- … and Piranha, Tucunaré / Cichla, Crenicichla, Acestrorhynchus, Dicrossus and many more in a fantastic biotope of the Brazilian Rio Tapajós near the confluence with the Amazon.

Nothing like seeing fish in their natural habitat...
One of the best underwater Amazon videos I’ve seen, awesome footage!
The caudal fin extensions on some of those Angels is insane.
Very nice video! Note how deep the water is! The angels need that tall aquarium, nice clean water and live food to reach it's potential in captivity. This video is a great example of how much more we need to offer to these fishes in our tanks. Amazing!
I’m about to replay this video all day.
the song is despacito in case you are looking for it (though I doubt it its a popular song lol)
Nice to see that Pterophyllum actually function as a school when they are given enough space
There's predators luring, also. Which may trigger schooling behavior.
The diversity is incredible! Amazing video footage!!
Very beautiful... Thanks for sharing. Just loved the angels!
Got that song in my head while watching, great footage!
Amazing!
Beautiful channel! Interesting videos! Thanks!
Beautiful angel fishes thriving in their habitat
Amazing footage of so many aquarium fish in their natural habitat. one thing that would make this video more awesome is to list the names of the species on the screen.
Really beautiful! I’m so jealous!
The sheer variety of species is stunning. Fabulous video thank you.
Best habitat video
Wunderschön ❤ Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland.
wow those red tiger lotuses are so pretty
great footage!!
Fantastic footage!
My country and your wild life is very beautiful. Gretings to footage!
Maravilhoso 💚
Awesome video!
Très beau merci!
Thank you.
Wow!!!
Nice biotop
Great video 🤓👍
❤
Super! ☺☺☺
Beautiful fish
Very very nice!
Beautiful.
You need to start making eco tours here
Watching Angelfish in the wild is stunning, puts me off seeing them in glass boxes
You can recreate their environment, and give them the best life in captivity. You can also preserve and breed them I'd assume.
Klasse Video
Nice fish
this would make for an awesome biotope!
WOW look at the extension on those fins, they're huge! They are also very fast!
Gorgeous vídeo. It’s a dreamy environment. It’s impressive how many different species seems to pacifically coexist.
👏👏👏 Klasse Film ! Viele Grüße aus meiner Amazonas 🐠 Unterwasserwelt daheim 🏡
beautiful🤩🤩🤩🤩
Aeee Brasil Selvaaaa
What species are those tetra theyre gorgeous that green glow is amazing
edit: were those pike cichlids schooling on the bottom bc theyre spectacular as well. And their environment is insane! And look at all that oxygen and pearling!
Yes, schooling ... young pike cichlids are schooling. Those are semiadult. Once found a school of bright orange ones in Xingu, even more spectacular than those from this video (but do only have few pics, no video).
Do not know which tetras exactly you mean, but those small species are extremely difficult to determine...
😮💯👍👍New sub..
What are those beautiful plants?? I need to know lol
Does anybody know what these long plants are called in the begging of the video? Thanks.
Imagine having a super big tank, with the same biotope recreated with wildcaught angelfish 😍 This looks beautifull
I'm tryimg that ...i'm in the good way. I'd like to see my tank to u
Stunning set up, what are the lilies?
Donno species, sorry, some Nymphaeaceae, what you probably did aready know.
Probably Chalceus macrolepidotus
My country is beautyful!!!!
Sim, e maravilhoso
AT 3:42, Is that a moss or algae or..monte carlo? Wish I had a pond like that.
What is monte carlo? These are Nymphaeaceae and algae. I would also like to have a pond with piranhas ;-)
hadir bos salam kenal salam silaturahmi...semoga sukses selalu. amin
Beautyfull. Can you tell me what fish swim there?
Angelfish, piranhas, tetras, pike tetras, cichlas and many other cichlids, ...
Excelente video, el audio no mucho
What is the scientific name of the red tail fish 03:37. Thanks!
What is the name of the fish at 3:06?
What are the fish at 3:11 with the red tails
Are those dicrossus filmed in the same area as the pterophyllum or more towards the river banks?
