  • Went to Apple Valley for the third time in six months today, this city is my usual option when I have no idea where to go. This unit is at Huntington Park and still has its original analog ESC-864 controller. You can hear other sirens in the background as well.
Also, someone decided to take their dogs for a walk today, so I apologize for any barking you might hear.
Apple Valley's sirens are tested on the first Wednesday of each month at 1PM, like most of Minnesota.

Wonder why modern ones are much lower pitched

For people’s information, this siren uses an ESC-864 controller. It has a much slower wind down and also doesn’t go as low as a normal Pre ESC-864

Are those Rosemounts ASC T-128s or Minneapolis Whelen Vortexes being heard in the Background

This actually sounds more like the PRE ESC-864-A controller, like what Fort Wayne has. I think it was called the ESC-3000 controller.

Interesting. I wonder if the other analogs in the city have that as well.

indeed it was called the ESC-3000, its extremely rare to see a 4004 with an ESC-3000

This is not an ESC-3000. This is a regular analog ESC-864
