It’s very refreshing to see a guy talking calmly explaining things in a normal fashion compared to the dine a dozen hyper excited fake personalities these days. Nice job
Completely agree.
Dude SERIOUSLY… All the over animated “ meme edit “ videos flooded with nonsensical bullshit and like 10% actual information 🙄 It’s unbelievable how trend thirsty this world has become, I miss the days of true intellectuals and leaders 😩
That’s why I just subbed.
@@SadTown99 I could not have said it better myself man!

“It’s kinda ass” when referring to the Instagram time lapse was the deciding factor for me subscribing 😂
I was hoping someone would appreciate the honest opinion lol
Yoo, I second that lol. Just subscribed
Already subscribed but Andy is real and love it
lmaooo i literally did the same thing
Same
3:50 3 piece special
4:50 hyperlapse

@@whyamisocold9645 what i was thinking😭😭😭
i always wanted to vlog but not be the common vlogger who shows his own face the entire time being super excited. I want my vlogs to feel like short films. Cinevlogging if you will. Showing the audience what you are doing and what you are experiencing instead of just talking about it. These tips are a great start for me, thanks!
Excellent, Andy. Clear, simple, thorough. Makes us feel we can actually do it.
(Love to see how you grade a cinematic look when native camera bakes in sharpness, contrast, color, etc.)
That MOMENT course is one of the best filmmaking classes I've taken.
Best tip-using the native camera app. We get too caught up in apps and equipment that we forget to capture the moment.
Thanks again, Andy!
Daniel Ng is it worth it, should I take it too
Louis Luzuka For sure! I'm fortunate to have different cameras, but my go-to is my iPhone. I keep revisiting Andy’s Moment course and absorbing something new every time.
Daniel Ng same here. I’ve gone back to watch his course many times. I’m curious how he color grades after using the native camera app tho
Garrett Killian yeah his colours are so nice..
@@killsyproductions I think it's the basic order of operations - white balance, balance exposure, create the look. Andy has his own flavors and unique style. It's good stuff!
Thank you always for generously sharing your experience and practical tips we can do with or without fancy gear. I also appreciate how you're always taking in to consideration that not everyone has a huge budget. Lastly, as a Disneyland nerd, I loved seeing the fireworks over the castle on the way out. Thank you! Thank you!
The three piece tip is a memorable one, and will put it to practice. Looking forward to future videos from you - love to see more workflow edits tutorials as I know you use Final Cut Pro X for editing!
So great Andy!
Yes. Thx andy
I appreciate Andy sooo much
I use a mobile phone in making videos and to shoot photos in my channel and so surprised that a pro like you also use the native app. Your tips are pure gold! Subscribed!
Dudeeee you should definitely create more of these man! My fav tip would be the 3 piece special which I also use. Would actually love to see more behind the scenes clips on how you create a scene and then bring them into editing. Cheers!
Yes please do some behind the scenes tips on how you create a scene and bring it into editing if you haven’t already! Loved this video. Subscribed right away Andy! 👌
I’m wanting to start my own UA-cam channel about “a day in the life of another drug addicted prostitute” … or something of the like. I don’t know if there’s anything out there like this but it is my life. And shows like “Cops” “Scared Straight” “Intervention” have all been big hits. It’s odd how people will 9/10 only shoot or post pics of how great life is. But seeing the other side, educating people, so they don’t get interested in drugs because I have yet to see anyone come off fentanyl. I’ve had close friends die of overdoses, or weird infections. And how we would do anything to just get our next hit when we’re dope sick. I’ve seen the most beautiful girls develop mental issues that break them so much that they literally aren’t, and will never be, the same person they were ever again…
Anyways! Thanks again Andy for the tips 🙏 and my favourite one personally was #5, following someone from behind through the city, forest, beach, etc. Is just such an amazing look and I hope I can get that in my Vids when I start!
Same
That was so helpful, I was at the park today trying to figure out how to come up with different shots but you can’t go wrong just gotta find some unique perspectives ! Love from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you so much for these tips Andy
You’re work really inspired me to look at my surroundings In a cinematic way😃😃
Real value! Can't believe this is for free, thanks man! Like how you are working from principles (creativity, changing perspectives) and chill way of presenting.
Yo, I found your channel yesterday due to a shoutout from daniel sheffer on the BWNC podcast. Have binged through your stuff and was immediately hooked.
What a great surprise to wake up and find a new video drop! Love the behind the scenes and peeks into your workflow/ setup. Keep up the great work!
Really loved this instruction, calm, conscious of our limited budgets, and all about the creativity and realizing vision of the videographer. Thank you so much.
My favorite accessories for that bit of extra in photo and video from the native app is a diffusion filter (I can honestly recommend Black Pro Mist or new Moment Cinebloom), attached to the 37mm Moment filter mount via step up ring. It softens the image quality and gives it a surreal, or depending on the strength, an ethereal and dreamy type of vibe.
But my main reason is the halation. Light blooms and swells around your subject based on your strength of choice and controlling exposure in the camera app.
I hope this tip helps someone out there.

You are just amazing, you actually deserve millions of subscribers according to your creativity. Even though we try to intimidate your cinematography style we were no where be around your level 🔥Keep working and keep teaching us❤️
I shoot by iphone11 too. Thx man! So inspirations
Love this man! I don’t even own a camera. Just my iPhone 11. I’ve been practicing a lot and it’s continuing to improve. This definitely helped👍 thank you🙌
Bro, I love these content!
You deserve more subs than what you've! hopefully soon!!!
You are amazing. I’m adding snippets into my packages now and this helps me so much! I learned a lot and thank you
Simple , clear explanations and very useful informations for beginner videographers. Thank you Andy, especially for not trying to sell us some useless apps, instead you support for the native software of phones.
The footage is so beautiful. It really goes to show that beautiful camera is less about the price point of the tool and more about the talent behind it
My fave videography tips on yt! Your shots look amazing!
This inspires me to shoot in mobile in most cases! Thank you learned a lot from this!
I’m happy he explained about the native camera app. I see a lot of videos saying to purchase filmic pro or something.
Thanks for the details! I’ve been wanting a expensive camera to shoot videos but you’ve motivated me to shoot with my iPhone X. Keep up the content!
Here comes the tutorial. Thank you for your inspiration. I've made a lot of funs with my iPhone (without a gimbal). The result was better than my expectation compared to my GoPro. Of course, I like my GoPro but I find it easy to get things done with only a handphone. The strong point for taking video with the handphone is literally the focus and exposure lock mode that you can't find in GoPro.
Are you able to share how you color grade it to make it more cinematic in your videos? Especially when you are using native camera app and HDR already. Thank you for this! It's so awesome.
I recently got into mobile videography and this is the best tips video I’ve seen. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate it.
Hi Andy, thank you for being an inspiration and this has made me want to take mobile film making more seriously! SO TRUE with what you said about native app being so powerful and dont think too much into it, get the shot!

These are great tips. Really appreciate you sharing them. I got the DJI Os Mobile 3 gimbal earlier this year and have been using the DJI app when filming, but I will definitely use the native camera now after your suggestion. I thought I would need to use the DJI app for stabilization, especially when following a subject, but I guess that's not the case? I'm still a newbie with filming. Videos like yours are motivating. Again, thank you for sharing your skills/knowledge.
so someone who's just getting into things this was such a reassuring video, thanks so much!
You are a spectacular teacher. Thank you very much.
