  • The Plaque or French Top is a brilliant cooking tool that provides an indirect heat source for cooking without evaporating liquids. 4 - 5 pans can be used at one time on the Plaque greatly increasing the burner capacity of the range but the real value lies in the controlled cooking environment it provides. Presented by Larissa Taboryski, Culinary Director, Purcell Murray Company.
This option is compatible with the La Cornue 1908, the Albertine, and the CornuFe series.

I looked up this make of stoves from a recent movie we were watching and I loved the ruby red colour and the stove was like a smaller version of the collage stoves we had in our kitchens (40 of them) As an Executive Chef I would love one in our home when it is built this summer so your information and show was spot on. I Love the comments here so many funny folks need to get real comedy. =) ~ Merci Madam~

A French plaque replicates cooking on an open fire using a campfire grate. If the live coals are in the center the outer regions of the grate work in the same way. Hotter in the center less hot on the edges.

Don't see the French top as being all that useful.

Maybe not at home, but plenty of restaurants use them.

Sounds more like a South African accent... mild one. South African accent has a hint of English too.

She doesn't have an English accent at all, so how is it fake?

It’s probably between English and Australian/New Zealand.
