I buried my dad three days ago. I wanted to say sorry for the tough times we had and thank you for the great times. And how much he really meant to me. I loved the man. He had chronic Alzheimer's and didn't understand. Maybe he heard me. Love you father.

But Chicago was started as a brass heavy band. Trombone and Trumpet. David Foster changed the focus to keyboard and strings. Successful move but the founding members that played brass became less relevant.

I grew up in the 80s and listened to all the love songs. I grew up wondering who do u sing these songs to? Who do other people think about when they hear this? I rarely had a person in my life when I heard romantic beautiful songs such as this. I honestly thought this was the singer and he looked great sounded the same but would not have known their names just the band. But Lord jesus my ears didn't know this guy covered this song. Hard to argue with the number of grammy's Foster has, whether as a writer or producer.
Clearly one can't have every track be a hit. I have to say, "Chicago 17" has a lot of tracks I like. Others that I like are scattered over their lengthy history.
I'd be happy to have one hit. That would be enough to launch me on my path of becoming the next Taylor Swift billionaire musician. Granted, in my case it might be Taylor Not-So-Speedy.

This guy.....Aside from having great vocal skills from top to bottom, i believe he also has the same "something" that impressionists have. He doesn't just sing in his native voice, he slings it around to sound identical to the original song he singing. It's so subtle at times it really shows how good this guy is.

Most probably already know this but Jason is currently JOURNEY's 2nd keyboardist / vocalist and the guy taking the solo in this video is Trevor Lukather (Steve Lukather's son); re-recording the solo Steve originally recorded for Chicago. How awesome is that! Trevor recently married Jonathan Cain's daughter.
