Well I am embarrassed now! I do respond to all comments but as you can see I am a little behind because of the holiday. I'm not sure if you already got an answer to your question but I'll let you know that MemberPress doesn't style the front end of your website, it just protects the content. So you can make the front end appearance be whatever you would like it to be.

1. Between Membermouse and MemberPress, which plugin you think is better because they are similar but I can see Membermouse is hard to setup, I am not sure MemberPress is similar as well.
2. I am not sure this is out of the scope of this video or not is about Sendowl, I am not sure if I use Membermouse or MemberPress why do I need to use Sendowl or if this is a plugin for those membership plugin that is not so advance without payment gateway.
3. The third thing is about Paypal, do you know if Paypal is working well with MemberPress since their website told that Paypal does not support digital products such as online course anymore.

That is a feature that is only in the Mac version of Camtasia, the ability to add a mask on a video.

Hi Adam I am new to Membership plugins, I wonder if you could recommend a nice WordPress membership plugin for the sole purpose of company filesharing, where different workers can log in every day and download different files, images and videos. There has to be one admin that can post different content along with uploading files - all in a nice and easy maneuverable control panel?

Yes Daniel it will pull in the styles that are defined in your and you have full control over the CSS over the other elements. Also their support is very willing to help you with any CSS that you may need.

Well MemberPress isn't really a visual thing, it's the most un sexy plug-in for WordPress. That's because it protects content not creates it.

Hey Kurt, my favorite theme and page builder combo is the Astra Theme and Elementor page builder. But really you can use any combo. You can start building out the content and then add MemberPress when you are ready to secure and sell access. In the meantime, you can put your website in coming soon mode so people will not be able to see the content. Elementor has a coming soon mode, so you can easily do this.

Great introduction video. I have a client that runs a ski school. The system would need parents and children under the parent. They would pay for the various instruction programs that the school offer based on age and type of skiing (snowboard, racing, acrobat etc). The season expiry option is great. I think I can make memberpress work for this application. One question, can the email system be used to communicate to segmented members? Like parents only, racers only snowboarders only etc?
Would this be just for selling in person instruction programs or with these instruction programs be delivered over the Internet?

Hi Adam, I wish to build an online course website, free to register. On that page customers may enroll in courses that will have a price tag on them. Do I need Member Press to do that or can I do it with Learn Dash itself? I am confused because in all tutorials it's all about Gold or Platinum Memberships. Yes, I wish to protect my content but I don't want to offer recurring subscriptions or monthly fees. I'd appreciate your honest response on that. Thanks, Sascha

Also security-wise, is something like WordFence and Akismet recommended/necessary when using MemberPress?
MemberPress has its own checkout system. You should still use a security plug-in that will protect your website from brute force hacking and other security issues like that. MemberPress protects your content and it does secure it, but it doesn't provide security overall for your website.

I would recommend not using it. It is very outdated and built in a very complicated manner to implement. For me it's just not worth it.

It depends, if you only needed for one website you can buy the lower package.

I'm going to be releasing more videos on the membership site solutions. Essentially most if not all of the free plug-ins in the WordPress repository are not good.
I am selling dance choreography videos(over 150 titles) but some date back. Presently we have only streaming and download and would like to move to a subscription solution. Do you know if memberpress would still be able to offer a "buy now" if the member chooses to download. Many dance instructors do not have wifi at their studios so they may need a download option.

Well you can provide 2 options for your content, 1 would be streaming and the 2nd would be a download link.

Hi! I have a question: Do you know if I can use wordpress to create a website like Patreon? I want to make a social network with Buddyboss. My idea is that each user can create, manage and sell their own memberships / subscriptions in their front end profile. Is there a way to do it? I have seen that there are a lot of plugins like memberpress or paid memberships pro, ultimate member, etc. Unfortunately, I think these ones only allow an administrator to manage the memberships and that is not exactly what I am looking for. Can you tell please, does MP create a TABLE on the database of your members, assigning values for members, for example 1 (if member) or 0 (non member) or something like this?
No I believe it uses the default WordPress user tables.

Memberpress doesn't do anything to the front end of your site. You create a page as you normally would, what it looks like depends on your theme or page builder.
What about the pages it creates, are they customizable and if so, is it poss using a page builder like elementor?

The only challenge is there isn't a. way to dynamically change what someone owes and have the automatic payments tick away at it.

That's a great question Nick. You certainly can on the same website it will be able to handle it. Usually you want to separate it if you're going to have administrators that you might not want to have logged into everything. So for me I'll separated so my content writers will not be logging into my e-commerce platform.
Hey I'm looking into setting up a members community page. Where members can create a profile and post to a bulletin board style page. With an ability for users to review and provide references for each other. Not sure this would be it but any videos on something such as that or ideas a program to use to make that?

