Congrats on all your progress! I started Mounjaro about 3 weeks after you, with basically the same starting weight and same height! I’ve lost about half of what you have (17.5 lbs down). So being the same starting size/shape as you, I find your videos very relatable. Also very relatable is how you describe being shocked by the quick and relatively easy weight loss, and how difficult it was to lose weight your whole life, I feel that to my core, it’s just always been a struggle. I’d love to see the video ideas you mentioned, specifically the exercise videos because I need strength training workout ideas, also the clothing haul try-on videos. ☺️
Hello 🥰 thank you so much! I think for a lot of us we hadn’t really realised how much we are disadvantaged when it comes to our bodies working effectively at losing fat so when you use a tool like mounjaro and all the things that are supposed to work start working it is very surprising! Will be uploading an exercise video for sure and a clothing haul too. Thank you so much for being here ❤️
Brilliant- well done on your continuing success 🥳 🎉 I also have PCOS and weight loss was impossible before this medication. I really like your attitude of not rushing to get the weight off going forward. It’s so easy to slip back into my ‘desperation’ mindset: I used to desperately try to lose weight with the gnawing anxiety I would pile it all back on again. With Mounjaro it’s different - I can relax a bit as this time I know it will stay off. Slow and steady is the way 👍🏽 Yes, please do an exercise video: what resistance training are you doing? What weights, how many reps etc. I’m lost re weights! Also how are you measuring your body fat percentage?
Hi Ruth thank you so much! Yes I was very much like that in the beginning - if the scale didn’t move for a few days and if it fluctuated up I was so scared that the mounajro wasn’t working but that has all gone away with time. This medicine does work and it’s working so well for me I’m so grateful so I’m definitely not in a rush to lose as fast as I can! Will definitely be uploading my exercise regime video, will maybe do one each month as planning on switching up the regime every month so it doesn’t get stale. For the body fat percentage I bought a scale that measures it all for you, I’ll add a link here for you. Or I believe some GP’s have them or the local gym might have one! Ah what an uplifting video, thank you! I’m on my 2nd week, on 2.5mg, and I’ve not noticed any effects of Mounjaro at all yet. I’ve been focusing on both resistance & cardio exercises regularly throughout the week and high protein meals all the same. So hearing your successes (including NSVs) keeps me buoyed up and encouraged whilst I count down the days until I start 5mg. I have a long way to go but I’m enjoying feeling healthier and suffering less pain in my knees. But the weight loss battle is still very real for me currently. I love what we can see of your clothes in these vlogs and often wonder where your gorgeous tops come from? I’d love it if you could mention that, and I’m looking forwards to your clothes haul, although I’m 5’8” so it might not help even if I knew where yours come from. Would love weekly updates, meals, workouts, etc. But you do have your hands very full so I’ll be happy with whatever you can put out, when. Take care x
Thank you so much for your lovely comment and thank you being here with me 🥰 I’m so happy that you are liking my videos! I think NSV’s are so important and sometimes the end goal seems so far away that it’s nice to remind ourselves of where we started and what has changed. Thank you! I buy a lot of my clothes second hand on Vinted but if I do buy them new I like to buy from Lucy and Yak. They are a little pricey but they are ethically sourced and very high quality - I’ve had some pieces for years! Thanks again for your comment and for being here ❤️
So happy for you 🎉🎉🎉 You are truly an inspiration and I love that you do it in “real life” videos ❤ You do look lovely, healthy and well 🥰 I am trying to keep to the same life changes on my journey as well!!!
Completely get what you’re saying at 7:12- I’m living in baggy t-shirts now, even though I’m 43lb’s down, size 14 jeans are too baggy but I cannot show my body at all right now, everything has to be baggy. ❤
The watermelon dress is so pretty on you! But I curse you for reminding me of that designer, because now I must have the banana dress!!!! (Or the strawberry dress in black!) 😆
I know 😭 they are so so pretty! I’m actually quite relieved I didn’t wear it because it’s quite heavy and warm and the wedding was on that super warm Saturday so I would have melted 🫠 If you love that dress you must check out Rachel Massey here on UA-cam, she made a Halloween version with bats and it’s so pretty it makes me want to cry 😂 Thank you so much for being here ❤️
Well done Kirsty on your amazing weight loss again this week!! 🤩🤩 everything you said about Mounjaro being a gift has really resonated with me having struggled with my weight for years. It feels like a weight has been lifted knowing that there is this medication should I ever need it again on the future which I’m sure I will at some point. I would really love to hear to hear about what sort of foods you are eating in a day and if you are tracking calories etc just to give me more of an idea to maximise weight loss. Also wanted to ask if after you did the 4 weeks at 3.75mg did you then do 4 weeks at 5mg? Apologies if you have said in your last video. Hope you have another great week ahead and your Son feels better so you can catch up on your sleep! Mine are all grown now! Take Care and thanks for taking the time to get this video out to us 😘❤️
Hi Lisa lovely to see your comment ❤️ thank you very much I can’t quite believe how quick the time has gone! I’ll definitely try and work in a what I eat vlog soon. Thank you for the well wishes, poor little love is very tired but can’t sleep. Thanks for being here ❤️
Amazing results Kirsty, feeling alot less anxious now to start after my holiday.. today is the day! So, what sort of foods do you eat now, meals etc and how do you monitor/measure your muscle and body fat? thanks so much xx
Hi Nadia! Ooh that’s so exciting! I hope all goes well for you I’m sure it will! I’m currently eating high protein and lower carb but some days I feel like eating more carbs than others so if I feel like my body “needs” the carbs I up them. Especially being a woman, our bodies need more carbs during ovulation and menstruation so I’m really trying to tune into how I’m feeling and what my body needs. If I’m feeling like I’m not really that hungry I always make sure to eat my protein and my greens before my carb and that way I’ve gotten the good stuff in first! For the body % I bought a scale off Amazon that records it all via an app. It wasn’t expensive, under £20 I believe. I will link it for you when I’m home 🥰 Good luck with everything, please keep me updated!
Hi, I know you did the post about drawing up the extra MJ into a syringe. What I would like to ask is how do you that what is left in the kwikpen equates to a full dose when you draw it up in the syringe?
@@elliebouali hi Ellie thanks for your question! Each full dose is 0.6ml. So when you draw up the last of the liquid for you pen you would need that amount for a regular full dose. Thanks again 🥰
@@elliebouali yes thats correct! So for example if you drew up 0.7ml that would 8.75mg. Or if you drew up 0.5ml that would be 6.25mg. Thanks again for your comment, I appreciate you being here 🫶
@@Mariyah1821 I’ve kind of naturally fallen into intermittent fasting I guess. I tend not to eat until around 1 or 2pm most days but that’s only because that’s when I get hungry. I guess I’m more intuitively eating more than anything. On days where I’m hungry more I eat more, on days where I’m not hungry at all I eat very little and everything I do eat those days are strictly protein over anything else. ❤️
Sorry to hear that ❤️ for me personally I much prefer my chest now that it’s smaller - even though it is saggy. I’ve built a lot of muscle and it has actually helped lift my breasts a fair bit!
I am 1 week into my Mounjaro journey, I have lost 3kg, and the lack of food noise is great, if a little disconcerting. You are doing amazingly!!!
Thank you so much and congratulations! I wish you continued success on your journey - please keep me updated ❤️
