Pan, thanks for the information (learn something new every day!). Here is an important extra tip. Tip # 21: Do not wear anything that can scratch various parts of the car. Over the years, I’ve had the following items accidentally scratch the car while not washing/detailing my cars: watches, rings, bracelets, belts with metal buckles, pocket knives with exposed metal belt clips (worst offender), anything in general that has hard sharp edges. Pan you are the man! Because of your tutorial UA-cam videos I have just completed a total exterior detail of my newly purchased previously owned vehicle which was not maintained at all. You gave me the confidence to do the two step paint correction and ceramic coating to the vehicle. I purchased everything from the Max Shine M-15 DA Polisher to all of the polishes and brushes I used from the links in your tutorial videos. I wanted you to have the commission since you turned me on to the products and techniques. My vehicle now looks like it could be entered into an auto show. It looks great and is now sitting in the garage for the rest of the week after applying the ceramic coating. I followed your tips and techniques and achieved probably what would be a thousand US dollar (or more) detail and paint correction and paint protection that just blows my mind. Anyone who watches your tutorials and has the passion to have a show room quality auto will have the confidence to achieve the results that I have. You have motivated me to get out there and give it a try. Everything I experienced you already gave me the answers on what to do and what not do to get the results I wanted. You have an exceptional delivery and well organized thought process that is easy to follow. I give you kudos and wish you much success. Thank you from a guy in the US south with an awesome shiny, well protected vehicle. The interior is next on the list. Keep it Tight and Keep it Clean! I am going to have to order one of those T-shirts now because I gotta look the part and keep motivated :)

On tip number 8 i suggest for those who follow your steps literally. First to open a bit the window and clean the edge, after that close up, and clean all the window. This way they will avoid double work on getting the window wet again because water in the door after finish with washing. We all know that annoying opening on window after it's been washed out and polished to perfection.

I follow most of the advice here but the tip about drying microfibers inside not outside makes so much sense when I think about it but I recently spoke to a professional and he advised one wash and after 2nd use bin it. There is always more to learn in this hobby. Thanks.
I don't really understand what you were trying to say here John. But regardless, I wash my microfiber towels and mitts after each use. I like to work with clean towels. And I made a highly popular microfiber cleaning tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/t_ryfGlkE9I/v-deo.html And I dry my towels in the dryer, but on "air fluff" setting meaning no heat. Never use high heat when drying towels. The advice of letting towels air dry inside the home, is for those who don't have a dryer. If you have to hang dry your towels, it's best to have them hang dry inside your house. If you use common sense, you will notice that letting them air dry outside your house will have all the dust and air pollutants go directly in the fibers of your towel. Not a smart thing to do. But you are free to do as you wish of course, we live in free countries. :)
@@PanTheOrganizer Sorry if I was not clear I was agreeing with you re the fact if I dry outside as I have been doing dust could blow into them on the outside line. I will be indoor drying from now on. The detailer told me that he only uses his cloth's twice then either use on wheels or in the bin but maybe that is only body shops using them on high end cars. I value any tips and tricks that you pass onto us that watch the content that you put on you tube for free. Thanks.
The only towels we throw away are those used to remove ceramic coatings. For the rest, if cleaned properly and frequently, there is absolutely no need to throw them away. And this is after discussing with actual microfiber towels producers in the detailing industry, including the biggest ones from The Rag Company. They are known worldwide for their quality microfibers. Same goes for Microfiber Madness, and Auto Fiber and Luxury Microfiber. I made a series of videos with the experts at The Rag Company to demystify everything about microfiber towels. Super interesting. Check out part 1 here: ua-cam.com/video/6dy5PbjT1Cw/v-deo.html

Thank you Pan for the wealth of information you share on your channel! Finally in my late 40’s I’ve decided to do what I love and start detailing as a side gig. You’ve been super helpful in helping me learn new techniques and also in planning out my equipment purchases/upgrades! Keep up the great work!!
Always great videos Pan. Can you please comment on all these chemicals on a stained driveways and surrounding grass? Are these chemicals harmful to them? Appreciated.
Pan, I just got my very first C7 Corvette; my dream car since I was in college, now I am retired and 71 yrs. old, and wanted to make sure not to screw up the paint. I've learned so much from you. Thank very much and God bless you. Stay healthy.

