I only play lottery with it's real high and never spend over 4 or 5 dollars. And only do it one or two times a year. Not every time it's high it's the same way with scratch off i buy one or two a year just for fun. If I win I get my money back I don't take it up there and get another one.

Back in my youth living on the street, I found two 20$ winners in a row. And another time I found a 50$ winner. Make sure to scratch those chances clean. My luckiest win and the only time I actually gambled is at pull tabs. I cleaned two machines out at 500$ total with only thirty 2$ tabs. It was my 21st birthday and had been to so many bars for free drinks that is all I remember from that night. Never played again. Life is already a gamble so I thought to save it for crossing the street. But in the end, wish I had gambled more and got run over by a truck. Would beet where I ended up in life.

In Virginia the scratch tickets have little letters next to the barcode under the scratch area so you can just scratch the barcode and see if you won instead of having to actually play the games to see if you won. Saves a lot of scratching

Well a guy at a convenient store i go to won $10,000 about 2 weeks ago on a $30 ticket. So yeah it can happen and does happen! You only live once. But, unless there's a BIG winner in it, you will lose at least 30-50% of your investment. I'll never do that again. However, I did have fun doing it. Those tickets are so watered down with "Try Again." But the temptation is so overwhelming, especially if you think that winner could be the one you haven't bought. I only buy the Bingo tickets. It takes a while to get through it, and it goes perfectly with a beer, on the porch, after work. I saw a documentary about how those tickets are produced. Warehouses of spools, bigger than my apartment. Huge. It's a pretty cool show, that takes you from design, to the store. Lottery headquarters are like Fort Knox.
Or you could have gone on etrade and bought $80 worth of S&P SPIDR. That way you can go on being a winner and a looser for years, depending on how the Fed is rigging the market this week. .
You can also buy your tickets from machines at supermarkets or walgreens, cvs you might get more winners....maybe. Do you ever check your state's lottery web page it shows all your scratch off tickets and here in NC they keep the page updated to show how many top prizes are left on each ticket. It will show how many top prizes are left on whatever group of tickets you buy. Not all tickets have top prizes left but if you're satisfied with any prize I guess it doesn't matter. They also distribute new tickets the first of every month with different prize amounts here. Good luck....... cheers :)
Hello, yes we do check the website often, plus we order full reports to see how many of each prize is left on them, it does not cost anything too. We usually like to buy certain numbers on the roll so we dont buy many out of the machines,, because you cannot tell what number they are on, some states machines do display the number of the roll its on. Hate to see anyone spending their rent money. We've got a few characters around town who sit in their cars,
scratching away, for hours at a time. In and out, In and out, In and out. Damn. One time, I went in on an entire
pack with a few friends. $5 ticket pack. Usually I stay far away from any scratcher temptation. I figured,
what the hell. You only live once. But, unless there's a BIG winner in it, you will lose at least 30-50% of your
investment. I'll never do that again. However, I did have fun doing it. Those tickets are so watered down with
"Try Again." But the temptation is so overwhelming, especially if you think that winner could be the one you
haven't bought. I only buy the Bingo tickets. It takes a while to get through it, and it goes perfectly with a beer,
on the porch, after work.
I saw a documentary about how those tickets are produced.
Warehouses of spools, bigger than my apartment. Huge.
It's a pretty cool show, that takes you from design, to the store.

You can also buy your tickets from machines at supermarkets or walgreens, cvs you might get more winners....maybe. Do you ever check your state's lottery web page it shows all your scratch off tickets and here in NC they keep the page updated to show how many top prizes are left on each ticket. It will show how many top prizes are left on whatever group of tickets you buy. Not all tickets have top prizes left but if you're satisfied with any prize I guess it doesn't matter. They also distribute new tickets the first of every month with different prize amounts here. Good luck....... cheers :)
Hello, yes we do check the website often, plus we order full reports to see how many of each prize is left on them, it does not cost anything too. We usually like to buy certain numbers on the roll so we dont buy many out of the machines,, because you cannot tell what number they are on, some states machines do display the number of the roll its on. I was in line behind a lady at gas station. I was in a huge hurry and this lady would buy 1 scratch off, scratch it, lose, and buy another while 4 people were standing in line. I finally said something and she flipped the hell out on me. People have no respect anymore. This went on until she won but she also had to buy 6 20$ tickets lol

I work in a convenience store and if a customer tries that I ask them to move. If they say but I'm gonna get another i tell them they need to buy them all at once or get back in line as it's a different transaction

I bought 5/$20 tickets and 4/$10 tickets for our family Christmas gathering. They were all a bust. Well my husband did win $20 on his and then in the chaos of all the mess of wrapping paper his ticket got tossed in the trash. We did dump a 60 gallon bag of wrapping paper and boxes and finally located his ticket. My kids loved doing it and I plan on doing it next year but think I will pass on the holiday tickets.

My father plays scratch off and he came up with a good system that allows him to make $80, $100 or even sometimes $600.
He loses sometimes like the guy in the video, but he has a small amount set aside to play his scratch off so it is not a big deal.
