How To Plant a Drift Rose

Here is a informative video on how to plant a drift roses and to help it get established. Drift love sun, they are a great plant for front edge of beds, they stay low and drift and the blooms are beautiful.

I really liked your demonstration of planting. One question however, on the Drift Rose web site (FAQs), they clearly state that Drift Roses like neutral soil with a Ph between 5.5 and 6.5. I thought I heard you say they like acidic soil. Thanks.

Thank you so much! 😅I am planting my drift roses to lay my grandmother's ashes. This helps a lot! Will be buying everything I need thanks to this video. Question; I have miracle grow rose food... should I use that and if so what time of the year would you recommend?

You can fertilize you roses whenever in my opinion but we do it when we Mulch so before we put the mulch down we fertilize glad the video helped 😃

Will the DR spread its way through the mulch?
Will it spread if I use weed barrier?

Oh yes the drift will grow don’t put the weed barrier over the rootball 😆

you know what I don't even know. but I can tell you that drift will survive a drought before they survive over watering.

Clay adds mineral contact and holds moisture. Mix native soil with compost.

You don’t have to use no compost…. You can use compost but u don’t have 2 …. I don’t use any compost ever with anything ….
