I support your argument brother.Your cars include vehicle services for every 15000 kilometres,which you complete in less than 2months of driving work,fuel costs at 10litres for less than 120kilometres,seats damage,vehicle cleaning at R200 twice a week,brakes,shocks and tyres at less than 12 months usage,life risk and less commission.Owners and drivers must be involved in price negotiations.
Firstly e-hailing clients are not very safe from drivers either! Number 1 is to confront all network services providers (mtn, cell c, vodacom) etc to shut down all pre-ricard simcards on the streets so that nobody can use an untraceable simcard. A simcard becomes a customer's ID once Ricard. Also bolt, Uber must put a pin code so clients can protect their profiles n bank details.

Lol I can guarantee you it won't be nationwide. South Africa is still in the dark ages when it comes to ehailing. Most cars don't even have a single dashcam. The system is easily bypassed when regular customers just call the driver directly.
As a driver my cell phone was taken by a passager special cash payments we can't track them ,we need improvement comes identify passengers. Our safety comes first.
While I agree drivers need increased pay and a lot can be done to increase safety, I can't imagine having to give a private company my ID and a facial scan.

So how will inconveniencing the ppl that are you CLIENTS help in getting that right and by the way why we have so many ppl leading drivers without proper elections and consent from every driver.. Thats why it says security code, so whats so secure about it if it can be shared with some random idiot on some app? Go ahead right now and share your card number and cvv and see how much you will have left. Before reaponding, google "Are merchants allowed to store CVV?"

E-hailing is a taxi. It is a semi-anonymous transport. I agree with you there of not providing such details.

Some E hailing drivers i know of have unfortunately had their vehicles hijacked by clients using fake profiles ..