Also is the cichlid next to the dicrosdus at 2:33 a biotodoma?
Exactly the same area, only on the ground below plants and leaves - so very hard to find and take pictures.
@@gewoonFabio100 Not sure. I am not a cichlid specialist, sorry - some geophagine, but this you did already know.
@@donaldsneffe thank you for you time to respond! Ive been thinking to create a biotope tank based on pterophyllum & dicrossus . For other regions they told me that they couldn't be found together or only on rare occasions. So I'm really glad they come together in this region. Will still have to search after the bottom plants & nymphaea.
It are d. Maculatus right?
Que parte do Rio Tapajós é essa??
Baixo, ca. 2-3 horas de barco do Alter do Chão
Very nice! Whats the type of plant life?
… probably some kind of Nymphaea (water lilly), but do not know which species.
Maybe it is Nymphaea Alba
Or actually nymphaea tiger lotus
DE SPA CITO!!!!!!!
has anyone build a biotope base on this habitat guys?
Is this in the wild?!?
Yes, of course. Rio Tapajós, Amazon, Para, Brazil.
What kind of crenichila can be found here?
Sorry, dont know the species. Crenicichla is very difficult... see aquarium trade selling a log Crenicichla "Tapajos" or Crenicichla regani "Tapajos".
Thank you foe your reaponse! Yeah, ive seen alot of regani Orinoco in trade, but haven't seen the tapajos form yet.
I am asking permission to use your video as a reference. Thank you ❤
Of course you can, if you give credit to the source. Maybe use better this (same video, also my channel): ua-cam.com/video/V289reJfPY0/v-deo.html
@@donaldsneffe thanks
Does anyone know what fish species is in 1:29?
A pike-characin, probably a species of the genus Boulengerella (Characiformes, Ctenoluciidae), check Boulengerella lateristriga.
Geophagus
Anyone know the same of those lilies?
Let me know if you figure it out… closest I got was Nymphaea Rubra. This might be it with really good lighting, hence the red pads
Edit: almost positive it’s Nymphaea Rubra
Where is this place
Tapajos, upstream Santarem
Wow how many oxygen could produce those river... and the human destroys this... 😢
If this is not title people will say this tank is over populated, too much algae and need water changes😂😂
cannot read your letters...
@@donaldsneffe So much oxygen from plants!
What are those tall leaf looking plants
Water lilys (Nymphaeaceae) - but I do not know the species.
donaldsneffe yeah I found another video and someone said the same thing. Hopefully I can buy them
@@ashlyerosario5395 Widespread in aquarium trade, many species. Did already maintain Nymphaea in aquarium as a small child. Lot of light: They stay submersed, few light: they grow to the surface.
donaldsneffe ok thanks
Tapajos Pará ok
Sim...
Angelfish stripes immitating the water lily stems...
I think they're Altum angelfish, not Scalare.
No. Maybe a new species in future, ... who knows.
Wrong river system for altum. But very, very tall
meu sonho ir aí pegar una peixes desses pra mim
good video when muted
lmao
It is a small river, not a pond, at the confluence with Rio Tapajos.
@@donaldsneffe que tiene que ver
@@greenmysteriegreenmysterie1733 English? German? Simple Portuguese?
@@donaldsneffe, isn't Brazilian, this music is Spanish from Puerto Rico. But the video on my country is very nice, thanks!
@@pragapol Eu sei - mas gosto essa música.

So to me it's plain to see we scape our tanks more to please ourselves than to please our fish
What is the fish in 1:31 to 1:32?
A pike-characin, probably a species of the genus Boulengerella (Characiformes, Ctenoluciidae), check Boulengerella lateristriga.
such a shame the amazons destined for destruction :(
Despacito
what is the name of the fish in 2:03 and 3:11?
The species with red fins is (probably) Chalceus spilogyros, the small tetras 2:03 are difficult, probably some species of the genus Hemigrammus, maybe Hemigrammus belottii - but only "maybe" ;-)
