359 on Reverb.
What is he doing at 8:16?
Tone bypass control
Did the Reverb “R” get bigger?
Did Etsy make them do that?
That wah tho
He's a great player and knows gear, but this list only shows how subjective one's favorite pedals are. It depends on what sound you are going for, your amp selection, how you play, what kind of music are you playing, etc. I'm sure Andy would agree.
37 people suck. Keep rocking Andy! 🤘
hey andy what did you mean by "value" of the pedal? like the BED at $55 to $99US?
Sorry for the typo! The Deluxe can usually be found between $275-$359 on Reverb.
I wonder if they’ll honour that Belle Epoch Deluxe price. 🤪 Usually these videos drive prices up not down. 🤣
King wah is properly named
Good luck stacking the Muff - LOL 😆
I want to know why he doesn't use a pick!????
