- This video is about first year flower farming. Growing cut flowers with no damage to nature. This is about a woman who follows her dream and tests the limits of abilities, besides it is only a hobby which goes parallelly to work at school. Enjoy!
If the world’s entire population worked this hard, oh!!! What could be accomplished?
People do not know what they are capable of. Same to me, I did spend more years just being afraid that project can fail and this stop me even to start. Now after reading all good comments it seems it was success :). Thank you
Paradise!
No hace falta leer los comentarios...contemplando ese lugar no queda dudas. Es todo para venta a viveros? O uds ya tienen su propio vivero?
Right!?!
The commies wouldn't work, they'd want the rewards for hard work.
Apart from that observation, what a fantastic garden, well done 👏
Wow! It is like her heart exploded to share with the world…
I’m impressed that you dug those post holes with the hand tool and did the greenhouse foundation by yourself. Not easy!
Thank you for good words :)
I have been completely blown away by this video! Totally awesome! I have been growing cut flowers for a short time and I cannot believe the volume of flowers grown here! Wishing you every success in your flower business in the future!
Thank you so much for inspiring comment :)
Wow this is awesome. Talk about dedication and determination. Thanks for sharing
Amazing! You should plant more perennials to make it easier on yourself in the coming years. I see Achillea, but you need more.
I agree, that's the plan :)
@@LazyCrazyCows Take a look at Lychnis chalcedonica, Eryngium, Echinops, Rudbeckia Goldsturm, Shasta daisy Crazy Daisy, Monarda, Veronicastrum. All excellent perennials for cut flower you can grow from seed.
Beautiful! It makes me so happy to see it. I'm in my early 30s and finally learning the lesson that big things are done with lots of time. Cheers!
So amazing! I almost gave up in my first year of just planting flowers in my front yard😅. You just made me look like a wimp🫣. Definitely putting what strength I have left in this little body,to make it through this year.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🫶🏾
Go for it! And please share some picture when flowers are blooming :). Good luck!
Oh I went for it and for my first time. They came out BEAUTIFUL! I do have pictures. This year I know more so I'm doing more.
This is soooo right... We all need a good reason to get out of bed every day!... Wonderful job!! 💕🍀🍻
What a wonderful, strong, powerful woman you are. You did all this, doing what women do, preserving civilization through the work of caring for vulnerable, growing things. I know how tired you must be sometimes, and I would gladly give you a cup of tea and a cinnamon bun while you put your feet up. Thank you for everything you do. All the positive, life-affirming work women do. 🇨🇦
How impressive ! Your energy is inspirational. It's lovely to see that your beautiful flower field also benefitted so much wildlife. I love the shape of your greenhouse :)
Wow!! Serious goals right here!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful process and transformation ✌🏽🌈🌼
Oh this is just gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing! I'm so inspired to find space for flowers now!
So much labor for one woman - It's unbelievable! and inspiring. Please film the episodes of harvesting and arranging a bouquet for the next season, It's so meditative.
Thank you, I will :)
Wow! I hope you plan to make more videos! Very imressive indeed!Just planting alone is impressive, and then keeping up with the weeding, harvesting, etc. I hope it was more than just one person doing this!
Thank you, I will, specially after reading those nice comments :). Plan is to make shorter videos and share in process. This was one person work, with some help from family in critical weeding moment.
Amazing. Well done ladies. Love the dogs and the birds going on the journey with you.
Cheers 🥂
This is soooo amazing to see! So many seedlings, so much construction and the end result is phenomenal. It's hard to believe that most of this work was one woman. Superwoman!! I'm starting a small flower farm this year and it will be much smaller than yours. But you have given me hope that I can also be successful with mine. Please share the names of the flowers that you grew. I recognized many of them but some were new to me and soooooo beautiful! Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure. Blessings!
Thank you for inspiring comment!
Not all of flowers was profitable, therefore this year will be a bit different as 2022.
Main flowers was: Sweet Peas, Zinnia, Sunflowers, Marry Golds, Snap Dragons, Limonium Statice, Straw Flowers, Celosia, Larkspur, Salvia, Nigella, Aster, Cosmo, Amaranthus, Dahlias, Basil, Phlox, perennials as Yarrow, Eringo Ritro etc.
This year I plan to seed less flower varieties, but I suggest that in first year you seed more and then analyze for next years.
Good luck with your flower farm :)
@@LazyCrazyCows Thank you for your response. I have all of the flowers you listed ready to start seeds except Eringo Ritro. I will look that one up. Thanks you for the well wishes on my flower farm. It is a huge undertaking but I love love love growing beautiful things! After watching your video I have hopes that I can do it too......please make more videos as you progress with the flowers and the house. It is stunning to watch you create and renew! THANK YOU!!
This is my dream. I love flowers and growing things. This is beautiful and I can see all the hard work you put in because your flowers are thriving well
Thank you so much :)

