John Deere WG48A Rear Tire Replacement
Thank you
Just ordered these and they're not as sharp as they should be for a new blade. Same is true for most new blades I've ordered including ballard.
yea I would sharpen them and balance them when I received em. they wouldn't even be balanced
How often do you water during the first few weeks
you know I think that depends on the situation. like right now in Texas its really Hott. so I would keep the root ball moist. when planting in the fall you may have some residual rain that helps. but overall when your planting you want to keep the root ball moist but not over saturated.
Man, that is hilarious! If I lived down in Texas, I'd come work for your company in a heart beat! Only honest people do stuff like this.
I appreciate that!
Excellent video. How did you plant so close to the existing trees like the crape myrtles? Did you have to cut the roots of those trees? Seems like you planted the Nellies very close. How has it worked out so far? Will they stay smaller because you planted them so close?
Actually thats a good question. honestly cutting the roots of the existing crate myrtles isn't ideal thats not what you want to do. we planted a lot of those hollies high.
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
hi im located in central ca i just bought red drift roses how much i need to water them?
you know what I don't even know. but I can tell you that drift will survive a drought before they survive over watering.
The bottom part wood of the box stays under the tree?
yep. just leave it

I am in love with Nelly R. Stevens: thank you for showing us the awesomeness ;) How would you prune it to make it less open and in which frequency? 😇
Pruning those is to your desire it’s a woody ornamental just have fun with it ….
@@crixustreeturf I will try 😇
Clay adds mineral contact and holds moisture. Mix native soil with compost.
You don’t have to use no compost…. You can use compost but u don’t have 2 …. I don’t use any compost ever with anything ….
@crixustreeturf didn't you put compost on the rose you just planted?
Hello! We just purchased some Nellie Stevens Hollies to create a privacy screening. We don’t have the room to stagger so what is the ideal distance to plant apart? Thanks.
What’s the length of the screen and how many did you buy?
@@crixustreeturf Around ~20 feet. Bought 2 but may need 3. We don’t want to wait years for them to touch but I also don’t want to plant too closely and then hinder their growth.
@@jamess.7415 well I mean it’s just math…. U won’t see any growth really in the first year after the roots are established is when you will see the flush…. I would plant more than 2 if it was mine I’d go 4-6’ apart idk
@@crixustreeturf thanks
Can you please do an update video on your Moms privacy plants that you did?
Way way way too close, I agree. The owners have zero patience to wait even a year for privacy. But the poor health of these hollies will come
You have no clue what your talking about. Would you like for me to take a picture of that screen now? After 3 years. Those trees are on a full preventative tree program and are thriving. The 30’ Hollie’s at the beginning of the video or the highlighted photo for the video are spaced exactly the same distance. They were planted over 20 years ago….
@@crixustreeturf Could you show us? I'd love to see how they all look now.
@@peternyc I’m actually here right now I was trying to figure out how to post a picture
@@crixustreeturf Cool. I love Nellies, but my yard is only 25 feet wide. I don't know if planting them in my small yard is crazy or not.
Very cool and helpful thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
That was a ton of work. Great job!❤
Thank you!
What rate of imidacloprid did you use?
Run the high rate on the label
I power washed one the other day for the first time. When we hand scrubbed two big ones it took so much time and elbow grease
Can someone help me here. It’s been 24 hrs since I put the injections on my tree and still they are not empty. Should I worry or I am doing something wrong? I followed all the instructions very accurately.
Hey! What is the species of tree you’re injecting? And what has been the average climate let’s say the last month
You can text me if ud like 469-416-9608
@@crixustreeturf hello and thank you for your answer. It is an OAK tree and here in TX was around 21 F in the last weeks
@@crixustreeturf thank you!
@@marizabarnes what kind of oak? When the last time you got rain?
just remember noise cancelling does NOT protect your hearing
How far apart do you plant Oakland hollies for a privacy screen? I can wait years but I don't want gaps when full grown. Thank you
Well of course it depends on how long you want to wait. Sometimes I have clients that aren’t willing to wait they want the screen now. Mature width is 15-20 ft. So I would plant maximum 6’ apart that’s just my opinion. They grow in zones 6-9….
Now, I'm questioning what i have learned. I've seen this done multiple times, but they bury the tree around the depth of the bucket. Interesting.