I much more prefer MemberPress, by a mile. I found paid membership Pro to not be that intuitive and take a lot longer to actually set up.

Hey Eric, it doesn't currently have that. I think many people use a plug-in called ultimate member to create member profile pages.
We currently have an LMS website and would like to convert to MemberPress. Do you know if my current paid memberships will transfer from an LMS?

Yes, what you would do is create whatever you want using normal WordPress and then use a plug-in like this to just protect all of it and sell access or however you wanted to grant access.

Would this work for a small homeowner association (about 200 members) that doesn't want to utilize payment options currently? They want 3 levels of access for various pages/posts/documents/internal communications: visitors, general members, board of directors. They want to keep everything in one place. Currently, board members are using personal computer mail programs. And data, documents, communications get lost when the board members change every 2 years. And they want to communicate in one place where the data is stored.

Yes I should do that. The thing is that all those IDX plug-ins are really services that are quite expensive.

I have been looking to purchase MemberPress for my site. My goal is to have a 'client site' for 20 individual clients. Their 'site' will be 3 different pages that are the same layout for all the clients with the exception of their unique logos. It will have different pages like for example a tab that has 'dogs', then another tab 'cats', so I can upload dog content on the different tab from the cat content, all on the same client page.
I do not want them getting access to other clients 'sites'. Would I have to make 30 pages for each client, then a different membership for each site, or does MemberPress have username->site association? Any help is greatly appreciated, your videos have helped me tremendously!

It sounds to me that this is a problem better solved with a little bit of custom coding or using a tool like Beaver Themer to create custom page templates that will all in information that is tied to the actual user

I use the Divi LearnDash Kit (Divi+LearnDash) and for manage the access I use memberspress.
I am now beginning to create the pages and configure the applications and the have a nice presentation for the user profile I don't like at all the memberpress presentation.

Hi, i'm loving these tutorials and think I'll buy MP through your link. But I can't figure out if it will suit my specific needs. Basically: I will need two types of members (one paid, one not) who will be able to post jobs and message one another about them. They will also need to have different profile fields and different permissions.

I understand if you can't address all of the things I mentioned. But can I have different types of members? My site is not at all like AirBnb, but think of that model. Hosts and guests. Different profiles, different permissions, rating system and messenger.

This would need to be a custom solution that you have built. Unfortunately there isn't anything off-the-shelf that can do all of what you're asking.

Well MemberPress is going to work perfectly for anyone that needs to secure and sell content. While you can give it away behind some kind of a registration form, but it will work perfectly for any scenario.

It appears that most e-commerce membership sites have one service with multiple levels (silver, gold, platinum), my challenge is that I have multiple services that each have two different levels of service: multiple educational courses that each have different levels of support and feedback at different prices. I'm trying to figure out how to access those from a member's account page or a different work around.
I would like to create a membership website that allows anyone to go to my website and place an order and then my members can be assigned tasks from the orders submitted. Would I be able to do this or what plugins would I need to do this? I would like all this managed from the website. So a member logs in and sees certain content that other users can't and it will show tasks given based on anybody submitting an order via an online form.

I had wordpress site and honestly I spend more time updating the pluggins then I did growing business. Plus I never felt comfortable with self hosting as I am not IT expert. I switched to Shopify about 6 years ago and its been much better. I also tested Big Commerce (which is better if you have particular payment gateway you want to use). Wix in last 10 months added membership/subscription features but still working out bugs. What I have not tested yet is square space but its look expensive.
So great video. I just need to know if memberpress can redirect a logon based on refered. I am thinking about something like:
1) I will send a custom email with a custom link to my wordpress site
2) Student will open the mail and click on his custom link (it will be differten link each time): mysite.com/lesson4/section2.3
3) MemberPress login authenticate the user and if all is ok... redirect user to mysite.com/lesson4/section2.3, not a home page, just the link.
Right now I can do this with a plugin called Theme My Login + redirect="referer", but it's so limited...

Depends on your Paypal account. How old it is. Old Paypal account have it, new ones have to switch to a business account.

Yes it will work perfectly with Divi.
In fact I'm using it with Divi and it works wonders except by the fact that you can't change the layout of the membership pages so you always have the sidebar unless you change it internally.
This is what functions.php is for, remove that sidebar.

I want to make a system where the customer chooses a plan to subscribe, and after he chooses the plan, he is redirected to pay for the plan, and he pays with a credit card and each plan will have only one month of access. and after those 30 days it is automatically deleted ....

That would need to be totally custom. There are no off the shelf solutions for that.
