This is especially AND significantly useful for in-the-moment notetaking, since our brains overtime can misinterpret information we consume, notion would recall your thoughts exactly like it was initially recorded no matter the moment you would want to recall it.
I definitely agree with you! It's a great app for creating your second brain since you can organize and store them for use later on, pretty easily.

There used to be a program for MacOs called the brain that used mind mapping to put in your information, but it was tedious to categorize and put in the data. When ChatGPT came on the scene one of my questions was can i put in my database of information to generate answers, since my work is very specific. THIS does change everything, now i just need to wait in line.
Notion AI, in my opinion, will change the way we store, organize and create data.
Someday, we will be able to train our them on our database and create AI versions of ourselves that would answer questions in our voice.
Exciting times are ahead.

like extend the reach of information by also including the transcript of (youtube) videos embedded or external URL inside the workspace. like how copilot does when searching the net for answers.

What are terms and agreements for q/a ? Is notion able to see and work my bot as well ? Does this give all my information to notion ?
Amazing vid as usual!! Just curious if you know, but if we don't currently have full access to Notion AI (i'm on student plan) would the Q/A be something I'd need to have Notion AI for or would it be fully available to ppl on the lowest/student plan?
Notion QA comes with notion AI, unfortunately. It's not specifically tied to any of the standard plans so you'd need to have Notion AI.

Notion is a game-changer, really. It's a great app for organizing, optimizing workflow, journaling, data collection, habit tracking, etc - everything under the sun, notion can do (except clean and cook for me).

I haven't started the video yet, and I hope this is where I can manage notion offline...
The potential is huge (and you point that out very well) especially if you really put the quality time and effort in, to make a high quality and personalized second brain (which you also point out very well). What does not convince me, and what you only showed in a very brief and imo not very convincing example, is how well this AI retrieves the information and really serves it to you in highly useful manner. I am sure you broadly know your areas of expertise, no AI really needs to tell you that... So maybe you can show more on what this AI is actually capable of because until then spending all this time on getting the system up and running is only valuable if notion AI can then deliver.

Notion Al protects data privacy and will only interact with and retrieve information from pages that users have permission to view there.
Unauthorised information will be strictly off limits. 🙏🏻

Notion QA comes with Notion AI, so you would need the AI.

Can you guys make a video on taking effective notes with Goodnotes? (Or notability) I keep seeing these “aesthetic notes” and they prevent me from focusing on the source material itself. You guys once did a video on how bad note taking influences learning, so it’s actually just like that video except in depth on digital handwritten note taking.

so I left notion for obsidian because it had more of what I need but now that Q&A system seems like a dream that came true yeah in obsidian you can go back to specific contact by linking and hashtags but when you have over 5k note you won't just go through them one by one so by that I think i'm gonna use notion with obsidian well unless obsidian add the Q&A plugin but I don't see that happening soon
a great short video that had very good information it's amazing how these apps are growing I hope we will be able to see something that make the AI in your note taking app act and give information based on your personality and way of writing.
I agree with you. An AI trained on your brain (the content you put into it) speeds up many things, especially access to personal knowledge and memories!

the thing I want to see in notion is a working offline mode yeah it has offline mode but it's not that great acutely one of the main reasons I switched to obsidian is that it's offline yeah that take the flexibility in group projects, but I don't group that much so it's not that big of a dea

This is just the same with any other AI. The difference is that the usual AI that we have access to caters to all data available online, while the notion Q&A caters specifically your own data and your data usage of the notion app.
That's right! Notion AI can only view and retrieve information from data that you enter and what the user can view (has permission to see on the device)
Any unauthorized data is off limits!

Notion is essentially creating a private LLM, a task many enterprises could accomplish independently. They're directing the AI and machine learning LLM towards the data provided by users. Many enterprise customers could achieve similar results by installing and deploying their own models within their organizations.

There are tons of awesome ways it's making our lives better, from studying (kind of what we are highlighting) to skill acquisition, streamlining tasks productivity, automation in business heck even in writing, medicine, and robotics; It's truly cutting our workload in half and unlocking doors to opportunities we once only dreamed of.
We should highlight these incredible improvements while also stressing the importance of it developing ethically. So, it's really important that we see the whole picture-the good, the bad, and the not-so-great-and then work together to make it better.
Your thoughts and ideas have weight, so let's team up and address the real issues with AI. Together, we can turn it into a force for good, for sure.

I am using Notion, I don’t think its searching is good. While I type a keyword, it doesn’t return a good result, I hope it displays everything with that keyword, but nope.

The majority of its useful features are free, plus its AI has a few free uses that refresh every month, so it's worth exploring 👌🏻.
Every time you take a note, notion would know that. Isn’t it a concerning? That Notion could read all your notes and shares it with the Notion AI. Where is privacy? My first big no no was when I cam to know Notion doesn’t encrypt my notes and anybody who is working at Notion could read my notes.

What happened to Remnote?
We built Remnote as an app for students. Now that we are no longer students, we use Notion because it also allows us to run our entire business in it. There are things that Notion can do that Remnote can't and vice-versa.
We are doomed.

Depends on how you use it or abuse it. If you lean on it too much, you might get lazy. But if you use it to get better at things, it helps you grow.

Let's not kid ourselves. There is a ton of unoriginal, human-generated content on UA-cam already. As a confirmed UA-cam addict, I consider less than 1% of the channels produce any worthwhile content at all. As for Notion, it sounds promising but I'll believe it when I see it in production