You are certainly not lazy I am so impressed!!!! Looking forward to be following you. How big is the field? I am looking forward to do this next year, I am getting ready.
Hello, thank you for nice comment :)
0,3hectars, and it is clear that this is limit what one person can do. At least this was my feeling when I was on field.
You are AMAZING!! Bravo!!! Beautiful work with beautiful rewards! Keep us updated, I'd love to see your success 🙌🏻
Thank you so much! :)

:)
Amazingly organized!

Wow.very impressive.did you grow flowers to sell or just for hobby and beautiful view.its a huge field.i can imagine the works you did.but its worth..new fallower here in On 🇨🇦
I am growing for selling, but have difficulties to manage time between gardening and finding customers. In this summer I hope to manage better :)
Very very impressive. Lots of hard work. Can dry all the leftovers and sell as dry flower arrangements in winter.
Thank you for your comment :)
I try to sell also dry flowers, but in Latvia those are not popular at all, people always suggest fresh. Hope this flower taste will change in next years. But this is good advice. :)
Appreciating your forward-thinking mindset. Your innovative solutions have been instrumental in pushing our project to new heights. Thank you!
You are amazing!
You may want to look up no dig gardening. You have a lot of effort here. But effort isn't always the path in gardening. Knowelege sometimes yields. Very very well.
You two are AMAZING! Thank you for sharing your journey.
Thank you so much!
What a transformation! Outstanding flower farm 🪷🌸🌺🌹🌹
Thank you! :)
Gardening is one of most universally loved and accessible artfoms 😊
Great job, you both worked really hard. Hope it was successful for you.

Wooow this is a gift for the planet and everyone watching it. Incredible; hard work, well done!❤
Thank you so much for good words :)
I'm so happy for you! It's beautiful! All your hard work is very inspiring!
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous flower gardens! When did you start your seeds before getting the greenhouse? Last year, I started to plant flowers throughout our property. The various flowers starting blooming, and racoons pulled out every bulb. They broke, and chewed on all the bulbs. They left the Zinnia's, and Merrigolds alone. The deer ate my lemon drop roses.
This year, I once again planted flowers. This time, I mixed flowers within my vegetable garden boxes out back where I have electic fencing. The flowers have been left alone. The temperatures have been hot therefore, every thing growing is taking forever. I only have a handful of flowers showing. The rest have remained small the size of seedlings with no flowers yet.
とても素敵 今年はどんな風になっているのか楽しみです
What an achievement! What a joy!
:)
Great Inspiration to chase our dreams.
Lovely!
You guys are living my dream life, anyways you're doing a great job despite the great and magnificent result I believe you had faced many difficulty❤

Everything is possible :)
Is it just the 2 of you working on this flower farm...thats nuts !!! I want you to list the vitamins you take here in the response comments please
Afraid to think what would happen if start to take some vitamins. Maybe this should try in summer 2023 :D

