I just found your channel. Great review of the Eagle. I own an Eagle 5S and it is awesome. I just started down this road and want to learn more. I am also in Arizona, Phoenix. Do you guys meet somewhere?

I heard that the holes drilled in the Eagle don't match the standard brackets spacing. Is this true? Prima Luce sells their own mounting hardware that you have to buy.
How is the weather protection for the connectors?

We cannot really comment too much on this. We mount outs using Losmandy clams, it works fine. The connectors are very solid and likely the best on the market. As far as weather protection we are not sure but again, we have not had issues.

It’s nice except the cord prices.

They are pricey but they are very solid connectors.

I'd like to add that the Eagle 4 Pro is fast enough to capture full planetary video in full resolution sent by the camera.

ZWO locking you in is not “phenomenal” and the number one reason I’m switching to the Eagle if they were more open source in allowed other brand accessories. I would stay with them but I am jumping ship because I want accessories that they don’t even offer and then they don’t allow you to use other brands.

The ASI Air provides a good starting point for many beginners and gives a lot of control to someone starting out. But many people find out quickly the limitations and want to grow. The ecosystem of ZWO locks you into their equipment which many people are ok with. But many advancing users want more capability, that is exactly what the Eagle gives you. That is why we use Eagles for our remote systems because the ASI Air does not offer remote and other advanced capabilities that serious imagers require.

Okay. he seems to feel this is awesome cuz it turns off ports?? on and off??? BUT YOU can do this with a NUC pc??. but seriously you can TURN off and ON Ports on ANY Pc. via the Device Manager.. and of course you'd have to add a few things to it etc. but IF you have NUC on your Scope already. I'd say for $300 or less you can add most of the features of this to it.. IMO.

@@FocusAstronomy didn't mean to offend you .. I'm NOT knocking it. IF you've got $$ to burn it's an awesome device to have!! ..Just for the Majority of folks.. they can perform most of this for a lot less.. and get similar results..
Heck if I had extra money laying around.. I'd be tempted to purchase one .. LOL..
