Some people practice… and some people practice like this guy… and then there is this guy who practices like crazy and is also simply built different. Insane.
Saw a reactor drummer say he wasn't doing anymore reactions to this guy. I guess it made him feel all these years of playing were for not when you got someone doing what this guy does
david, I saw that shit yesterday, then he comes back crying like a little child when his feelings got hurt. CONFESSION: I'm not a musician and can't really understand of feel the pain Rooney must have felt. Me personally, I would not have posted that idiot video. My friend's been a better than scratch golfer for decades. I haven't seen him throw his clubs when Tiger pulls off some shot that is not possible. I don't get the tantrum. Sorry Andrew went through that "display". I guess no more "that's what she said" jokes.
Ypu realise it was just a joke right? Of course Andrew is going to keep reacting to EES clips. He loves his stuff and was just paying homage to EES in a funny way. 😂
The battle of the world -El Est vs Eloy Cas. If somebody can organise this drumm duel this will be the greatest ever drum event and definitely will be view from all musicians..
So I watch all your content as i and many respect your opinion…and when this guy shocks you as he shocks the world it means something to us music lovers…Thankyou and hail the GOAT
It's impossible to describe how good he is. We need new words to describe his level of skill. Personally, I still think that Gangham Style is his best cover to date. The stick tricks and his crossovers in that video are unmatched by any mortal. Lovin' your stuff from Texas Colby.
Generally, the word is something like "exceptional" or "prodigy". My concern is when people think these skills as being impossible or some sort of magic. Nah bruv. This is 10,000+ hours of practice.
Him and Eloy are evil twins! Based on this video, I give him the upper hand just based simply on his speed! But these two guys are so far ahead of everybody else right now, we may never see a drummer that will come along to join these two anytime in the next 10 years I have played drums for 45 years and ever since I started watching these two guys I have completely quit and I don’t mean that in a bad way it’s just when I sit behind my kit and look at it and remember the videos that I watch I just don’t have the heart to play anymore and I’m OK With that!!! I literally cannot wait for each one of them to put out a video I look for each each and every day so much talent. Please keep these videos coming.
I've got to agree this is the best thing he's done. It's utterly ridiculous, his independence and application of his technique is just outrageous. I know he uses a lot of gravity blasts but he has everything else on top. Ridiculous footwork, beyond my comprehension.
There are transferrable skills for music. And some music skills are transferrable to other endeavors. If there is a cheat code...then the cheat code is to attempt excellence in one skill, and then derivate how one skill crosses over into another skill. The danger is if one does not choose a specialty of some form. Generalized knowledge is very powerful, yet it only goes so far.
I like the fake double bass pedal that has been invented. This sounds like a full double bass, yet there is a heel/toe mechanism that has been created recently. Some jazz drummers have actually been able to do double bass without the two foot mechanism. The single foot double bass pedal is a fairly new invention.
If your kick drum bounces well and you exploit heel/toe movement in a sinusoidal and sine wave pattern...you can get 80% of double bass with one foot, and without modern inventions.
Did you notice the massive wound and blood dripping from in between his right index and middle finger? Assuming the cause being multiple takes and the unique stick grip he implies for different techniques. A work/musical machine. Look close
Victor Wooten, the famous bassist had a story he liked to tell based off something his moms told him. "The world has many great musicians. Yeah, whatever. What the world needs is more good peoples." - Paraphrased yet accurate
I've told you before Colby. Cutting the music completely instead of just very low ruined it for me. Yes I could see and hear what EES was doing but was he playing to a song? Is this a drum solo? Is he working on drills? I DON'T KNOW THIS SONG. The music should not be cut out completely, we have no idea how his playing goes with the song. Looks like he's practicing and we just happen to be in the room, without his headphones.
I listened to his version with the music a few times. NOW this shit makes sense and... You were right. I like it better with nothing but EES. I'm not a drummer but I follow one, lol.
Because in Colby's infinite wisdom, isolating the drums does help show what he's doing but the music should not be completely cut out, just lowered. I don't know this song so half the shit EES just did is wasted on me because I need to see how he's playing WITH the song, this sounds more like a drum solo.
What you seem to be discussing is the difference between a derivative cover and accompaniement added to a track. Drums are VERY sonically dense. If someone wants to cover a song or replace drums on a well known song.... even with electro style drums or techno, it is probably better to remove said drums.
I ain't saying one cannot have 2 or even 3 full kit drummers on one stage....I am just saying they really need to know what they are doing, if they try that.
I guess it would be great if I knew the song. I don't and it just sounded like an incredible drum solo. The music should not be cut out completely, just very low

Literally probably the fastest most accurate drummer alive right now. Mad props.
I know I’m commenting on my own comment but strait fire drummer doesn’t get better than this.
Maybe the best most highly skilled solo I've ever seen.
Skrilled solo

$20 green backs says u suck. Practice more butt munch.
Haha Andrew Rooney😂😂😂

Nah bruv. When you see greatness...you learn and steal.

I'd love to see that my friend 🤙🫶🤙
Thank you Colby for this one, this is so cool and by the way, I just love your reaction for EVERY video you post. Be well from Montreal
I think he is a very good drummer.
The music makes it better.
First time I've heard an isolation of his work.... I'm even more impressed!!
Who needs anything else when listening/watching him. Ni need for vocals or any other instrument ❤
So I watch all your content as i and many respect your opinion…and when this guy shocks you as he shocks the world it means something to us music lovers…Thankyou and hail the GOAT

I have no arms but this guy has made me buy a drum kit.
Guy is GOAT 🐐 🥁

If it's any consolation I believe the guy does 100 takes to do this
@@davidadams5280 That's still probably 1000000 fewer than anyone else that tried to play this song the same way....lol
This is insane dude what a drummer 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Watching from midcoast Maine

this guy is incredible
He's awesome, I follow him on Facebook and is like one of the best drummers
This is a drummer the best i ever seen
Mesmerizing
Beautifull x 3!
My favorite so far is "Baddadan". All of his covers are awesome, but there's something about that track.
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 absolutely phenomenal
Even the camera view is on point with it‘s subtle moves
This dude conqueeor of all drmmer in the world
His best video is his review of the girl playing through the fire and flames
I think i need to practice more

wow just amazing
It's utterly fantastic isn't it 😁💜💜💜💜🤟🤟🤟😓
Still waiting for more Meytall reactions from you.
"Dude is just too good" sums it all up.
No such thing as "too good". There is only "better".

Why is the music cut only drums??

Basically, if you add drums onto a complete drum track....you are probably playing accent percussion.
That’s what I said, those one handed quads are AI worthy!
KILLER.
system of a down likes it
Wait till you see him alter physics on a cymbal!
Watched from Krogers in Blue Ash Ohio, I don't know what to say either.
He’s not human
Why is the sound on the music so bad here compared to the original video?
This and eminen video
😮😮😮😮
atomic clock rabbit

All I want to know is, can he swing?
if not, then it does not mean anything?
Can you do a variable time shuffle? is usually a better question lol.
7/8 is so difficult. Doubly so in variable tempo.
Чё творит.....
reay men i have no comment i am done
You sure he is AI it's like he came out nowhere??
Thank you for encouraging me not to buy drums 😢
I prefer this without the music.
I guess it would be great if I knew the song. I don't and it just sounded like an incredible drum solo. The music should not be cut out completely, just very low