Hey Pan! Love your videos! For tip #18 you talked about drive thru and touchless car washes using high pH soaps than can strip your paint protection and clear coat. What are your thoughts on the self serve car wash bays? I live in a apartment and don't have access to a garden hose outlet. Thanks!!
Just to clarify. I live in a snowy climate. Went with Jess car and collinite (favorite). I believe your advice is to let some salt and crap build up until you hand wash and Not go through auto wash. Thanks for your guidance. Keep up the videos!
Well I grew up in Detroit. Dad in car industry. Learned a lot from dad. Then books. And then UA-cam. Found you by “accident “ and really enjoy them! Especially as I have tried tons of products. So I appreciate your reviews and ratings

@@PanTheOrganizer I’ve been geeking out on car vids after getting an M140i last week. I guess the UA-cam algorithms are doing their thing. Ps. I’m in the UK.
Hey Pan, i appreciate all the videos you make. You persuaded me to buy many products (that work amazingly) including the Adam's Mega Foam and P&S Brake buster wheel cleaner which i use almost all the time. I currently use the 2 (3 including wheels) bucket method to wash my cars and am thinking of buying a foam cannon to aid the process for pre washing. I recently re watched the battle between the foam cannons video and that made me wonder, will you possibly be making a video dedicated to showing some good pressure washers available on the market? I looked at many of them online with various price ranges (looking for one around the $100-200 range) and it's hard to decide which ones are good for car washing. If not, do you have any recommendations on some nozzles to use with garden hoses? Keep up the awesome content!!!
Thanks for your support! In the 200$ price range, hands down my choice would go for a Karcher pressure washer. I have owned two Karcher K5 (one of them for over 10 years and it was still going like new) before I got my higher end 1200$ Kranzle 1122TST unit. For garden hoses and sprayers, I love Eley Hose Reels. The last garden hose you'll ever need. I have a 50 foot Eley Hose Reels polyurethane garden hose, Eley Hose Reels hose reel, plus their professional sprayer nozzle.
Pan could you do a video on getting tuff stains out of a head liner. I just bought a used jeep and they detailed everything but that. Also love the vids keep them up and would love more tips and tricks.
See the Hagerty written article about the new paint for a Mazda MX-5 Miata, to get off to a good start with the paint. I have found that PB Blaster penetrating oil spray after washing, rubbed in with a microfiber cloth works sort of like a clay bar.
Yo love washing my car. People always telling me to start my car detailing business. I enjoyed your video. Very useful tips for me. What’s the best pressure washer to use for car detailing jobs? I’m talking about psi in general.
Anything between 1000-2000 psi if perfect for washing cars. I don’t recommend going over 2000 psi. If you want the BEST pressure washer (those are the words you used) watch my video: ua-cam.com/video/Cj4FDpKuORI/v-deo.html

Just got a promotion to detail from lot attendant at my job I haven’t been too bad but I’m getting there all my cars have been sent back for tiny things like smudges and dirt between the seat and center console this video helped a bit
Your advice to not use powdered detergent is spot on. Detergents are sold by weight. 2 # box, etc. The actual detergent itself is very light. Believe it or not, manufacturers add (or at least used to add) white sand to the detergent to obtain desired weight. I used to wonder why there was a white residue left in the cuffs of my jeans that didn’t dissolve when I was a kid. Now you know. Also, the sand gets into the bearings in the water pumps in your washer and eat up seals destroying the pump
Great video Pan!! Any idea what a good product would be to put onto my polished wheels during the winter months as the salt and dirt love to Pitt the wheels? Thank you
Awesome video thank you for all the great content Pan! I’m fairly new to the channel but I’ve been binge watching lmao, and it’s becoming my fav detailing channel on UA-cam! Hey Pan!! Love your content, very easy to follow for someone who is just becoming interested in taking better care of their vehicle... can you do a list of your favorite products for each step in the detailing process? I’m trying to gather as much info and good products before I undertake my first go at my Grand Cherokee Overland. I don’t want to get part way through and realize I’m missing a product or a step. Thanks so much!! Also love that you are in tune with the harsh Canadian weather (East Coaster here 🙋🏼♀️🇨🇦)
Thanks! I would use a microfiber pad on an extension pole (Microfiber Madness has a great one) to clean and pressure wash. If it needs UV protection and a bit of restoration I'd apply CarPro PERL diluted 3:1 for exterior plastics and bingo bango. Of course it all depends on the state of the pickup bed.
As water is one of our main natural resources here in Canada, we mainly do traditional washes with water. We don't really use steam to clean cars, so I haven't tried that.
Thanks! It was an awesome journey to get to this point (and 44 million views along the way) and I say we're still only getting started! I love sharing my passions with you guys!