Enjoyed the video! Also adding lots of privacy Plants to my 1st Fixer Upper house i bought last year. Spent way more than i wanted too.. also didnt know they were so high priced & maintenance
Enjoyed watching, I would done it opposite than you did. I would put the Thuja Green Giants in the back, as they grow 12-15 ft wide and 40 ft tall. You will never see the hollies when the gr giants get growing. Just a personal preference.
100% correct, the Green Giants will over-grow in height, over and above the hollies stevens, which all will grow extremely wide & tall... I had to remove a holly steven because it got way too big and tall, it was planted only a couple feet from near my home foundation, it took about 5+ years before I realized the mistake I made by choosing a holly steven thinking it would stay smaller... these are all big, tall trees., that need plenty room circling them, not near a fence or the house, is not wise planting project.
how long does it take for the product to make it to the top of the tree?
That depends on the transpiration in the tree .... sometimes immediate sometimes can take hrs
i'm a pest controller myself, 7a, but have always wanted to be a tree doctor. i'd like to go to work for a tree company but i dont want to go backward in pay, at least not much. @@crixustreeturf
FYI, when you pronounce Nellie, please remember it rhymes with jelly.
Absolutely, thank u ... I'll make sure I remember that... I'm practicing out loud right now...
Lol, every time he said that I was laughing because of that pronunciation
Great job!I'm getting 10 7-gallon Oakland Hollies Wednesday to replace a privacy screen.I was told by a horticulturist to never dig in wet soil because the structure of the soil is different than when dry.Any thoughts? How is watering them in after planting not similar to the soil being wet beforehand?
You know .... idk.... I mean maybe he was talking about planting in saturated soil conditions that don't drain well? You want good drainage. But in East Texas this is how you want to get it done... What climate or state r u planting ?
@@crixustreeturf Sorry for the delay, my notifications were somehow turned off.I'm in south louisiana, now zone 9a.They are on a slight incline along a small river.
Bro you did all that hard work. What if it dies form oak wilt that would be a shame 😭😭
So do we stop planting trees in this world cause the possibility of those trees dying?
Great video! Why did you use Oakland Hollys by the master bedroom instead of more Nellie's? Are the Oakland Holly's denser, so better privacy? Thanks.
We just did it cause we were tired of planting nellies haha
Took the first time fear out! Thanks for the tips.
I wonder if you could add fertilizer to a citrus tree in this manner?
Thank you. You said 26-6-11 Fertilizer? What brand?
Can they thrive in shade or partial shade?
Can you please show us an update of these plants! It would be so helpful as I’m planning mine! Thank you!
Thanks, I'd love an update. I fear the thujas may prove unnecessary after the nellies fill out.
They grow 10 to 15 feet wide, those are planted wayyyyy to close to each other and the fence. You'll have to really prune on them to keep them apart and not smashi nto that fence.
I completely disagree I have estates with Hollie’s planted 3 - 6 feet apart and the trees are 30’ tall …. No one is going to wait 10 years for there Nellie to get that wide. Just remember it’s a woody ornamental you can keep them how high or as wide as you want…. That may change your approach a little bit. All about speed dude u can do anything u want with them.
I really liked your demonstration of planting. One question however, on the Drift Rose web site (FAQs), they clearly state that Drift Roses like neutral soil with a Ph between 5.5 and 6.5. I thought I heard you say they like acidic soil. Thanks.
Great video! If you were planting the Nellies as a screen , but along a fence line how far from the fence would you plant them?
Dude,if you want to protect your ears from noise then these earphones is not for that. Buy a proper safety headphones and you're sorted.
How do you know how many mL/ capsules to use???
I have that question as well. I think calculate the dbh for my tree it is 22 and there is a mauget table that tells you amount needed based for that dbh.
Next time loosen the idler pulley on drive belt might help you
Bro get some JLab headphones they have like an 80 dollar pair at Walmart best set ive ever bought asfar as noise reduction
Thanks!!
Joe Biden sux
Well done, thank you for sharing. I am looking at these same hollies for privacy from a busy sidewalk.
You planted the Nelly's too close to that wire fence
Why are they planted high? Is there some benefit?
Drainage ……. You want to plant in a way the soil will drain away from the roots
"Plant them High they won't die. Plant them low they won't grow" Hicks Yew especially do not like to have wet feet. But most landscape plants do not like wet feet.
Beautiful!!!
Good info. I’ve used them before w pretty good success on my gravely compact pro. Haven’t used them on the radius or vantage just yet.
Water is a water bag for the tree