Just beautiful! . Hello from Madagascar, it's my dream to have flower farm one day
could you please tell me what is the band/title of the second song played?
This is incredible 💓
Great retrospective video, captured the whole experience.
Glad to hear it! Thank you :)
Wow. What love in return. What zone is your garden in
Hello, garden is in zone 6
Absolutely beautiful!
Wonderful to watch your dream come true in such a short space of time. Fantastic to see NO plastic seed trays in your greenhouse!. The structure of your greenhouse is just beautiful. Where do you sell your flowers?
Thank you so much! I am selling locally in a small city in Latvia (thru florist shops) and this summer I am discussing and hopefully will start to sell in nearest cities around. Also I open small shop in Etsy platform to see if I can succeed with dried flowers.
Wow!!! Milzīgs prieks bija par šo video. Skaisti un jaudīgi ! Vai ir iespēja apciemot jūsu ziedu fermu šovasar? Lai jums izdodas viss iecerētais!
Paldies Jums!
Esmu Saldus novadā, protams, droši varēsiet apciemot pilnziedā.
Wow! This is amazing!
Thank you so much! :)
😊 inspirational
Impressive farming! I am wondering if wood chips in between rows can prevent weeds from growing (or would that change the ph of the soil). Just an idea that I saw from Richard Perkins YT.
Hello. At the moment soil PH is already high, this is why I found the best was weeding. I only weeded 2 times, as soon as plants are big enough, weeds do not want to grow. This summer I plan to do the same way. Just need to weed in really beginning. :)
That's also my dream....but I know how much extremely hard work it would take....
Bravo girls 💐🌻🌹!!!
Truly amazing work!
Thanks a lot!
Omg this is so amazing. It made me very emotional😭 Does anyone know if she went to school for this or is she self taught?
Hello :)
No education in agricultures. Lot of reading and getting information from internet and books. Thank you for your comment :)
@@LazyCrazyCows Omg that is amazing. I recently got a plant care job and I want to get into it more! I’ve always loved plants! Thank you❤️
boy what a worker!!!
Hello, with watering cans, manually..... :)
Except sweet peas, there I add system. I will explain everything in videos summer 2023
Amazing I would have like to see the plot being ploughed and the watering system...
Love it!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! :)
This is gorgeous i love it! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! 😊
Thank you
Amazing job!!!!
Thank you!!
beautiful. impressive too xx
Thank you! 😊
Impressive!
I just love it! Can you make a video where you identify each grouping?
In next videos will be more information :)
I have never seen anyone be so ambitious their first year, much less build the greenhouse and fence herself! Very inspiring!
How long are your rows? I don’t see any irrigation. How do you water? What do you do with your blooms?
Hello :). Total length for row is 46meters. I do watering manually with watering cans. I will explain much more in this summer videos.
Wow You’ve inspired me can you list the flowers that you grew I would like to try and grow something similar but on a much smaller scale thank you😢
Hello, snapdragons, statice limonium, zinnias, sunflowers are the bests :)
wow, amazing😍
Simply amazing
Thank you so much :)
Incredible!
Spectacular!!!! This is so amazing.
Thank you so much!
Holy smokes! Did you sell these or did you have another purpose for these beautiful flowers?
As far as this was just an experimental year and hobby level, for first year selling only in local market. Also dried some flowers and now creating small shop in Etsy. This is all new and fresh and do not know how things will develop in next couple of years. Will create more video's for 2023 with how it goes :)
@@LazyCrazyCows If you really get into it, weddings are a great market to target. They are seasonal and people generally want different flowers throughout the year that you can target.
So much work involved here. I grew my first flower farm last year too. Not near as large but know the time and hours put into it. Great job. I hope you were successful selling them. Thats what I need to work on this year. The business end.
Thank you for comment. Selling was like a lame horse, I also need to work seriously to get out more benefit from those flowers :)
My suggestion :
1) green walkaway btw walk paths like some cover crops like winter Rye cereal that stops weeds from growing n you can just mow it down. There are other walkpaths cover crops but I can't think to give you more examples. Maybe somebody can suggest below.
I saw a guy ( no till growers) do that in Kentucky, USA. Smart idea for farmers.
Great idea! You can also use wood chips as a cover layer for the paths - which, over time, produces great (and needed) compost as well!
It's glorious! 🌼🌺🌸
Thank you! 😊
It's beautiful, it's phenomenal. How much attention do you have to take care of it.
Ļoti skaisti.
Paldies Jums!
Lovely to see. How do you water all the rows?
Manually so far, except sweet peas. I have a water row, I have water connection from old barn.
awe-inspiring
Just stunning...new subbie 😊
I was sure wishing someone would help you dig those holes for the fence and greenhouse