@@PanTheOrganizer Being a geek and checking out many different videos lol. I've watched 100s of detailing videos. Have always had an interest. Started with changing oil on UA-cam. To many different mechanical troubleshooting and small engine work. To basics of washing your car to slowly learning more about better cleaning methods. Going to start investing into detailing tools. :D thx
Great info Pan, you should do a weekly tip.
Thanks Mike! If that gets requested a lot, I'll look into it for sure.
Pan TheOrganizer yes!!!
When will we get to see another detail? Tips and tricks are cool but the actual detailing is so satisfying.
Spring is coming quickly so I'll be working on a few of those. And a few surprises too! Stay tuned for sure. :)

Believe me Pan.. UA-cam's caption often translates "Paan the organizer" as Panty organizer 😂

And I made a highly popular microfiber cleaning tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/t_ryfGlkE9I/v-deo.html
And I dry my towels in the dryer, but on "air fluff" setting meaning no heat.

Hey Pan! Love your videos! For tip #18 you talked about drive thru and touchless car washes using high pH soaps than can strip your paint protection and clear coat. What are your thoughts on the self serve car wash bays? I live in a apartment and don't have access to a garden hose outlet. Thanks!!
Those are fine as long as you use your own buckets and quality car shampoo.

@@PanTheOrganizer I’ve been geeking out on car vids after getting an M140i last week. I guess the UA-cam algorithms are doing their thing.

Hi. With your videos, keeping my car clean has become easier. Thank you for your advice and tips & tricks.
You are so welcome! What's your favourite video on my channel so far Jorge?
Pan TheOrganizer my favorite is the one in your new house. It has a dream garage for detailing.
🙌🏻👍🏻
Funny intro!!!! Thank you for the awesome tips. Keep them coming.
Hehehe thanks! Glad you enjoyed the intro!

See the Hagerty written article about the new paint for a Mazda MX-5 Miata, to get off to a good start with the paint. I have found that PB Blaster penetrating oil spray after washing, rubbed in with a microfiber cloth works sort of like a clay bar.

I actually have a tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/2fOEaNOGTFI/v-deo.html
Great mate!. Tip#6 should be #1 🤣🤣
😂👍🏻
Your advice to not use powdered detergent is spot on. Detergents are sold by weight. 2 # box, etc. The actual detergent itself is very light. Believe it or not, manufacturers add (or at least used to add) white sand to the detergent to obtain desired weight. I used to wonder why there was a white residue left in the cuffs of my jeans that didn’t dissolve when I was a kid. Now you know.
Also, the sand gets into the bearings in the water pumps in your washer and eat up seals destroying the pump
Thanks for sharing!!
Great video Pan!! Any idea what a good product would be to put onto my polished wheels during the winter months as the salt and dirt love to Pitt the wheels?
Thank you

Pan the Man!!! awesome tips on detailing ...How would you detail a pickup bed on a truck ?
Great tips thank you pan, please share your insights on steam car wash (exterior)
As water is one of our main natural resources here in Canada, we mainly do traditional washes with water. We don't really use steam to clean cars, so I haven't tried that.
