I dont have a mindset that i am not worthy or capable of doing that task, i have a mindset that im just too good and i can do anything. It goes like "yeah i could've aced it if i tried" and its actually true, i wouldve aced it if i actually tried but i just didn't understand how to hardwork because everything was very easy at the start, I was at top and i understood concepts quicker than my classmates because i might be gifted. I aced my exams when i didnt even practiced additional things said by my teacher. I got to the top, exceed hardworking students who just couldn't compete with me. Now when i look at them, they have learnt a thing that i have not, that is how to do hardwork. Im really lazy to put my high IQ to use. Their grades might have remained constant, but mine have fallen. I was above them and now im below. That's the really bad thing about gifted kids like me who grasp concepts quicker than average person. We dont know how to hard work and we are just lazy when things actually gets hard!
I tried to image my average friend's perspective and my perspective:
*Day 1-30:*
me: Classes are going very well! i dont even have to look up at my notes and i can do any question and ace my exams easily! I feel like im really great and special in my class of noobies!
friend: Its just start of this grade and im feeling left behind. Im doing questions and everything my teacher told me to do but im not able to compete with my friend... he's just really good and he might study all day lol, maybe ill try put in effort like he does (he doesnt).
*Last day:*
me: bruh, my average friend is getting above me? my performance graph is also showing negative slope! Nah i can beat him any time, he's just average and im omnipotent. I can be at top again if i tried!
friend: My grades are consistent, I was getting 50/100 and he was getting 95/100 but now at the end of the grade, im at 60/100 and he is 14/100, wait what? He is having downfall? I just learnt to hardwork everyday and it improved my grade by 10. I tried to be consistent but i dont know what happened to him?
This is the demise of us gifted students, we never learnt to do hardwork. We never tried to be consistent because it was very easy at start, but when we faced real challenges, my friend who learnt to face it from the start faced it and i was left behind. YOU HAVE TO GUIDE US GIFTED CHILDREN.
Mindsets
1. You are NOT special 0:50
2. Watching a lecture doesn't mean you learned it ( 2hrs practice for 1hr of lecture watched ) 2:05
3. Studying and learning are not the same thing 2:51
4. Your grades are not going to change in a week 3:46
5. It takes 20hrs to get good enough at a skill for it to be usefull and to enjoy what we are learning. 4:49

@@CajunKoiAcademy well I have a question in the video you said that it takes time to get used to studying and improving grades , well I was a good student used to study almost every day and I was literally enjoying that feeling of getting everydays homework done within 2-3 hrs but now I cannot even study for 1 hour even if I take a break how long would it take me to get back will it take years ?
@amnasyed1173 The thing is back when you were young, education was a lot easier, there weren't much pressure on you and no responsibilities of an adult were there on you but as you grow and you climb the education ladder, things become harder and harder, not to mention pressures mount and time to achieve and be something starts to shrink till you feel like you've cornered yourself to the wall.
The meaning behind my mini story is that it is normal. You can't go back to your original regular energy because you are older now. Build a better, newer version thats adapted to the newer demands.

Many of the people struggle through it but there is a thing that a person with this type of mind set a person fixed the mindset and lack of emotions start which are so important for an alert
watching your videos makes it possible for students like me to gain a cheat code to catch up with the geniuses in our class. Hope that this semester I'll be on top too. I'll share it here once I've fulfilled it. :)

I have bad luck I came to know about learn how to learn a few weeks ago and realised that sittimg lectures and completing my notes will help me achieve a high rank in JEE but I don't have the time to relearn everything since I need to score in board exams to get above 75% to clear the criteria for JEE I thought I was way ahead of everyone but I am way back from truly intetlegent people.
But you found out now! You've started your journey! I am proud of you for taking the initiative.

Would you be able to go over schools in general?
Make a comparison between countries and cultures. Often the U.S. is seen as way behind and others are more proficient. Do little things like taking ownership help? Such as cleaning your classroom and cafeterias? I think itd be neat to go in depth with this. I do want my daughter to help out around her school.

I am basically struggling with so many organic reactions and conversation of organic compounds into one another.
The primary reason for that are
A large number of reactions,
Use of different reagents, catalysts and solvents in different cases
And also I need help to cope up with the pressure and "overcome the daunting feeling I get from this subject".

Am gng to use this mindset my syallbus for entrance exam is 97 chapters maths physics chemistry from thaat i selected 75 to learn from thjs 75 chapter i can score 100+marks out of 160 since only 15 days left i don't know anything today Tomorrow am gng to understand this make short notes learn how to solve problems and in phy chem too today 25 26 27 i will use this technique of 20 hrs studying and complete the syallbus next remaining days i will solve questions from previous years and give moxktests and revise daily hope i succeed no i will bec its in my own hands i just have to work hard oh i get to work hard and study its not most difficult thiñg in world i will do this i got this.

not really. A higher IQ might mean some edge in grades over others, but its not necessarily the only way.

@@CajunKoiAcademy The most interesting thing that China does in my opinion is the perseverance they have when it comes to dedicating hours and hours to their studies and how they are capable of sacrificing everything to be able to go to a good university (this is a product of the pressure exerted by their parents). but only memorizing and memorizing; devoting 16 hours a day to studying in order to take the dreaded exam called gaokao

@@CajunKoiAcademy well I've used your channel for years now and was able to get my BA and I'm currently obtaining my MA. The biggest difference that I find is the time it takes to "comprehend" material. Living with a learning disability my reading comprehension is only at 23% so it does take more time. I bought the iPad and use Good Notes as recommended in your other video which is a 💯% improvement but living with an atypical brain and reading books developed from a "typical" brain everything is backwards and needs to be recognized.
@@CajunKoiAcademy I work in the clinical mental health field and the largest population seeking "accessibilities" in college are neurodivergents. I personally would have never been able to graduate without your channel and I'm forever grateful to you guys from my success. I find it would be helpful to focus more on learning strategies for people that live with dyslexia, adhd, and other learning disabilities because we are special and outside of the norm distribution. Lol and that's science 🤓
