So about 10 minutes ago I left my job for a minute to go to the smoke shop and in 1st gear on gravel mine was spinning, it isn’t in ur head it gives her more power😭😂
What happens to it in a heavy rain or being behind traffic kicking up water? On the '17 water will settle to the bottom of the housing and not saturate the element, the mod looks like it will get washed out.
If parts would magically fall off you would definitely hear the rumble specially with a 5 inch straight pipe. I didn’t care for the warranty and parts disappeared on my 2020. Didn’t want to deal with the regens and cared more for the longevity of the engine.

Much appreciate all your info. I’m looking to buy a f250 power stroke used. Probably a 2020. You spend time in the seat as do I. I’m hearing complaints about the seat in the XLT being uncomfortable. What about the Lariet? Value your input on this topic.
My dad has a 2020 6.7 DRW Super Duty. It has the 4.10 rear end. He gets around 17 to 18 mpg on the highway. I can't see this getting him any more mpg because of the rear end ratio. We love the truck though!
I have a 2020 6.7 DRW as well. I get about the same. I have 430 gears... I feel like with my gear ratio I'm probably going to get about the same MPG no matter what I do! Short of a delete.
I just put the sinister hot&cold side pipes and saving to get my CAI next.... My 6.4 has some parts missing and I love that sound but on my 2020 6.7 probably be intact til my 100k gives out
I have been thinking about install on my '19, but I've seen reports where guys have had the truck throw a code after installing the S&B. Air flow out of range. Dealer said there was nothing they could do except remove the kit. I hope it works OK for you, will be watching.
Should get that on ravens dyno see what it makes at the tires.. I’m going in Friday hoping to maybe have my new gears installed possibly before then... be a good video their dyno can take up to 81 inches wide
Did the S&B really do anything for the 17. I have a 17 Platinum and have been kicking it around. Had one on my 6.0 Excursion and a A&F and they did NOTHING but make it louder. Didn`t help power or mpg it did NOTHING. Driving to Chicago I actually stopped and put the stock back on as I had lost almost 4mpg. So the stock was better for both mpg and power.
For the 17-19 it will help the truck get more air. As for some reason like he stated they put the battery in front on these years. As far as mpg gain that all depends on your driving habits.
@@carls2210 I know where the air box is on the 2017 and that it has like 3 elbow to get to the air box. And more air more power etc. As I stated I was wondering because. I tried 2 different aftermarket air boxes on my 6.0 and they did nothing but make noise LOL
Bull$%*t! No way you gained 3 mpg by replacing the factory air box! How much did s&b pay you for this video? Also the map sensor is located on your intake manifold. The sensor on your intake is a called mass airflow sensor.
Yea I know I said that. I have installed tuners that intercept the map sensor or atleast I thought I said that. This video is old. I bought this at full price and whatever I said in the video for mpg is what I seen happen. I have absolutely no reason to lie. I couldn’t care less who buys this thing.
Deleted my 2020 platinum, only put a small tow tune in it and it blows away the factory truck. Great MPG, runs great, the 2020 6.7s have a certain turbo hum to them that my 2016 and 2017 didn’t when they were deleted
Nice truck, and I’m glad you like your new intake and filter. But i don’t believe for a minute that a pound or two of differently shaped plastic can increase fuel mileage by 2 or 3 mpg. That’s an $80k truck. You think the Ford engineers passed on this because it costs a few dollars more? I’ll stick with the stock setup.
They do seem to change all kinds of stuff every year or two...they did relocate the air box and battery to make for better air flow within what 3 years....so maybe they don’t think of everything....so my guess is the thousands of people installing and reporting better response and fuel economy are not trying to fool us. Mine works as stated and as reported. Cheers
Jim, short answer. Yes. 80k truck or not there are many items that the Ford engineers skimp on. Don’t believe me ? Check out the attachment of the plastic trim at the top of the rear window slider. Guess what it’s attached with ? 3M tape. If you push hard enough from the outside you can pop that whole trim piece off and push that little square window right in. Is that top notch engineering ? Lol. As far as the intake tube, less bends = less resistance which = better flow resulting in better efficiency for the 2017-2019. The engineers moved it to the front on the 2020 for a reason.
I did my 24 Tremor all at once
S&B intake
Pusher off-road intake manifold
Pusher turbo inlet
EGR delete with coolant bypass
DPF delete
5 inch exhaust
NOW it sounds like an old school diesel!!! What a difference!

Anxious to see the mpg comparison...about to level w/ 37’s this week and think this might be good offset for potential mpg loss.
